+Laharl Krichevskoy actually in my opinion guild is just as good or better than bushido bow because you have can do a power shot and arc shot, with 2 hunting arts.
Adept sounds like the most hardcore of the styles for its risks but when you think about it, you HAVE to dodge, it's a given, this only rewards you more for it.
GS is really fun with adept, one of the sole reasons being, if a monster has an attack where it continues moving fowards even after it has passed the player, GS users are able to run up and absolutely slap the monster with it, instead of just sheathing and unsheathing after every distancing attack. examples of this are diablos' charge and Great maccaos' jumping attack. It also works somewhat on monster that and cause wind pressure alot because the first attacks upward swing has such good range
Adept and valor made me suck at the game. I got so used to being able to position myself anywhere and counter any move that when I went back to striker sns I got demolished
+Milenos without g rank I don't think you will have as much to do as with 4U I'm waiting for generations ultimate before buying for that reason (if It ever comes out)
From what I've seen it'll probably be a hassle learning how to adept dodge dino- Glavenus's tailswings, since he has that one attack where he charges it for a long time before lashing out, it'll be like trying to dodge those hollows that wait 10 seconds before actually swinging.
+gaijin hunter Hey GH, I know you've probably answered this at some point, but how do you manage to record your 3DS gameplay videos? The only options I've seen have been fairly expensive.
+Mr.Red I'll probably just use the first 3 hours of the game using bushido bowgun, just running around after an evade. It looks seriously cool for some reason.
I love adept charge blade, until i met Zinogre with his 3x charged groundslam. Zinogre use Initial Headbutt! Hunter use Insta-Evade! Hunter: Ha! You missed! Zinogre use first Groundslam! Hunter in invincible mode! Hunter: Ha! Still missed! Zinogre use second Groundslam! Hunter still in invincible mode! Hunter: Ha! Jokes on you! Zinogre use third Groundslam! Zinogre: Tehee~! Got you~! Hunter fainted. ._.
+FurthestBen Yeah, but Dark Souls also has a MUCH larger window of I-frames than Monster Hunter. Bushido /might/ bring it up a bit, but if it's still not as much as evade 3, (which is just a little bit less than the number of frames in DS) you'll still have to have timing. Interesting point though, it does make a sortof Darksoulsy playstyle more viable
I'm really looking forward to it. After learning how to avoid through attacks I've been stuck on using evade +1 with DB and adept looks like it'll fit my play style perfectly without requiring evade skill.
Wondering if a pure power/damaging kinsect would be nice for Adept Insect Glaive, since you are basically doing a combo attack with your bug pretty often.
+Bryanneo1 Well, depending on how much the decreased flying distance of the Power Kinsects effects it, it might be better to go for a Base Speed Kinsect(Lv.3 Speed) and then go pure Power afterwards. If the extra 15% affinity is preferred though, going Pure Speed(Lv.10 Speed) and the rest as Power would also work. The downside is you'd be making a IG to use only with Adept style.
Many, but not all. But usually it's an armor set made for a specific reason not a weapon. Anyway, I only mentioned it, in the off chance you were one of those that don't like making sets/weapons that only have a specific use.
Considering how lightly armored Gunner armors are, I don't see any reason to use anything other than Adept style for them. The extra window you get for evading can, and probably will save you. As an added bonus for HBG, you can do a Perfect Evade out in siege mode then just drop right back in.
I feel like styles for the Gunlance are geared more towards the Normal shot in Generations. Aerial and Adept styles for sure. Also considering the heat gauge, keeping it at a good spot should be no problem with constant full bursts.
+Austin Hicks Yeah, from what I've seen Aerial and Adept do favor Normal shelling over the other 2, but Long is still alright with the full bursts. For Wide, Guild might be the best; although, Striker might work too, depending on what gets removed from it.
The more I see these videos in this resolution, I can't help but feel disappointed how the 3DS' hardware is holding back Monster Hunter. Thanks for the videos!
+ShadowBlazeroPT I understand that seeing as how the game uses mostly the same assets as M4U, that said, I would really really really like another console-based Monster Hunter game with some connectivity to the 3DS.
+Oakenfell If only the Wii U had a bigger audience in Japan, it would have been possible to see both MH4G/U and MHX(Generations) on a Wii U. But... portable consoles dominate the market in Japan, plus, Nintendo it's doing a great job supporting the series... People keep complaining bout it, but if wasn't for them rescueing Monster Hunter, with MH3/Tri on the Wii... MH was a game destined to be forgotten by Capcom and everyone else.
I know this video is old... but yeah, using this style against a Great Maccao is terrible. It doesn't matter how experienced the person is, but this style is more for monsters with big sweeping attacks. You really have to try and jump into the Great Maccao attacks, to trigger the evade. ^^
Luckily all the mid late game monsters are big enough for the attacks to land. Early game maccao/ raptor enemies throw off players as they have tighter hitboxes
This style should make grinding for parts much easier (along with the new material trading). I can't wait for the UK/NA release. Thanks for making the video!
Otsisossi They have something in the game where you can essentially trade materials for better materials. So, if you grind for hours trying to get a rare monster part you can exchange parts so long as you can give enough to make it equivalent to the rarity of the monster part. Think of it like the trading you did with the sea captain in MH3.
Henny Zhi I have played MHX for 300 hours and at no point have i seen this kind of trading system nor have i seen anyone else do this kind of trading on the streams i watch or on youtube.
Otsisossi Apologies, I remembered the upgrade system incorrectly. You don't trade materials like I thought. You give however many materials that are needed. So it's no longer the case where you need one rare piece off of a monster to upgrade/create weapons/armor.
Henny Zhi yeah thats correct, partially. You still do need specific parts for upgrades (armor upgrades too) you usually use 2 or 3 different kinds of specific monster parts for an upgrade and then in addition to that you need to use a certain amount of monster parts that you can freely choose. And of course if you use rare parts you don't need to use as many as you would use if you chose to give the smithy common parts. You also often need at least one rare part for the final upgrade of the weapons and some armors (for example you need 1 rathalos ruby for each piece of silver rathalos armor if you want to fully upgrade it)
I gots me a question! You said that the second IG counter attack from Perfect Evade does 35 motion value as opposed to the 30 from the counter that sends out the bug. But does that 5 MV difference exceed the damage from a properly leveled bug?
+That random guy But then you wouldn't be able to get extract extender. I'm debating the pros and cons of neglecting stamina altogether, and I think I'm still going to make a balanced kinsect even though I plan to main adept style in MHG because then I'll be able to have some wiggle room while I get used to the complicated homing insect mechanic after the evade and it will also be by far the best choice if I want to ever switch to arial or guild style for whatever reason. Also, my current plan is to use the instant triple buff weapon art for my insect glaive, so if I get extract extender, I'll be able to use that art over and over again whenever I need to, so the issue of not having as much control over the kinsect becomes a nonissue as much as possible(theoretically, I could just grab red and keep hitting the monster until I get the art to activate, use it, keep playing normally with the triple buff until I can use it again, and still have time to spare in between arts because of extract extender). You might have a point about focusing on power or speed and neglecting stamina, but I think balanced gives you more and better options overall and the kinsect doesn't do a lot of damage no matter what.I have 3 inect glaives with the intimate kinsect and maxed stats in MH4U, and the kinsect still does very little damage. I can use it to do damage at a distance if I hit the monster with a homing beacon and keep sending it out from a safe distance, but that won't be possible if you use adept style because the kinsect curves around and follows its own path. Adept is a close range focused style and I don't think it's wise to rely on the kinsect for anything but extracts at this point. I don't have MHX/G, so I might be wrong, but it just doesn't seem like a good idea.
Adept/Bushido Bow might get me to use the weapon a little more! Since that style gives you the evasion Lvl 3 shot, it basically negates the for Evasion +1/+2, meaning I don't have to feel so picky about what armor set I use! (Although that just might be a me problem. I always feel the need to get as much Evasion + as I can on a Bow set.)
+Austin Grider (ArondightBerserker) It's only good if you really know the monster. Though I do kinda wish they added in a damage penalty so if you don't evade you take more damage than normal. Seem like a fair trade off.
Considering how hard monsters hit later on in the game, to the point that it's always been "don't rely on your defense, learn to dodge", I don't think that's much of a concern. Most players will try to avoid an attack rather than perfect dodge it, its only popular videos of really great players that completely focus on perfect dodging/blocking, but I have yet to actually group with someone who can essentially solo something flawlessly, because there's no need for them to group up with random guys.
I just finally got a 3ds so finally i can play gen and 4U so i've literally only been using the charge blade and insect glaive since there the new weapons i havent been able to use up to this point.
Since in MH4U I've had enough time to use right all weapons now I don't know what to use for Generations because there's so much cool stuff to fight with.
I need to make a list anyway for myself, but here are my weapons: GS: Aerial/Bushido LS: Bushido DB: Aerial/Bushido H: Aerial/Bushido CB: Bushido IG:Aerial
I found an awesome combo for bushido bow, after you fire your bushido charge, do the 2 back hops for the auto 3 charge agean, its an awesome, fast and powerful combo
+Theelementofpizza Check our ArekksGaming for that. He's done them all already. I'm sure Gaijin-san will do it but he does have a full time job as well.
hey gajin , first of all , as always great video ! I always watch all ur videos nice job. i gotba question for you , since all weapons can now jump , are support IG still the best supports? i mean , was thinking about HH supports will be vack on the game since the buffs are great , its easier to stun the wyvern than impact IG but paralysis/sleep will be harder to proc , what about ur thinkin? :) thanks and keep goin your great vids :D
I have 3u and 4u, and my first was monster hunter freedom, but the game I have the most hours in is MHFU. I have over 1500 hours (maybe even more). All the big monsters in that game are cake for me in mhfu, 3u, and 4u. I think this might be my main style xD especially for the great sword and the hammer. I'm so hype for MHGen!
Has there ever been a consensus on the exact number of frames / seconds that the adept window lasts? I hear people typically saying somewhere between evasion 2 and 3, but I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been an exact number given like there is with evasion for instance.
quick question. i know in light bowgun itll increase power when given a power reload but... what would it do for healing bullets and demon/armor s? what about for poision and such?
My god, I was meant to play another weapon after 300h of bow, but daum it looks strong in here. Are more people playing it now because of the buff because not many bow users on 4U
Nobody has really covered how to activate the Adept/Bushido evade. Does it replace the normal evade by pressing the B button or do you activate the Adept/Bushido evade by a special button on the second screen? Can you use the A/B evade infinitely or does a gauge need to fill up?
the bushido evade is activated when ever you roll through any hitbox with your regulat old roll. so you just press b when a monster attacks and the bushido activates by itself as long as you didnt screw up your timing
My gripe with this style has never been that it would be an instant-win button even for beginners. It's the fact that as you said, the window for the perfect evade is so lenient, it makes no-damage fights appear much more feasible without any investment in Evasion skills or whatsoever. But I guess it wasn't that fair that the hurdle to reach that kind of mastery of the game's mechanics was so ridiculously high in earlier games in the first place...
KingAether gaming I dunno. Could have very well been me as well. I kept it ever since I put it there a few months after Pokémon Conquest's release. Nevertheless, I hope you're always getting your healthy daily dosage of naps!
bushido style and absolute evade art does lower the difficulty for non-pro players to be able to enjoy the hunt, which should be a nice thing. But Bushido wasn't always the most fun style, nor was it always the strongest in terms of hunting efficiency. It grants you easy maneuver for a fixed action and some lost in action freedom, but the power of new arts, the sometimes better moveset, the thrill of beating I-frames with skills makes other style fun and equally powerful in different ways.
Savien As I said, it always was merely a minor gripe. Nothing to overreact about and make me decide to not buy the game. I'm gonna buy this game when it comes out and enjoy it as much as I can, despite the fact that I'm worried. (There's a Fire Emblem joke to be made, but that's definitely one many people would rather see censored)
+gaijin hunter I noticed that was one of the big graphical updates to this game. It's like going from Super Smash bros. Brawl to Smash 4, it has so many little graphical effects that really make everything so crisp and nice to look at.
+Leapordgaming In my opinion, it's way too much. MHGen is capped at 30 fps and this is partly the reason why. The effects are so big you can hardly see your own hunter and your attacks. They should have toned it down.
I have liked the other MH games, but I LOVE Dark Souls. The Adept style feels like the i frame dodge rolling from DS and MH immediately feels 100x more fun to play.
adept evade attack for LS raises the spirit gauge?! damn, its like a built in Sakura slash. and for how often you evade with LS, thats pretty nuts 0.o do the jump attacks for SnS do mounting damage?
the falgship armors arent very good. dinovaldo/glavenus armor is a ok transition set in mid hr before you can get your hands on the late game sets but after that it becomes useless
+KingAether gaming not really that great. you will always be more effective with certain mixed sets. gamuto set gives skills that are good in some situations but they are useless most of the time and you still get the most out of it if its mixed with some other parts
For the Adept Switch Axe (Sword Mode) can you still switch back to axe mode after an A button attack? Also, do they show how many times a hunter uses a hunting style with each weapon on the guild cards? (My goal would be to use every weapon and hunting style an equal amount of times) Just Just because the idea of a weapon you pick changing the way you play drastically appeals to me. I want to use every weapon and play every style just because it's there and available.
Yes, you still can morph back to axe mode after the A button slice. After the counter double upward slice, you can press R to morph back to axe mode & perform overhead chop.
You can already block Zinogres attacks (dunno about the red balls of lightning in apex) though you need guard up for Gravios gas/beams, Rajang beams etc
Personally i think the english name makes more sense bushido is a moral code for samurai so what does that have to do with countering. Adept means being good at something and you have to be good at the game to make the best out of this style
Bubba Will Get U i was trying to say that adept can be applied to every style because you need to be skillful to hunt efficiently. But then, hey, it's Capcom.
Bushido does sound cool as fuck, but i'm just tired of hearing people complain about EVERYTHING that's localized because apparently Japanese=better in every way.
+Ben Smith It's one weapon art. It has to charge up like all the others and doesn't do nearly as much damage as other offensive arts, however, that's pretty much it. I'm really happy they included this because now that they've simplified the Insect Glaive upgrade process, I feel like I'll be able to jump right into the game and use my favorite weapon instantly without waiting for g rank to get my Kinsect to move faster than a slug and my weapon to be at the level the rest of my items are at. I can't wait for MHG and I'm in love with adept/bushido style, and I'm really happy they included this art(and, as I just found out, the "homing in on essences you don't have mechanic" for the evade) because otherwise I don't think I'd be able to do very will with insect glaives outside of arial or guild style(and as much as I love insect glaives, I don't want to do the same thing with guild style that I've been doing for months in MH4U if I have other options as awesome as these). I think the instant triple buff art is a great fallback for while I learn how to use adept style and I'm happy they included it.
the only con is that it takes one hunter art slot so it might prevent you from having some other useful arts. also it takes a pretty long time to use the art so you are pretty vulnerable when doing it and if you get knocked back or if you miss with the bug you dont get the boost and the art needs to charge again
Ben Smith there's the one that summons a thunderbug to hover arounf you and whenever you are close to a monster the bug wil consistently damage the monster. The final hunter art for IG is a move where you jump in the air and do a pretty powerful attack where the hunter smashes the ig to the ground. Also if you have the thunderbug while you do the jumping attack hunter art you will gain a massive boost to the motion value of the move
There's a thing i'm a little confuse about: Can you change your style during a quest? Because i've seen some vids where hunters use for the exemple, aerial attacks and then, in the same quest, use adept evade. Maybe it's a skill or something but I'm just curious about it.
I need to make sure to stay away from Bushido Bow for as long as I can, cause once I use it... there's gonna be no going back.
+Laharl Krichevskoy oh im going for it, been wanted to play bow forever
+Laharl Krichevskoy actually in my opinion guild is just as good or better than bushido bow because you have can do a power shot and arc shot, with 2 hunting arts.
+Ryokoshii Demo is out today here in Germany. And you're right. I'm gonna main bow.
I'm going bushido LS. It's so strong, no going back
+NuSensaysonVideos 2 words.... Adept. GS. XD.
Adept sounds like the most hardcore of the styles for its risks but when you think about it, you HAVE to dodge, it's a given, this only rewards you more for it.
+420Praiseit Git gud Yup, I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't think I'm gonna use any other style lol
BRUH adept is pretty easy to use ,
GS is really fun with adept, one of the sole reasons being, if a monster has an attack where it continues moving fowards even after it has passed the player, GS users are able to run up and absolutely slap the monster with it, instead of just sheathing and unsheathing after every distancing attack. examples of this are diablos' charge and Great maccaos' jumping attack. Adept and valor made me suck at the game. I got so used to being able to position myself anywhere and counter any move that when I went back to striker sns I got demolished
It's very overpowered tho. It makes earplugs essentially useless.
This game will make me never sleep ever again...I will play too god damn much!
ikr
+Milenos without g rank I don't think you will have as much to do as with 4U I'm waiting for generations ultimate before buying for that reason (if It ever comes out)
+Reptiler last game of fourth generation so no remake and already has more than 4u anyway
Duelboy123 more what? and what makes you think where won't be an ultimate or gaiden edition?
+Reptiler its been confirmed by capcom of no remake and it has more quests and gear than 4u sorry for being unclear
Those perfect guards are gonna come naturally to dark souls veterans I bet. Don't expect an instant kill riposte to follow though.
Lol parry fishing for that backstab
+mushroom310 think of all the practice for dodging from dark souls shieldless runs
+ChaseSP1 or Bloodbornes dodging mechanic, which I prefer to turtling behind a shield xD
From what I've seen it'll probably be a hassle learning how to adept dodge dino- Glavenus's tailswings, since he has that one attack where he charges it for a long time before lashing out, it'll be like trying to dodge those hollows that wait 10 seconds before actually swinging.
+mushroom310 God Glavenus' tail swing is so fucking cool.
The combat of the MH series just keeps getting better and better!
Yep.
Thank you for Adept Style, Capcom. Now I can finally use my beloved bows in singleplayer with great success.
ChryI dude the bow is soooo gooooood in MHGU! It feels so much stronger then 4 ultimate!
Man, you are so good at timing. I myself, is still struggling at evading maccao's attack 😭😭😭
almost 100k subscribers gaijin...almost.
keep up the good work.
Thanks!
+gaijin hunter Hey GH, I know you've probably answered this at some point, but how do you manage to record your 3DS gameplay videos? The only options I've seen have been fairly expensive.
+Bearded Narwhal It's just one of those things that you gotta fork over the cash for.
This got me so excited for this game.
I know man, this style looks so fun.
THIS. IS. OVERPOWERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(as long as you know the timing)
No nargacugas were hurt in the making of this video....
this style might actually get me to use the bowguns more
+Mr.Red I'll probably just use the first 3 hours of the game using bushido bowgun, just running around after an evade. It looks seriously cool for some reason.
+Erik Roaldsnes (Headsett) Nah man, if I were gonna use bowguns, i'd do sick flips and shit and shoot from above.
+Bravelord Speedo Yea that flip made me as a LBG user get extremely hard.
Thanks for all the support getting mhx to the west!
I can already see how everyone is going to main bow...
With such an insanely powerful adept style I can see that the temptation is going to be real.
All the adept style gunner weapons are awesome. Now you can focus more on attack skills with lbg and hbg. Those weapons are gonna wreck.
I love adept charge blade, until i met Zinogre with his 3x charged groundslam.
Zinogre use Initial Headbutt!
Hunter use Insta-Evade!
Hunter: Ha! You missed!
Zinogre use first Groundslam!
Hunter in invincible mode!
Hunter: Ha! Still missed!
Zinogre use second Groundslam!
Hunter still in invincible mode!
Hunter: Ha! Jokes on you!
Zinogre use third Groundslam!
Zinogre: Tehee~! Got you~!
Hunter fainted.
._.
Same here. That was annoying. I learned to adept evade on the last swing just like Redhelm Arzuros.
I'm so used to adept dual blades. Once I switched to aerial, I felt I couldn't evade for shit.
I have memories of performing aerial vaults from Glavenous' tail whilst it swings. Makes you feel awesome
Perfect for any dark souls player. We perfect dodge all the time.
+FurthestBen i guess for bayonetta players to
you need the witchtime
wally castagnir witchtime is fudging OP
FurthestBen
not exactly only in smash bros
in the bayonetta games its often neccesary (hopefully right spelled) tobeat it on the infinitive climax
+FurthestBen dude, just role through it
+FurthestBen Yeah, but Dark Souls also has a MUCH larger window of I-frames than Monster Hunter. Bushido /might/ bring it up a bit, but if it's still not as much as evade 3, (which is just a little bit less than the number of frames in DS) you'll still have to have timing.

So looking forward to adept style longsword. Longsword was my first back in 3U on the WiiU.
Long Sword Masterrace since MHFU
+The Staer Long sword bois
It was my first favourite weapon in mhfu.
Lol I tried it today, didn't like it that much (I will still try it against Nargacuga, maybe more fun with that)
This is my favorite style. The ability to dodge into anything and then unleash a big attack is so awesome :)
Bow looks so nice with adept style but I will be to occupied to play my favourite weapon the Hunting horn so HYPE!!!
It's so sick that the LS got that move back in Rise with the one switch skill
This. Adept style is what will make going ranged acceptable in single-player.
Technic 12 I did that in MH4U.
I'm really looking forward to it. After learning how to avoid through attacks I've been stuck on using evade +1 with DB and adept looks like it'll fit my play style perfectly without requiring evade skill.
I'm going to enjoy Adept Style specially with hammer
I always look for your videos in my feed.. Seeing one is like Christmas all over again!!! 😁
Merry Christmas 🎅🎁⛄
And when the game releases, hunters all over the world will gather for yet again, another great feast! Can't wait to see you all in the hall again!
Wondering if a pure power/damaging kinsect would be nice for Adept Insect Glaive, since you are basically doing a combo attack with your bug pretty often.
Finally, a reason to make a damage-based kinsect!
Arhen Dante And that's a bad thing why? Many hunters make equipment for specific things
Many, but not all. But usually it's an armor set made for a specific reason not a weapon. Anyway, I only mentioned it, in the off chance you were one of those that don't like making sets/weapons that only have a specific use.
Arhen Dante I make and use everything, no worries ;p
I love your channel! thanks for uploading so many videos! My favourite UA-cam channel ;)
Busido Charge Blade is my favourite weapon in MHX. Can't wait to use it again in MHG
I was using valor to train myself with timing, then I started using adept and is crazy how better and natural it feels
Man WTF, im so hyped for this. All the styles make every weapon seem fun as hell!
Oooh loving how the hammer's looking! Consider me hyped, my friend!
Gaijin you forgot to mention that the perfect evade from the dual blades, if the demon gauge blinks, also refills it a bit
Blinking demon gauge is called Archdemon Mode, but yes he forgot to mention it, though it shows in the video.
thank you for all your efforts. making all this videos :)

I'm really thinking about the bow+adept can't wait for the game to be released.

Well, considering that you ARE close range because you're using adept style, you are going to be dodging a lot. Just saying :P
I'm so happy adept guarding is back in Rise!!
Adept style with hammer looks pretty fun!
Bushido bug stick hype
#ForokururuForTheWest
not sure if you mentioned this, but for weapons that have the running animation after an adept evade, you can use items to cancel the run
I figured this out using adept SnS
Thats only for sns though, even when when put away, none of the weapons except sns
+Mike Ftzlgard yeah, my bad, but it does work for unsheathed as well if my memory doesn't betray me. been a while since I've used adept sns
My only hope is that the Bushido Style doesn't trivialize the game. Like it better be difficult so the pay off is even.
Kitsune
Since when did comments have an expiry date?
whoa what did they do to the gunlance looks wayy differnt im gonna have to give her a go again
I just finally got a 3ds so finally i can play gen and 4U so i've literally only been using the charge blade and insect glaive since there the new weapons i havent been able to use up to this point.
I feel like I'm gonna like this style XD
cause I always over-analyze monster movement animations
Since in MH4U I've had enough time to use right all weapons now I don't know what to use for Generations because there's so much cool stuff to fight with.
I need to make a list anyway for myself, but here are my weapons:
GS: Aerial/Bushido
LS: Bushido
DB: Aerial/Bushido
H: Aerial/Bushido
CB: Bushido
IG:Aerial
Thanks for the informative video, a great heads up and tips for Generation.
adept bow ftw
I found an awesome combo for bushido bow, after you fire your bushido charge, do the 2 back hops for the auto 3 charge agean, its an awesome, fast and powerful combo
But adept has no backhops for ranged weapons
In this I think you could show how to evade through attacks. I tried this before and of sheer luck I did a insta move
also Adam! are you gonna make a video showcasing all the hunter arts? I bet alot of people would love to see that
+Theelementofpizza Check our ArekksGaming for that. He's done them all already. I'm sure Gaijin-san will do it but he does have a full time job as well.
+RavenXtreme Arekkz only showed 2 Hunter Arts for each weapon, the ones available in the Demo.
Jordan William Have you been watching his Weapon Workshop videos? He's posted 3 arts for every weapon (as just previously checked).
+RavenXtreme As I can remember, like Gaijin, he did show the 3rd Art on the weapon workshop episode for each weapon.
I can't wait for this :D Can you Do the GS Weapon Tut next?
wow... can i predict much? lol
love if you could have explained more on the style and details other then combos
I didn't use the hammer a lot until this style came
hey gajin , first of all , as always great video !
I'm so hype for MHGen!
it looked like you launched nargacuga with the insect glaive
Gaijin-san this Adept is the Bushido style, right?...
+Vipera217 yes
+AvatarRoku Bushido sounds awesome than adept D: why they do this
i agree but bushido is a very japanese thing. I suppose they wanted to make it more western??
+AvatarRoku who is they? Capcom? it hasnt been localized yet
Um, what? Capcom localized Bushido as Adept...
I see, I see. I was just playing the demo on Adept Great Sword and I didn't really understand on how exactly it worked.
Thanks for the info!
Has there ever been a consensus on the exact number of frames / seconds that the adept window lasts? I hear people typically saying somewhere between evasion 2 and 3, but I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been an exact number given like there is with evasion for instance.
diablowal It's like evade + 2.5
quick question. i know in light bowgun itll increase power when given a power reload but... what would it do for healing bullets and demon/armor s? what about for poision and such?
Is this Mh I am seeing? Seems they took a huge leap in terms of gameplay. looks incredible. Reminds me of bayonetta
My god, I was meant to play another weapon after 300h of bow, but daum it looks strong in here. Are more people playing it now because of the buff because not many bow users on 4U
the bow is much more popular in mhx/mhg
Nobody has really covered how to activate the Adept/Bushido evade. Does it replace the normal evade by pressing the B button or do you activate the Adept/Bushido evade by a special button on the second screen? Can you use the A/B evade infinitely or does a gauge need to fill up?
the bushido evade is activated when ever you roll through any hitbox with your regulat old roll. so you just press b when a monster attacks and the bushido activates by itself as long as you didnt screw up your timing
Awesome! Thank for the reply!
Dat moment you play Guild style with Bow for 30+ hours and then switch to Adept style. Never going back.
My gripe with this style has never been that it would be an instant-win button even for beginners. It's the fact that as you said, the window for the perfect evade is so lenient, it makes no-damage fights appear much more feasible without any investment in Evasion skills or whatsoever.
But I guess it wasn't that fair that the hurdle to reach that kind of mastery of the game's mechanics was so ridiculously high in earlier games in the first place...
when was the last time i saw someone with a hanbei icon
KingAether gaming I dunno. Could have very well been me as well. I kept it ever since I put it there a few months after Pokémon Conquest's release.
Nevertheless, I hope you're always getting your healthy daily dosage of naps!
+Seeker of All Formulas haha, same to you!
bushido style and absolute evade art does lower the difficulty for non-pro players to be able to enjoy the hunt, which should be a nice thing.
I just don’t get how they made all of these so good except IG
Is it just me or do the attacks have more "humph" to them? They look like they are meatier, I don't know.
Yes they redid the animations and effects and the hit feel is great
+gaijin hunter I noticed that was one of the big graphical updates to this game.
+animehbkscm Yea they are a lot more fluid :D.
+Adeel Ahmed In most monster hunters you can turn down the effects.
That attack at 7:36 was some of the tightest shit i've seen
It's a Hunter Art, called "Extract Hunter".
Super useful for any occasion when using IG.
My favourite IG HA actually xD
Have to be careful with the bow though, have been lured into doing a 3charge when I shouldn't have more than once.
*Evasion Intensifies*
I'm so hyped for MHX and LS and CB bushido and lBG aerial
I picking up a bow. looks fun as hell.
I have liked the other MH games, but I LOVE Dark Souls. The Adept style feels like the i frame dodge rolling from DS and MH immediately feels 100x more fun to play.
adept evade attack for LS raises the spirit gauge?! damn, its like a built in Sakura slash. and for how often you evade with LS, thats pretty nuts 0.o
do the jump attacks for SnS do mounting damage?
Aaah,Bushido,my favorite style....recently started Bushido Lance and Bow and I'm already addicted....guard is a bit harder than evade tho'
I cannot wait for more Bow play
What's that mixed armor set you have for the Teostra Charge blade? Really want to try it out...
I'm seeing Glavenus, Hermitaur and Shagaru parts...
Gajin are you going to cover mhx mixed sets? I know you did 1 for the yaun garuga variant, but I want to see how good the flagship armor can be.
the falgship armors arent very good. dinovaldo/glavenus armor is a ok transition set in mid hr before you can get your hands on the late game sets but after that it becomes useless
+Otsisossi thats good to know, but im sure there are some good skills on at least one of them
+KingAether gaming not really that great. you will always be more effective with certain mixed sets. gamuto set gives skills that are good in some situations but they are useless most of the time and you still get the most out of it if its mixed with some other parts
+Otsisossi thats what im talking about. I understand they will mostly be usless, but its those little thing that can really help during a hunt.
+Otsisossi Glavenus's Deviant armor is a very good set. But like all Deviant armors, is not recommended to be used as mixed sets.
+gaijin hunter Can you tell me what armor set you're using with the DB in this video? I've seen you use it a lot in your MHX videos. Thanks!
will you do a showcase specific for the nyanta? ; )
+Chenm Bitter well i mean its prowler for america but nyanta is better XD
See my tutorial playlist I have a full tutorial up already
gaijin hunter alright thanks! : D
I want to use every weapon and play every style just because it's there and available.
the guild card doesnt keep track of the arts/styles you use
Yes, you still can morph back to axe mode after the A button slice. After the counter double upward slice, you can press R to morph back to axe mode & perform overhead chop.
Im so hyped for MHX
Question (and I paused early so you may cover it later in the video) does GP count as a guard for Bushido style? Can I get the special counter attack?
q.q I don't think I'll actually use it because my GP's don't count. Maybe for a different weapon class
+zach suedmeyer CB's GP won't count as Perfect Guard, only the R button Guard.
Yeah, I acknowledged that in the reply to my post but thanks!
Wow, so you can dodge Khezu or Diablos' roar now?
so you say that adept blacking with the lance/gl blocks anything. Does this include elemental attacks? (zinogre discharge, gravios gasses, etc.)
You can already block Zinogres attacks (dunno about the red balls of lightning in apex) though you need guard up for Gravios gas/beams, Rajang beams etc
No need for guard +1/2
+DeadCore No Apex Monsters, Gravios is absent.
Jordan William I know
well that still saves me some skill space, no need for guard +1/2 thanks for the info
Any idea what is the mix set that was used in the adept charge blade footage?
So you can only do the perfect guard when in charge blade sword and shield mode and not the perfect dodge as well?
Personally i think the english name makes more sense bushido is a moral code for samurai so what does that have to do with countering. Adept means being good at something and you have to be good at the game to make the best out of this style
+SubKoopa
But you have to be adept at a style to efficiently use said style, so i don't think it fit that well.
+Bubba Will Get U The grass is always greener on the other side I suppose.
+Bravelord Speedo Amen.
When I evade with the hammer it just gives me a very small dash, and then a weak attack. It doesn't charge for me
You gotta hold R when the adept evade animation ends to go into the strong charge, then you can move around while charging just like the normal charge
This is sad for me because i kept trying to evade in sword mode using chargeblade
I Wonder if Adept Pierce Bows are viable.
So gaijinhunter, what is your top 5 Adept/Bushido style?
are there any cons on that all essences in 1 for the I.G.? because if there isn't, that sounds bloody great 😃
+Ben Smith It's one weapon art.
+Otsisossi ah, ok. what are the other I.G. arts
There's a thing i'm a little confuse about:
Can you change your style during a quest? Because i've seen some vids where hunters use for the exemple, aerial attacks and then, in the same quest, use adept evade. Maybe it's a skill or something but I'm just curious about it.
Theirs a skill called absolute evade, it is a evade in a way. You can't change styles mid quest. That would be to OP
Yeah it's a hunter art that needs to be charged to use it.
