Good idea using a burnishing tool. It's better if you have one to use a rest for the burnishing tool that keeps it flat than to hold it in your hand. Sure you can argue that it's 'good enough'. But one thing good watchmakers do is constantly work to improving our practices in the craft parking our ego for a moment and not arguing instead that poor practices are 'good enough'.
