Perspective is very deceiving with the bigger planes. Very easy mistake to make. Crazy how your mind can think your plane is above and past something when your really in line and behind something like a bush/ tree/ building
You would be better off going to one of the larger shows that will be on this year and you will see constant RC action. Look for Weston Park International Airshow, Wings & Wheels Model Spectacular, Southern Model Show and Large Model Association Events.

Try not to be so sensitive 🙄 BMFA Buckminster is a public access site as far as I know so I think it would be OK to turn up and watch any event. Might want to contact them directly and check before you travel though just to check. Hope that helps although don't know why I'm bothering.
