Great video Dan. I love the set up with the tarp. 👍 As a side note, maybe consider a video of how you sort your wet / muddy kit after a wet camp as you just don't see that on UA-cam.

Great vid. Some folks can't camp without the latest and greatest. You get by with a bit of string and an Ali express stove. Cracking stuff. Dodgy on unzipping that tent though. Last week I was hammock camping rather deep (I live in the sticks and hiked 3 hrs to that spot) and catched a heavy heavy thunderstorm; now I was camping roughly 30 feet from a river so meh, i striped nikkid and took a bath under the storm...it took a minute the rain wasnt cold...squeeky clean afterward.
you cant beat the sound of the rain on your tent so therapeutic , my son and I are definitely going to give these woods a try , it was nice to see you're concern over the unoccupied tent , a lot of people these days just ignore, great video as always Dan
In the USA we don’t mess with other peoples stuff…they could have been doing nature stuff like day hikes, fishing, boating or canoeing,or even ran to town for a meal or supplies. Have fun stay safe .

Hey Dan ,great video nice woodland.. I got a bargain at charity shop last week ,got a unigear tarp new for 10 pounds never used one before but couldn't walk past a bargain..
A couple of metal tents pegs on top of the burner/stove for air flow under your pan would work if you are desperate. Saves 'hovering'! Great video, thanks Dan.
Ive done alot of heavy rain camping in my life. I live in N.H. USA, up in the White Mountains and towards canada it can be a beautiful sunny day and calm night, but it turns fierce out of nowhere. Even if rain isnt "forecast" i ALWAYS run a large tarp over our tent and cooking area. It has its own weather system where im from that can turn on a dime. Personally, i love it. As long as your prepared, its a good time. Love the videos sir. You inspire me to get back out there.

Hello Dan , I love my Tarp , Its Heavy , but I think its the Best you can get , Never let me Down . and I love the fact that it is such a Soothing sound compared to the Tent. 🙂👍
Hi Dan, great video. For the pot supports, look at the Ghillie Kettle as that's the same type of flame out the top and those supports look good, like a flat metal "Y" shape, 2 of them maybe to hold the pans.
Just a thought for future. If you get four pegs. Put them in the chimney ( NSEW)diagonally then sit the pan in the middle. It will wedge the pegs and sit higher giving air flow.
Those bacon sandwiches looked great. I am mighty partial to pig parts myself. 😅 Amazing at how much stuff you have with you and yet it is all packed down so small. When I camp off my motorcycle I'm loaded like an articulated lorry going down the motorway. 😂

Tent and tarp is always a great idea. I never understood why folks don't carry a tarp along. It gives you some freedom to sit about during rain or snow or broiling sun. I've stopped watching many a channel because it ended up being a 20 minute video of a guy laying in a tent. Defeats the purpose of enjoying the outdoors if you're stuck inside for the majority of the adventure.
Hi Dan!, I enjoy watching all of your videos here in Michigan, U.S.A. I have tarp, tent camped in all sorts of weather here, sometimes its easy to dry a small tent in the kitchen, turn on a fan, and also use paper towells, works for me..drape a tarp over the kitchen table, and turn on the fan.
Great video Dan. I’d have checked the other tent too in case someone is ill or injured. You should make a wood stove for yourself out of a 50cal ammo can.
