I hear ya on .308 ammo....I'm going through reviewing/troubleshooting the auger SFAR currently on my channel and it's been pricey. 2MOA out of a semi auto .308 is acceptable for military use... too many folks think something is trash if it's not shooting sub 1 MOA and that's just not always needed. Yes it can be impressive, but not the only factor especially depending on the intended use.
Nice rig dude. I own the Spear LT and its pretty legit. I ditched the stock charging handle though immediately on it for a raptor. More surface area and much more pleasant to change.
I don't buy anyone that says their gun is sub-moa unless they can consistently 5+ groups. I've been able to get 1.25-1.50 MOA out of my 16" .308 Spear with handloaded precision/match .308 rounds. 168gr SMK Bullets, Varget, Starline Brass. I have yet to try the 175gr SMK or 168gr Amax but that's on my list, I need more practice as a shooter though, and my goal is to develop a handload that is around 1-1.25 MOA. I'd be really happy with that. If I can do sub MOA that'd be even better but we'll see if that happens.
Nice setup! I’m not sure if that max 6X is enough for you, I guess if combat accuracy is needed. I’m running the Razor on my 5.56 without top red dot since the razor’s bright dot and wide field of view at 1x. My old eye cannot go beyond 600 yards with that max 6X.
How do you like the 1.70 mount height? I find that instinct is to sink cheek down in the stock, making 1.54 the better option. Plus the 12 o’clock piggy back is pretty high on the 1.70 mount.
Not knowing about the point you take out to use any trigger I tried a geissele just went click nothing happened..but I wonder if I try the geissele Mcx trigger if that would work without taking pin out
I sold mine and bought another SCAR. I couldn't solve the handguard issue/bending and laser holding zero (MAWL). There is something to be said for the monolithic upper on the FN.

How did you get the firing pin safety out? I see a roll pin holding the cross pin in place.
Can you make a quick video showing how to remove the firing pin safety. Seems like i need some very small punches which i dont have atm.

I didn't put a rail on my scar i wated to keep it light weight but I've been rethinking that did you notice big difference when you added the rail
