LOL.👍 for the helper 😎and for how the brake/control arm flew around... I didn't know you're supposed to support them, that's why I'm watching videos :)
The car is stiffer and you bounce more with the road but it feels more stable especially around curves. I didn't replace the front sway bar, there was more value in replacing the tiny rear sway to keep the back end in check.
The rear seems to be the most confusing or not-obvious for most people on these cars. The front has obvious spots like the subframe/control arms mounting bolts.
So you are saying you did it because it is easier? Are you also doing the front or leaving it as it sits? The rear sits higher stock so I might consider this to level it out.
I think it will look terrible to only drop the rear. Also I'm sure the suspension will be squirrely. Do the fronts too. They don't go low enough to worry too much about ride height.
She is an amazing helper. When my son was her age he had zero interest in helping Daddy. Great job!

Love the daughter so committed! Great daddy job !
Great original content, 5 stars and a sub. About to do it on my 2020 GLI Autobahn and your video really helped with the encouragement!
Thanks! It's not just about saving money. Its a great way to connect with your car/hobby.
How do you like the MOOG sway bar endlinks? So they require any maintenance such as cleaning / greasing?
Zero Torque specs in the description?
Edit: Saw it at the end ty
Nice! I’m in NC. Wanting to lower my 2020 Jetta rline but not sure what to get. Plus I’d have no clue what I was doing 😂
All GTI stuff fits Jettas haha. Researching on youtube is a great first step to learning what to do!
how does the car sit on these springs? I'd like to see how the fitment looks and stuff
I have h&r springs on mine and it sits pretty nice
How different does the car handle after the install? Did you install a front sway bar too or just springs?

Is this the with the active dampers? Just wondering if it’s the same process for my 2021 with active dampening.
No this doesn't have the active dampening.
Whats the reason that you only did the rear?

Oh I thought this question was on a different video. I did the fronts too and posted a different video.
@@JonathanCameron80085 Ahhh ok, Do you think it’s a bad idea to only drop the rear?

any clunk or bang, thud sound on them since you didn't torque the bolts down with "loaded" suspension? Thanks
No clunks or bangs after a few thousand miles. Got an alignment after and everything still tracks straight too.
@@JonathanCameron80085 thank you for replying!
re-use the bolts/nuts or brand new ones?
You can re-use them *at least* once.
@@JonathanCameron80085 🥲 my ocd will kick in but I trust vw stretch bolts can be re used once*
