I just noticed something, there's always these purple tentacle things on at least the survivors in the COA events (and only the hunter in COA 1), I wonder what those tentacles could mean, and it seems like they get more and more visible each COA event, I also noticed how in Norton's animation, the purple tentacle wrapped around his propeller disappears when he lifts up that metal thing at the end.
I know its late, but want to say, that tentacles are like effects of abyss, if human will be in abyss, then more effects will be(coa 3 s skin of clown is a consequence of abyss influence). Survivors skins in coa 3 also said about this(also its effect of using items from abyss)
i mean dark themes are discussed in the characters' backstories and the lore but the whole game design and the fact that netease makes more cute skins and events than adding to the lore makes it wayy less horror looking
