- I spent the morning beach glass hunting on Lake Erie! The beach glass was plentiful and the state nature preserve was just beautiful! The beach also is loaded with rocks and driftwood. This is the first video of two trips to Lake Erie beaches. The Great Lakes do not disappoint!

For to the past 3 years, I've been going to the beaches every weekend.. Lake Erie and Lake Ontario... It's addicting... But I also find wishing rocks, hag stones, slate and drift wood... And my very first time, I found a beach glass green marble.
Happy hunting :)
Yay! A marble! I screamed the first time I found one! Beachcombing is so addicting - there is nothing that I love more for relaxing and just being in the moment. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video! So great when there is a welcoming member of the sea glass community :)
You are so welcome 😊 thanks for watching!
I love finding quartz "balls" from Lake Michigan. That is a lot of glass in such a small amount of time. Exciting. I go mainly for glass and quartz and end up picking up lots of pretty rocks as well. Way more than I promise myself.
I know it is hard to stop collecting! Just one more piece....😜😜 Isn't quart just beautiful though?!
とても綺麗なシーグラスです。
楽しい時間をありがとう。
Thank you - it was such a fun day!
Glad to see you back. I always pick up heart rocks. That little green neon bead looked like something on my husband's fishing lines and lures. The bloopers were fun. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tina! I am so happy to be able to be back on the beach! I think you are right about the little green ball. I suspected fishing gear, but wasn't sure. Thank you for watching! 😊
well done on the finds gl&hh
👏🏻❤️
My son would love those stones.. pretty cool!
Thank you! I hope he can find some someday!
Great finds dear ! U were shaking with excitement !! ❤❤
Ha - it would appear that way😊 I actually have tremors (I'll be doing a video on it soon). It is annoying, but I try my best👏🏻 Thanks for watching!
Nice beach walk. I think the pink and green bits are linoleum tile flooring
Yea, I think you are probably right about that. It definitely felt like something "man made". Thanks for watching!😊
Oh good ones.
I know breakwater Beach and walnut Beach I also know lake Michigan and finally I know mosquito lake and the speech lake Erie
People don’t want to give much info on where to go so thank you for this!!!
You are very welcome! Enjoy!
I second that! I'm heading up this weekend to purchase a camping trailer but I'll be hitting a few spots at lake Erie. Hoping to find at least 1 tiny baby Yooperlite!!!!! happy hunting!!
Hi. I am thrilled to be here. I visit my daughter and love visiting Lake Erie to go seaglassing. Always stuff at Headlands. Scrape your hand or a rock over the top and can always find colors. May be smaller. But always thrilling. Good luck. Enjoy.
Oh I would love to go back to that beautiful beach! Loved it! ❤️ Thank you for the comments and for watching😊
This summer I went to Lake Erie for the first time since I was a kid and am going back again for my 4th time this year 🥰 it is so addicting, I wish I lived closer!
I really is! I hope to get back there as well! Thanks for watching! 😊
Great video :)
Thank you so much! 😊
at 5:30 it looked like a little teal one in the upper right of the one you grabbed
Wow - you have an eagle eye! There are two scenarios here - either I did see it and I just didn't film picking it up, or I completely missed it (which is probably the case!). That is why I like to keep my head down on the way up and back down the beach because I always seem to find more on my way back.😊
I'm so jealous you found a hagstone! I went beach glass hunting today on Chautauqua Lake in NY! Great video.
Oh wow, did you find anything? Never checked out that lake!
@Traveling Treasure Finder Yes I found a good amount of glass and after I researched I realized it's part of Lake Erie 🤷♀️
I’d love to live at the beach again. I’m from DE and now live in TN.
We are getting ready to move back to our home state of Mi so I can't wait to do more great lakes hunting!❤️
When you went to pick up the white piece at 14:15 I thought you were going for the huge brown piece in the center of frame! XD love these videos, they remind me of home
LOL! Do you think that is glass? It looks like a rock to me, but it is very easy to miss glass unless it is green or blue! Where is home? Ohio?
@@TravelingTreasureFinder I think it is! I could always be wrong though! You never know until you pick her up lol! I’m from the EUP, but im currently in college in the middle of the lower peninsula and im missing the water💙
I know you did this a year ago, but those green are possibly asbestos, I was told. Fun times at Headlands!
oh wow - I have never heard that! Thanks for watching - I hope to get back there sometime!
Our favorite place, sorry you didn't get much hints, like headlands in mentor, woot!
Ha! Loved it there! So beautiful!😊
Fun! What do you do with all of your finds? I’m just picturing bags and bags of rocks stashed in your RV 🤪
You should have seen my house! lol. I only have a small jar as of now, but going to Maine as you know...this could change! I have a secret place in Maine that has a LOT of glass! Also when we get to Florida... love my shells as well!😜😊Mostly I display them, but I did make a decorative mirror that turned out amazing with shells. My sister-in-law has it now.
Hi there! I'm new to your channel. I've been watching random beach glass videos for a few months now. My best friend has me interested but I have yet to get out. I'm in Ohio, but the beaches are about an hour to two hour drive for me. I'm thinking of checking out that beach in Mentor, maybe early October.
I'm curious if you've ever found and uranium/vaseline pieces. My friend has quite a few, and I never knew such a thing existed until she showed me that they glow in the dark.
Oh yes, you should definitely try it. I have driven many hours to get to a beach 😜 You know, I knew that the uranium glass existed but I have never tried to see if they glow. Did you use a black light to make them glow?
The Ohio Road Trip Facebook group probably has a lot of people posting pictures of stones from Lake Eire
Great to know thanks!
Sea pottery
We were at this exact park yesterday but there were signs everywhere saying you could not collect any material of any kind from this beach so I didn’t take any :-(
Oh no! bummer! I don't think there were any signs when I was there. If there were, I did not see them. That has happened to me before and it is so frustrating!!
I think your pink and green chips is bubblegum
Oh my gosh! Really? 🤣
The lil green pellet is just that , from a pellet gun..
yup! thanks!
It's illegal to collect sea glass from any state park beach in the USA !
Thank you for your comment, but I disagree. I check each location that I hunt. According to the ohiodnr.gov, Headlands Beach offers unique beach glass hunting. There is no where on their site that it says anything about removing it being illegal. There are beaches that it is illegal to remove items such as stones or fossils or shells, and when that is the case, I photograph and discuss and then return what I found to the beach. I'm more likely to not keep what I find in many cases because I don't have the space to store collections. I collected more when I was younger, but not as much anymore.
