As a HMS fanboy, I can confirm the latter half of this season has made me want to commit toaster bath
Chase and Bowman actually have a reason to be outside the bubble. The fact that Chase and Bowman are as high up in the standings as they are is actually impressive.

Too be fair, it does shock me that Chase is right o the cutoff after only doing two races, and then taking a 7 week break. Shows who has the talent and who doesn't
Exactly, for them to both take hefty penalties and sit out with injuries for so long, it's impressive for them to even be in contention. Meanwhile, Larson and Byron both have a legitimate chance of making it into the final 4. Baring any more unfortunate incidents, all of them will be back near the top by 2024.
Bruh bowman didn’t have any top 10s for 13 races until this week
to be fair they both had injurys , i think elliott will win this year regardless of if he makes the playoffs or not
This truly is a *Le Faq* moment.
The annual Hendrick Summer slump.
This literally happens every year! Hendrick dominates early , Toyota becomes the dominant force and then ford which struggles starts winning more . And then it comes down to a veteran! Which is usually why hendrick loses late in the year
Do you think that NASCAR is behind this? Cuz think about it, Chevy was winning in the beginning of the season and then all of the sudden Toyota and Ford are winning late in the season. I think there's something going on here. This isn't the first time we seen something like this.
Honestly, I think Chase still has a shot. He’s an extremely underrated restrictor plate racer and his skill on road courses is undisputed. Lo and behold, the next two races are on a road course and a superspeedway, respectively. I think he still has a shot, but a very slim one.
Alex Bowman? He might as well not exist at the moment. He’s 6 spots from the bubble and he is just okay at plate tracks. I don’t think he’ll make it.
Bowman was the points leader this season until the penalty and injury. Find him a better crew chief and he can make shit happen.
If he was very skilled at superspeedways he wouldn’t pull those retarded blocks on lajoie and DiBenedetto

I'm more so worried about Alex Bowman than I am about Chase Elliott, even if both of them fail to make the playoffs.
2023 has become a forgettable year for HMS in general. Sure, they won races but that was early in the season. Somehow Toyota and Ford gotten mighty competitive while HMS and Chevy in general has regressed for some reason. It's like they lost the speed they had early in the season which is just weird.
I think Chevy lost the speed because they kept getting punished for having speed in the beginning of the year. Hell nascar tried penalizing team Hendricks for almost 4 weeks straight because they kept winning/top 5.
@@cpttankerjoe So, NASCAR is punishing HMS and Chevy for being too good early in the season? That's just unfair. I guess NASCAR looked at Chevy's dominance early in the season and said "we should level the playing field cuz one manufacturer winning isn't good for our sport". That's some boardroom politics we all love to hate.
@@JustGenius2001 now I can’t say that’s for certain. But that’s what it looked like to me. After every Byron Larson win in the early season suddenly there was a new penalty on HMS. And it was only after every win never anytime else. If that wasn’t what the intention was they sure made it look like it was a HMS/Chevy punishment.
@@cpttankerjoe I still think there's something fishy going on. Maybe NASCAR is making sure that all of the manufacturers are winning by "helping" the ones that weren't fast like the Chevys early in the season. You just never know.
Literally all four drivers would be in the playoffs if they didn’t get hurt
They’re not in trouble at all
Watch this be the eventual end to Bowman’s career
It's funny because the amount of points that both Bowman and Elliott have done are actually quite impressive. Both are running in severe pain, especially Bowman, everyone is still trying to catch up to the new car. And yes Larson and Byron kinda regress, but Larson should have won in Pocono, he and Byron fight for the win in some races, isn't like if anyone is being elite consistent expect for Truex and Hamlin.
I think i would be much worrying about Penske car's. Then don't look good, and Joey Logano feels kinda of Kevin Harvick carrying the team. Cindric is awful and have severe regress. Blayne never pop's, ever year everyone thinks is gonna be he's year, and never is, 2 top 10 in the last 12 races, awful. And even they partner team wood brothers is the worst they have being in a long time...
Not to mention when Chase came back it was right when Hendrick started to lose the advantage they had and he still has one of the best average finishes in the series
You're forgetting both Elliot and Bowman were injured this year. Bowman was leading the points prior to the big louver penalty, and even then he was still in the top 5 up till his injury. Is it a tall ask for both to win? Somewhat, but the next 2 tracks are good for them. Both have had good plate runs, and while Chase is fantastic at RCs, let's not forget Bowman is quietly good too. Ran around top 5 the whole day at Indy, and he pulled a clutch 2nd place at the Roval a few years back to advance to the round of 8. They can do it.
I'm also not too concerned about Bowman losing his seat because most of his bad runs were bad luck, not really him. Somebody takes him out *cough cough Denny Hamlin cough*, or his team drops the ball. He should have quite a few more top 10s this summer. He has shown speed. Just abysmal luck
Unfortunate, that two injuries kept them out of the playoffs. Either way no excuse, they have missed out on so many opportunities these last 5-6 weeks. I mean if bowman and Chase would just find more consistency they could legit point there way in… now they in a must win
Come to think of it, NBR’s logo DOES look like it is in the Jeff Gordon/Jimmie Johnson font…
Go Byron!
If they both wrecked at Daytona in the season finale Mr. H WOULD go nuts
I got a great idea Hendrickson swap through engine chart for Ford just put a Chevrolet logo on it😂
The real problem is that NASCAR has no superstars driver all they got is bunch of ok at best driver.
I have always loved your videos but this is a click bait video about a problem that isn't really there. Hendrick generally doesn’t do great in the summer and regains everything back in the fall. Its not like 2019 where they didn't really do anything. Can't wait to watch the next video though
I have a question. Who is you favorite current nascar driver?
Kevin Harvick
I still believe Alex has been jinxed since he ran “Pride” colors for pride month at Sonoma.
Stewart Haas Racing is in trouble too
Eh, I'm not buying it. It's not an Ideal spot, sure. But if you look at the Top 5 Drivers on Road Courses in the Next Gen era AND in 2023 alone, you'll fine both Elliott and Bowman are on that list.
And I feel like there's some serious discredit to Bowman. Didn't he go like 11 races IN A ROW with a Top 10 to start the season? The guy was Ranked #1 in Points, then the Phoenix BS happened, and he was still pushing. I do think his injury has set him back, but not nearly as much as Elliott in my opinion.
But it is possible for Elliott to win Watkins Glen, that's a no brainer.
Bowman could win Daytona... as long as Aric Almirola isn't pushing him in the first 50 laps... seriously, look that up, it's a weird set of coincidences.
As an HMS Fan, I can say that Chase and Bowman's Injuries Hurt them, and I cant say whats exactly Wrong with Larson Right now😢
Chase isn't really in trouble you can't say that till after this weekend after we go to his brst race track knowing how much better he is at the glen after seeing hiw he ran at the road coarse at Indy it's been whether or not he can win at Watkins Glen since he came back and Watkins Glen a whole different monster than the other road coarses where its so much faster and ill take chase Kylie and martin truex jr as the top 3 chase winning
um bowman won at vegas in 2022 so it hasn't been two years since he won but he might go winless this year
I think you’re making a bigger deal about bowman then you need too….. he was having a career year until his sprint car crash
Is this an ai? Really said 23 x i like they don't know it's 23 11
Chase is going to make the playoffs. Look at how he ran at Indy. He will win at the Glen
And if he doesn't?
That one didn’t age quite so well…
Chase’s car is in the Owners Playoffs tbf
Nuh uh
Chase is on the case! 🏁🏆
