That towel rack in the bathroom is Thai attention to detail in a nutshell.🤣 Perfect time to see all that rain. Roof issues and land slope issues are easily determined. Nice job on the rear gate. That bottom design is eye catching.👏👏👏
Thanks Greg, the guys that put the main roof on just left. They were here to seal the outside roof to the facade. Said Duke told them he woukd add two more down spouts if the three in place dont keep up during the monsoons. We finished the front gate those morning.
A nice design feature for your fence inserts I would suggest is to use one of the proprietary insert panels centrally but in a vertical rotation with the steel bars at 200mm crs either side. Cut down on work but be quite aesthetically pleasing without adding too much cost. Just a thought bud.
Sounds like it would look nice. Sompit wants me to draw it for her. She cant visualize well in her head. I can and i think i like it, will likely come down to cost.
Morning Kenny and Sompit. The gate looks great . Our perimeter wall will be similar to yours at the front but just a 2m high solid block / concrete wall elsewhere. I was thinking of building my own panels and gates also but my welding isn't as accomplished as yours, although I have the rest of my life to practice once I get there 🙂. You must be just about at move in by now?
Hey Paul, tilers are finishing today. Painters where supposed to be back to finish everything today, but no show. Then windows screens, cctv, and clean-up. Hopefully next week!
Just spoke to Sompit, shes worried it wont "go" with the decor theme of the house. But, i told her i think we will put one of them up along the end of the lanai to block the sun in the evenings until we can get plants old enough to do ut naturally. This is what i like the most about having this channel, lots of good ideas to work with. Thanks Radley!
Bit late now, but instead of a stop block on the gate to prevent it going to far in either direction you could do what they did at my house and welded an additional bit of the rail on top of the rail on the ground to prevent the wheels from rolling too far in either direction. Also means it doesnt stress or strain your wall as the stops are on ground level and out of sight
I had considered that, but honestly dont remeber why i decided to go this route. I might do that in addition, as insurance. Thank you for your suggestion.
@@ParadiseNThailand No worries - dont suppose you still have the model / paert number for your well pump somewhere - as I need to install basically the same thing up in Loei in the next couple of weeks
those walls are just going to hold that moisture in during the rainy season with no outlets....in 1-2 years without drainage from your yard your house will be underwater.....just fyi. just a first glance though maybe you not get enough din?
I have heard of that but never seen it. The roof people came in today and fixed it. Two hours later it rained......and leaked, although not as bad. Duke was in this evening and is aware.
Why not just make the wall fully blocked in? The bars make sense when you need to see out but if it's just for security and you have a good view from the house maybe solid blocks are ok? When it comes time to build my wall I think I'm gonna skip the bars and spend the money on something else more constructive.
My walls are mainly to hold my soil in place and minimally security. I prefer the open views and wind, thus the reason we did this. I think it would have been cheaper and quicker to do as you explained. Thanks
Nice work on the house back gate, well done Kenny.
Thanks Ken, finished the matching front gate this morning. Planning fence inserts now.
Great job, the gate looks magnificent. Watching your house build vlogs is better than watching tv......have a great day.
Thanks Jeff, appreciate your time and comments.

hi guys give a thumbs up
Thank you Terrence
Bamboo 75mm+ constructed palisade or criss crossed panels easy & cheap to construct for a natural look

Drain holes all the way around. Im ok with water going out those, dont want raging rivers runnning anywhere, taking my din with it. Erosion control.
In the uk they use lead for flashing on roofs but in Thailand I don’t think they do

@@ParadiseNThailand yeah it block window if at the same level as the house. My land is sloped so I think I could get away with it.
Why would you do all that work and expense when as far as I know foreign people cannot own land only lease in Thailand dont get that
My wife owns it, and I have a usufruct, good enough for me. Be here until i die, then i dont care who does what.
