PUP is the best oil for the money and I run OEM filters as well just to make sure the bypass is the proper spec. Just change the oil in reasonable intervals and your engine will be the best it can be. Also, the Japanese filters are better but are also difficult to get and the Thailand ones are easy to get so that's what a lot of people have to end up running. This same situation is happening with other manufacturers like Mazda and Subaru, the Japanese made ones are better but have been difficult to get since covid.

Please confirm you were able to reach the center jacking point (bolt on cross member as shown in GR Corolla manual) with your Daytona 3 Ton low profile jack. Your first attempt showed you placed the jack not deep enough and than the video cuts to the next scene where you're living the car.

Yes I was able to reach the cross member, it is a very awkward Jack point, because you only have a few inches to move the handle for the first couple inches of lifting, and after it goes smoother. But you can do it!

Did mine at 1090 miles now I have 15k done 6 oil changes every 2500 miles with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w 20. Did my differential and transfer case and transmission fluid at 10k no need to do it sooner unless your tracking the car. Only mod is SXTH front mount intercooler and pipes. Next mod is upgrading clutch and fly wheel and engine pitch mount. Btw Pennzoil Ultra 0w 20 is great oil it’s a borate ester. Plus is cheap I bought 15 qt case for 77.00 on Amazon. I’m addressing the weak points of the car.

Dang, you been driving yours a lot! I plan to do the oil change every 2500-3000 miles as well!
Since you have that many miles, how does your clutch feel? Been hearing mixed reviews on it being the driver or the car.
Also how do you feel about the Intercooler, do you think it’s worth it? Any more power? Or running cooler?

@@BrandonStellmachYup bought the GR Corrola in July 2023 with 22 miles. I drive it 28 miles (each way) to work daily driver but 90 percent is highway miles (not stop and go. easy miles on car) my breaks are 8mm to 9mm still...car is great.. The only mod i have is SXTH Element Front Mount Intercooler and upgraded charge pipes. I live in florida hot weather noticed car heat soaking so new Intercooler took care of that and feels a bit more responsive now. My next mods are upgrading the clutch and and pitch mount. I'm addressing the weak points of the car before I tune it. My clutch is perfect no issues I driven manual cars for 30 years so have lots of experience. Plus most of my hard pulls are on the highway in 5th and 6th gear witch is easy on the clutch. 15500 miles knock on wood my clutch is great.

100 percent Intercooler great upgrade this car heat soaks and the ecu pull timing.. My SXTH Intercooler runs a couple degrees over ambient temp so you will (watch you tube video) not lose power..mater of fact MotoIQ GR Corolla has Intercooler and Eventuri intake and is make over 300whp on stock tune. Stock Intercooler is actually pretty good but at 25 psi turbo boost makes a lot of heat and IAT were getting up to 160. Now my Intercooler maxes out at 90 degrees. Plus stock Intercooler was getting rock dings on the fins the SXTH Intercooler 1. It has no plastic the tanks are all metal and is much more durable not one ding on it rocks don't ding it at all even at highway speeds because it's a bar and plate vs a tube and fine.

I always tried to do a break-in oil change at 1k miles as it was nice even number. I managed to do mine around 800 miles on my GRC if I remember right. Good choice using the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum as it's an excellent oil. Good to see you enjoying it! Did you get the clutch done on your 10th Gen Turbo?

I was glad to get it done before 1k!
I got the clutch in the turbo corolla, running good so far, definitely a much grippier clutch! Hopefully once it breaks in it will be nicer to drive!

@@BrandonStellmach Indeed! I did my rear diff and transfer case around 3k miles and the transmission at 5k miles. Getting ready to go on my first road trip with her next month! I'm excitied.
Good to know the Turbo Corolla is back on the road. I'm still on my stock clutch with 131k miles but I know at some point I''ll have to replace it. I'm not sure with what yet though.

Liqui Moli it’s pretty good and you should do trans case and diff fluids, can’t believe you already put all those miles in less than a month 👍🏽

I much prefer Pennzoil Ultra Platinum over LM, and it's a lot less expensive so a double bonus!

@@jimsgaragetoys I did my break-in oil with Pennzoil and after that I changed to LM at 2500 and 5K, unfortunately, I didn't send a report to blackstone for the Pennzoil, neither for the 2 times with LM, my TRX run in Pennzoil and for a supercharge engine it's good, LM is great for turbo engines, I will send a sample of my LM next time.
