The 9th Wonder Of the World. That was this podcast. I have been watching Aldrine for 5 years, a couple of years longer than my discovery of “theukulelesite” podcasts. In February 2022 I saw Aldrine’s demo of the “Beautiful Kauai” for the Ukulele Underground tutorial and set my site on learning it. Not a lot of success. Three weeks later, during the night of 3-4 March, I had a stroke (I’m 74 years old). I lost the use of my left hand, my ukulele chording hand. I quickly began regaining finger movement, and am slowly progressing. Though I can’t play some chords well, yet, I have continued learning the song. Steadily improving. I have completed occupational therapy (one month after beginning therapy). At my final evaluation I was told the best thing I can do now is to continue doing certain hand and finger exercises and continue playing ukulele. All of you on this podcast are inspirations for me continue improving. Thank you for that and the a stupendous discussion and podcast. I am a theukulelesite paid member, have acquired four ukes from the site, and this week received my latest purchase of 4 sets of tenor ukulele strings. Tomorrow I will be string changing day, if the left hand cooperates. I always use Joel’s video for this much hated task. I always recommend the video to members of my online ukulele groups. Keep doing what you do. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bob Dowell, Kentucky.
Wow 😳 such a heartfelt story. Keep strumming and the best vibes to you
Good luck, Bob!
Bluegrassfan, have you seen the videos of the One Hand Man ukulele player?
@@nickiemcnichols5397 I have, Last week. Stu Fuchs of Ukulele Zen ran an interview with him. I have friends who are musicians living in Texas. I used to play guitar in a bluegrass gospel band with the father. One of his sons was born with cerebral palsy and plays mandolin. He had his father playing in the band. Then COVID came along. I hear from that young man every day. Both he and the One Hand Man ukulele player are great inspirations. If you ever saw me play you might think I have nothing wrong. It takes a lot of concentration and determination for me to play ukulele. I played guitar 53 years, 9 of those was also playing classical violin, so struggling with uke in somewhat depressing. Not to the extent that I need medication.
Lol, I was searching if this interview existed last week 😆 🤣 😂
Having both my favorite uke channels come together like this is Amazing . Hopefully they come back in the future.
I remember 15 years ago spending hours on the ukulele underground forums. Now I spend hours watching these videos. The worlds have collided.
Same here!
So excited for this episode… Ukulele Underground membership is a no brainer ☺️You get 2 free classes with Aldrine every month for like $20 a month -plus a group class once a week. It’s amazing.…it has helped me tremendously… 🌸💞🌸💞🌸💞 Nice shirt Aldrine. Nice haircut Kalei. Was waiting to hear Aaron the Voice sing. First time I watched a podcast at normal speed. Didn’t want to miss a second. Thanks.
Stumbled upon this show as YT is leading me down the Hawaii Music Supply rabbit hole. Wow, I'm SO happy this podcast exists. Aldrine and Corey playing Nakashima Mika's "Yuki no Hana" is THE BEST! I love this song, and your version does not disappoint.
This was sweet! You’ll should meet up more often! The joys in everyone’s voice is so nice to hear and vibe is electric when playing!
Omg throwback to ukulele underground and learning chords to his sing-alongs 👁👄👁
Wow so cool to see you guys all together!
Love the play along, they are so much fun
Wow, all my favorite players together on a beautiful song - who could ask for more. Just beautiful!. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you! That was super dope!!! I get to see them in San Diego this weekend!! Can’t wait 🤙🏼

Another great session. A lot of talent in that room. Love the stories, the vibes and the music. Mahalo Andrew.
Such a fun and lighthearted episode! It was entertaining to watch how musicians can be such a fan of each other. Thank you as always for the music and good energy flowing from the shores of O'ahu!
That's quite a few of my favorite people in the world in the same room. Pure magic!

I love the Ukulele Underground Forum. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve even made friends that I actually met. There’s some very funny humor there too. Thank you Aldrine!
Amazing treat, next level players all together, next level recording. UU play along was the first time I ever saw and heard a Uke being actually played. It was “Take On Me”. Still in awe of this and it kick started my appreciation of this magical joy spreading instrument. Great Questions guys, fascinating insight. Have a peaceful week.
Thanks for the interesting discourse, and always, the beautiful music 🎵
4 of my favorite guys all in one place - How cool is that!

Liked this episode before even watching it !
Been putting off my free 30 day UU membership from Kanilea. Now I have to get into it. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Waaa…this was so fun to watch! I am back home and already dreaming of going back to Hawaii…haha… 🥰🥰🥰 Is it weird to say I miss you guys? 😆 Thanks again folks for a wonderful episode! So cool to hear all the stories! I can relate so much about being such a fangirl! It was hard to act cool the entire time I was there! Good thing it was recorded. Otherwise, it might as well have been a dream!
Aww. We miss you too Donna! Come back soon!
Donna!!! I’m fanboy-ing even just watching this episode, I respect how well you managed to stay so composed on the podcast! My sister has not let me forget how much of a fanboy I was when I was chatting with you and Rob in the store and Kalei walked in. If Corey had walked in as well I might’ve perished 🫠. I also love that you’re all fans of each other! This was such a great episode as always, I’ve listened to the cover of Sunday Morning probably dozens of times now. Every single person in that room is amazing in their own right, from Andrew producing everything to all the players to Rob, who backed me beautifully on Carolina in my Mind when I visited the store, in addition to just being a super cool dude. Love both the Ukulele Site and Ukulele Underground, thank you everyone for everything you do for the community.
Sunday Morning --- WOW!!!! :)
Woooow!! Absolutely wonderful, much love and have watched this 3 times already, it will be one of my all time favourite sessions. ❤
Also where can I find that Green T Shirt in round old lady size please 🙏🙏
Sitting watching you all in my bus in Kalbarri Western Australia.
Love UU it's my favourite jam anytime and this podcast for all the beautiful ukulele I dream of owning. You are all my inspiration and I love playing my ukulele 🧡💜🧡
that should have said 5 of my favorites all on one place!
Amazing UU and HMS together
Room full of talent
Much appreciation for your series with talented players and beautiful quality instruments. Would you consider a program about 8 string ukes? Also, this may be a strange request about having players play and review more of the low-end ukes, comparing their tone and quality, or lack of?
Hey I’m Juan a member of ukulele underground Aldine said to say what’s up
Koa is such a heritage tonewood for ukuleles, and all of us that are getting into this, we are likely to fixate on getting the prettiest of the three (or is it 4) K's we can afford. I did that (Koaloha and Kanilea), but it seems you accomplished players select what looks like spruce of cedar or a light acacia(?).
To me those are my 4 super heroes...and andrew is Nick Fury. What a great gang.
Anyone know the make and model of the guitar Aaron is playing? Mahalo
That's Andrew's personal Ko'olau guitar.
Imagine kickn it with these guys by the beach, with good food and booze, and beautiful vahines all around 😋
Talking sessions or guitar session?
That might have been a bad business move.
The playing skill justifies the instrument Kanile'a has made you it would be wasted on me or the average player.
