Curious about modular synthesis, electronic music, and sound design, but unsure how to get started?
I have something for you! Join my FREE "Intro to Synthesis" mini course here: www.soundandsynthesis.com/firstpatch2022
PS: You don't need any special gear to do this-just a computer with VCV Rack (which is free to download).

love how the design of this synth feels like some kind of alien technology. it reminds you that this tool has it's own unique language and you'll need to abide by it's terms to have a conversation with it.

Watching now! I ordered one at noon on 10-10 (thinking they would sell out), so I should have one in a month or so. Thanks for another perspective on this! Also, I hadn't heard anyone running external audio thru the Noon yet, I'm even more excited for this. BTW, I was going thru old Darwin Gross (RIP) interviews recently and came across your episode.

Close, the difference between the voltage from a PSU and the voltage from a CV source is impedance. The PSU is capable of delivering much more CURRENT, which the passive circuitry doesn't need much of. Having said that I imagine the output of the Noon requires some amplification? 👍Fun drum machine 😄

I have all the other Landscape products but I’m really struggling to like this one. Everything I’ve heard it produce has a certain same-ness to it… mostly droning or percussive mid-bass noise with copious amounts of high frequency modulation. Perhaps that tendency can be overcome with meticulous crafting of input signals, but it’s far too expensive for me to take that chance just to find out.

Thanks for the work I've been listening to your albums and I dig them Don't know how you can make a living with this sort of music tnd the videos (so it's not a judgement) but my issue is that it can reinforce people GAS wich is not pnly a joke but can be a very big deal. So a little trick I use and it works a bit on me when I hear the sound I ask myself how can I produce this sort of sounds, most of the time I find a way. This is the case for this. The official name is not GAS but this kind of behaviour can be a serious disease that can badly afect your life. My job was working with people who've got addiction and had a GAS problem myself that's why I think I can let myself write this kind of things. Nice music anyway!
