There's less recoil because the barrel was unplugged by the bullet earlier, but the gas system length was the same, so the chamber pressure was lower when the bolt unlocked. The gas system also gets just a bit less gas pressure for just a bit less time, for the same reason.
Def the way to go. Ejection looks like 4-5 after the cut down and didn't hold open on last. It's not the ammo... you've decreased dwell time w/o no change in gas port.
@@donalddickins8493 He's already "fucked up" a $4K gun/warranty by the cut down. It'd be r*tarded not to open up the port to dial in the ejection. SIG will not work on a rifle with a cut down barrel. So what was your suggestion post cut down?
This is why i just ended up getting the pistol length version of this. I threw an Alpha stock with a brace adapter and a strong arm brace. Also, the state I'm in doesn't allow the carry of long guns so it has to be a pistol or a firearm configuration.
I'm probably gonna go for pistol because of how annoying it'll be to get the correct configuration otherwise. The handguard is different, too, and the gas system length. I'd figure they'd sell the handguards but not yet so... better safe than sorry.

Opened up my gas port to 0.070 and it ejects to 3’o clock and locks back now. Great suggestion!
