You can’t touch Sebastian Bach, for attitude, power, and looks as a singer. He’s the whole package.
Best part of watching Skid Row reactions is seeing people's faces when Bach hits that first high note, and then in this one it has that nasty riff with it.
This was a Great Skid Row song to start off the journey.

Accidentally saw your channel and reaction, good job! Fun fact - James Labrie from Dream Theater used to sing in a same band as Sebastian, after he left for Skid Row. The band was called Winter Rose and the “Saved by Love” is the song Skid Row hired him because of. You can check Winter Rose album (1989) with LaBrie, it’s a true gem in the same style with killer riffs and raspy high vocals. Best songs - Rough Boys, Never Let Me Go, Saved By Love. Good luck! 👍

Everything they ( Skid Row ) does is killer. They could write some killer songs, unlike many bands today I'm afraid to say. New bands can play, but they dont, or can't write catchy songs it seems to me. Can't wait to hear your other reviews. Very cool.

The music video is sooo much better than just staring at the album cover. The build up especially with Sebastian Bach and those leather pants are definitely eye candy. I love that video. He is just the most amazing looking guy ever.

Fun facts: Sebastian Bach is a HUGE Rush fan (he claims to be #2 on the Rush fan club)! And Rush has a killer Rush instrumental song called "The Main Monkey Business" off of their 18th studio album, "Snakes and Arrows" released in 2007.

Great intro to the Slave to the Grind album. But like others have stated, check out Wasted Time, Quicksand Jesus, or In a Darkened Room for even more impressive vocals from Sebastian. He was untouchable during that time period.
Less than :20 in, a Skidrow fan since their first album release, and I think this is a great choice!
Edit: Great review and it's nice to get another perspective on how different people view any particular band, especially ones I like. Other than the guitar solos, I never really paid much attention to the background riffs so enjoyed that perspective. I honestly felt towards the end of the song that we were one epic riff away from clothes flying off and this turning into a private PH session! Awesome to see young people discussing and enjoying music I was listening to at release, sitting on the roof of a dilapidated 2 story house, smokin' it up with my roommate! Enjoy your Skid Row journey, it's short but intense....
The album "Slave to the Grind" is probably one of the best overall "metal" albums of the early 90s. It's meticulously recorded, with tons of professional (high-dollar) production. Many of the songs carry complex, meaningful lyrics with sweeping, "take you away" arcs. It's unfortunate, though, that this was the zenith of Skid Row's career. This CD came out when I was in my early 20s, and given what they did with this album, I was very, very excited to see where they would go from here. Unfortunately, tensions within the band meant they would never recapture the truly epic glory that is frozen in time with this recording, which still stands up some 30 years on.

Their official video to this song is the greatest rock video OF ALL TIME. Sebastian was the sexiest hottest most amazing frontman ever. Beautiful man. Voice like none other.

Recommend you try going down the Japanese female rock/metal rabbit hole, starting with Band Maid (hard rock) and Lovebites (power/heavy metal). Crazy talent and a lot of fun, plus the views they generate from the YT fan armies will definitely help grow the channel (especially Band Maid). And these aren't like Baby Metal -- singers with a backing band -- they are the band (though Baby Metal can be good too and would definitely bring in views).
Band-Maid sings mostly in Japanese with a bit of English, while Lovebites sing in English (though her voice/pronunciation takes some getting used to).

Great song..and I agree im a total sucker for guitar. Check out some Ratt. Warren DeMartini is insane with his solos..and the underlying guitar riffs are really good.
If you love killer riffs check out the band, Crowbar... Or Bolt Thrower, the whole IVth Crusade album. It's death metal, but they have some of the "grooviest" riffs.

Skid Row's first album was good, but this one was just better, starting with the title track. Sebastian Bach was always one of my favorite singers from this era.
I'm not sure what you guys know but seeing you love this track I would highly recommend digging into some extreme they've got to killer tracks that are very similar check out Cupid's dead, rest in peace, and pornograffiti. So far I can tell that you guys have very similar music tastes because I love queensryche Def Leppard Rush skid row so you will definitely love extreme period another thing to check out extremes lead singer was the third singer of Van Halen and they did a cut that was amazing called fire in the hole that is a must hear!!!!

Please review a song by Guitar/Vocal God - Ian Thornley (Big Wreck - The Oaf (LIVE at the Suhr Factory Party 2015)) Me thinks you'll like it! I'm a lifelong Rush fan and put Thornley on the same level of musicianship as the guys in Rush. Another fabulous Canadian Secret.

The first time I heard this song, I hated it because the riff seemed very similar to Paradise City from Guns n Roses, but then I bought the album and Skid Row is one of my favorite bands of all time.
