Don't apologize for making long the video so long. It was in depth and informative, and it really cleared up a lot of questions I had about the weapon.
Note: Even though it's advised not to use Yellow Charge, you can still use the Shield thrust to add additional seconds to Red Charge. Any remaining seconds in Yellow will get transferred to Red when changing states.
I picked up Gen on the 3DS and could never get into it. Finally, after World and Rise I picked up Gen Ultimate for switch and I came right back here even 6 years later and got schooled and got solid advice. Thanks a million!
Bushi all the way. Dicking around in the demo, perfect guard makes you potentially indestructible and allows for some pretty brutal counters. I was skeptical about not being able to shift into charged shield with the shield jab combo like you can in the others, but you easily get over it considering how easy it is to survive in axe mode, now.
Arekkz, you are the man! Thanks for all the hard work you put in these videos. These MHX weapon tutorials are so well thought out and I love how methodical you are in showcasing them.
It should be noted that if you already have red shield charge, the sword mode shortcut to charge your shield will prolong the red, not change it to yellow
I'm new to the charge blade. I've always been a light bow user, but ever since I tried charge blade, I've been in love with it. Thank you for the informative tutorial, by the way.
HOLY CRAP. I didn't know this many things about the charge blade...I've had MHG with the CB for a year and a half and all I knew about was sword and shield, axe, and swinging it around and slamming it does a shock lol
I'm usually an Insect Glaive main (because I love mounting), but recently I had the idea to use Charge Blade with Aerial style as a substitute, and at the same time, wanted to try using the Healing Phial. This video was very helpful and has given me a lot to think about. Thanks!
I heard everywhere that CB was murdered in this game, it has been nurfed but in a more balancing way (unlike Greninja) and I look forward to Striker Charge Blade
I've been waiting for this one! I knew bushido CB was one that I wanted to use but now a visual video explaining and showing all the moves makes my decision on a main weapon so much easier! Will wait to see the potential of DB though. But thanks Arrekz for all the hard work in your videos, the well in depth explanations, and great visual graphic work you do to make your videos interesting, and colorful are what keep me subscribed!
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm playing generations right now and trying to learn the charge blade and it's been difficult but with this I have a better understanding and hope to master it. Also I think Bushido is the best style as well. It's quite broken actually. Please keep up the amazing work. I watch all of your MH videos and it's been so amazing learning and understanding MH. Lastly, just so you know you were the one that got me back into MH so if no one else says it I appreciate everything your doing for us. 😁👌🏾👍🏾
Something I never see UA-camrs cover on the CB is that during a jump, you can press R to transform your weapon from SnS mode to Axe, and vice versa. It makes an already versatile weapon even more so. EDIT: Until Arekkz.
Great job on the video, loved it, thank you so much. I have been very frustrated with not being able to block as much as I like while maintaining damage. I stopped playing altogether. I plan to dominate with Bushido Charge Blade. You are the best! Many blessings to you, sir!
You can also block attacks with the Overcharge Art because it gives you a free guard point but you will take damage if the attack can knock you back and it cancels the skill. Just for those who do not know.
Its takes a bit of time to learn the weapon, I would advise to watch gaijin hunters tutorial on the weapon, he goes into detail about EVERY corner of the weapon.
Thanks guys. I soldiered on..and practiced the CB whilst watching this and slowly digested it over a few days... Now I can quite safely say I love the Charge Blade :D Thanks for the vid it really helped!
i was playing the demo first time. and i shocked due to the different combo and control for cb. i thought my favorite weapon is already gone till i watched this video. Thanks arekk! bushido ftw!
Bushido/Adept Charge Blade is soooo much fun. Still working on mastering it, but damn... evading attacks with that super dodge and following it up with a burst attack in axe mode feels awesome.
this and insect glaive have allways been my favourite even though they don't do loads of damage you can rack up loads of serious combos so it matches up with loads of damage
So, after watching this, it seems there will probably be two common setups The Striker would most likely be used as the powerhouse healer. Otherwise it would be the powerhouse for single player use. I say this because of the level 3 healing capabilities. If your team is in need of healing, you can activate that after the overlimit. Hopefully you;d also have a red shield. That seems like a wonderful thing for team plays, the downside of it seems to be quite inconsequential as it also makes you focus on getting red sheild, increasing both the power for energy blade, and the heal for the healing. Bushido might be great for single player play, coupled with energy blade, being able to shortcut away through red sheild, and also to be able to bushido gaurd and dodge will alow for people to avoid taking damage, so having heal would not be needed, since you can only have 1 art, the energy blade seems to be the best option. This is only of course if you can get it fast and constantly, if Ultra Burst with Overlimit is much faster and easier to use coupled with it being stronger, then perhaps that's a better way to go. I personally might go with Striker style for online play, and if my team plays pretty damn well, ill go bushido so I can focus on doing damage and not taking any. This is also of course if there isn't already any charge blade users.
Excellent video. I was hoping you'd do charge blade next. I've been using bushido charge blade as my main and I'm loving it. The additional guard point with the A charge attack is ridiculously good. Bushido CB is also one of the few bushido styles that can still make use of Evasion+ skills (while in sword mode) if you're into using those. Here's to hoping that you do Bow or Gunlance next week!
I am so glad they've made the charge blade/ax more about using sword mode to charge the ax because that was how I used it in 4U. I won't be expecting much gameplay change except getting red charge coming from ax mode instead of sword and shield. All around I think I might still main with charge blade in end game, but after playing the entirety of 4U with CB I think I'll hold off on using it for a while.
+Bowen Konkel i would like to learn to use axe mode more, in 4u i spamed shield poke and ultra burst or whatever the charged shield one is called. and i never used the shortcut because i like the axe charge better
I'm watching this for preparation for iceborne, the video from Capcom said we'll be getting new moves too. So I kinda know what to expect in new moves.
I'm a huge fan of charge blades, it was my main weapon in 4 ultimate and I can't wait to see it in xx switch version~ especially that finished with the giant sword of light XD
I could see striker CB being a a really viable support play style, with the over limit+healing bottle combo and that one healing fountain art, kinda makes me wanna go try that out when I get the game. (Also really looking forward to the GL tutorial)
The nerfs just made it so that 1) people who could guard point didn't just guard point everything then go into a ultra\super Burst, and 2) the Overlimit hunter art didn't make the Ultra Burst insanely more OP
My first monster hunter game was Generations, and I was late to the party, so I didn’t even know you could charge a shield to red! I’ve been completing solo missions with yellow charge this whole time. Now when I finally go online I’ll at least look like someone who knows what they’re doing...
The charge blade was super versatile in mhfu which pretty much made it op thats why i loved charge blade guess i have to stick with great sword and hunting horn
With the exception of the Ultra Burst getting nerfed into oblivion, I actually like all of the changes made to the charge blade(axe) in MH gen. It makes the weapon even more versatile, especial if you use bushido (adept) style.
I'm new to the series and I'm waiting for the switch release. I hope this video will be still viable. Thx for doing good work. Oh and what is the weapon and armor set?
Great video bro. I enjoy watching all your Monster Hunter Videos and charge blade was my introduction to Monster hunter in 4U. Are you using a mixed set? Or a full set of a armor from a monster? If so what monster is that if I can ask.
Guard pointing Diablos in 4U was very fun and easy practice. Now, relearning guard points is going to be tough since there's little feedback unless the attack has large knockback.
+Jub Orb Seeing as the guard point itself just allows you to plow through attacks and continue your morph animation, the feedback will be you not getting hurt at all :P
+Bryanneo1 Well, unless you get invincibility frames after the guard point, you're vulnerable to attacks with long animations or monsters with long bodies, greatly reducing their utility and you should just either evade if in a combo or block if not.
Ok, so I've been playing for about a week now, and haven't gotten very far, so my weapons are are pretty low tier at the moment. I've noticed that on all my charge blades, when I press R to guard, my character does a stupid animation at the start that takes a good second or so before the guard actually begins. I've seen countless of your videos on the weapon and never seen this happen whenever you use it. Is this animation a result of lower tier weapons, or is there a skill I need in order to get my guard up faster? I love the weapon, but adept style is worthless if you can't get perfect guards off.
Hmm, hunting art synergies for the awesome powers, or OP bushido with the closest thing to transferring energy to shield as red shield from sword and shield... Hard choice.
I use Adept for Elemental CBs for Max Elemental/Status with the Shield Thrust (Too good to pass on this) with Limit Breaker as a Hunter Art, and Striker for Impact CBs for Maximum Dunking Potential.
1) I notice that when you said that Striker axe mode had bonus attack damage, you said "whilst charged". Does this mean, with a red or yellow shield, with phials, or what? 2) Do you know if the Auto-Guard skill activates the Bushido/Adept Guard? 3) Do you know if an Ultra Burst with more time left on the shield does more damage than one with less time?
It's actually better to not charge your shield at all with aerial style and stick to spamming supers. Sure, you can land quick ultras, but they aren't much powerful than grounded ultras and you'd have to charge your shield and phials again to perform another one.
+Arekkz Gaming hi Arekkz , Could you tell me what set you are using in the video ? i recognize deviant tetsu chest and waist but what are the other parts ? and is it juste a fancy set or actual good set for CB ? thanks for your answer ! Great job btw love your videos ! =)
"The changes to the charge blade really encourage axe use" >In order to get red shield, you have to go into axe mode, initiate burst, then hit R, which goes back into SnS mode instead of staying in axe. >red shield now lasts 3 minutes, blocking does not reduce your sharpness, and blocking normally does the mini burst which was restricted to GP (which was one of the rewards for using GP properly). They made SnS mode stronger. Though they nerfed GP to the point of uselessness. There's no longer a reward for using it. I'll still be using it in Bushido, but taking away the charged shield shortcut and the rewards for using GP (mini bursts as well as going into super or ultra from a GP) for all the styles, is a bit much. Now it feels less like one weapon with two forms that flow into each other, and more like two separate weapons. The way I used in MH4U was stay in SnS mode, charge up, and unleash bursts during huge openings or after parrying. The charged shield depletes quickly so you were forced to either keep charging or to find an opening to use it with. Personally, I don't think they did anything to encourage you to use axe mode more. They made me want to use SnS mode more. I'm ok with other nerfs, like the no shockwaves for ultra. 'Cause it needed nerfing. But a lot of changes are pointless.
I see what you mean by these changes. As a Charge Blade user from the very start of MH4U (I'm not saying it as a badge of honour or anything), I used the Charge Blade much like you use it; using SnS to charge and switching to Axe to dish out damage. The GPs do feel less rewarding in MHGen as you just plough through moves instead of just being able to parry moves and countering. I guess that change was made for two reasons: 1) It gives Bushido style more of a use as the whole point of Bushido is countering your opponent. Due to GPs basically being a countering mechanism, it would have made Bushido style less relevant. 2) They wanted people to stop spamming on GP -> Super/Ultra Burst. They could have easily removed it as a mechanic instead of changing GPs altogether. Seeing how Charge Blade was changed in MHGen has actually made me use Axe mode even more; going from Phial Charge -> Burst 1, using the Ultra Burst only towards the end of the hunt or waking up. The buffs that SnS got were probably down to the changed GP mechanic but I don't believe the GP mechanic is useless. Changed yes, but not useless, as I'm sure they'll be some way that we Charge Blade users can find to make it useful. All in all, the nerfs overall aren't all that bad in my opinion, even though Burst 2 has literally been cut in half in terms of power, but this is most likely due to it being Bushido styles evade attack and the Ultra Burst has literally been cut more than half, making it just a bit stronger than Burst 3, with the added loss of all your phials and your shield charge. This is all just physical moves as the Phial damage hasn't been mentioned yet, so we may see some minor buffs there, who knows.
Ravemaster620 I think I would be more forgiving if the GPs actually did something in Bushido. I used to use them a hell of a lot, because they were rewarding, not just because of the super/ultra burst, but because of the mini-burst that came when the shield was hit. I agree that they could have removed ultra/super from GP (or instead, just give you a quick or weaker super burst) instead of taking away all the reward. Now they're kind of useless and I'm a bit sad because they were one of my favourite CB mechanics. It's largely replaced by normal red shield blocking and bushidp, but it's not exactly the same. I think one of my biggest gripes was taking away the ability to red charge your shield from the shortcut (the shieldthrust). I don't mind the removal of super/ultra from shieldthrust, I never used it. It gripes me because I see it as mostly pointless, and made slightly annoying to play. From SnS mode, you go into axe mode, then red charge your shield, and you're back in SnS mode again. It's a huge middleman that isn't needed. In fact, this is one of my main reasons to go bushido. So I won't accidentally yellow charge my shield (because doing that was so fluid in MH4. You could do it in the middle of a sword combo) and so that there's a way to charge my shield while in SnS mode. A few other nerfs I expected (shieldthrust > super/ultra, removal of shockwave from ultra/lower power of ultra, etc) But some of the buffs and changes were pointless. Red charged shield is now (IMO) OP. It lasts so long and doesn't lower your sharpness, and blocking does KO/Elemental damage. You might as well stay in SnS for far longer than when you're in axe mode. Yellow charged shield is so useless it shouldn't be a thing. I'm still very excited in the end. I'll be playing bushido CB. But I may be giving my old love, the Longsword, some more love, because that didn't suffer a lot. It was buffed, mostly.
+Etherwinter Yeah, I'm with you about the whole middle man thing with the shield charging and the yellow shield charge being only useful for an Ultra (although with how much it was nerfed, it's almost not a viable option in terms of overall damage/DPS anymore). The bursts from red seem like more of an incentive to be in SnS, I agree. I just hope the red shield retains its 20% damage increase across the board for axe mode. Also, speaking of Longsword, in terms of motion values (basically how powerful its individual moves are), it got nerfed on every move if I recall correctly, but you can stay in red spirit gauge indefinitely if you top it up just like in MH3U, unlike MH4U where you dropped out completely after a certain amount of time.
Ravemaster620 Bushido longsword kind of nullifies its nerfs. Bushido and Longsword seem like a match made in heaven. You can insta up your gauge after a dodge. It's really neat.
+Etherwinter One of the reasons as to why I want to go back to using Longsword in MHGen. I only used it a few times early game in MH4U for elemental reasons but Bushido looks like it was made for Longsword.
I was w8ing for this! :P And yes, CB it's most definately... NOT DEAD! The nerf didn't surprise nor shocked me, since the weapon was ( and still is! ) versatile, powerful and unique in it's own way, in MH4U the weapon truly blossom in comparison with MH4. And I gotta say... Aerial and Bushido are pretty darn nice. I'll aim for Guild and Bushido, but Aerial... I really like the fact that you can do both your Super and Ultra Burst while airborne! :) Energy Blade and Over Limit are so good. Healing Bottle is good for multiplayer. This so called "nerf" wasn't that bad really :)
+ShadowBlazeroPT Actually online in mhx it's quite dead. Once in a blue moon you see a CB and even then it's someone from the west. Nerfs were quite hard. DB is the most popular right now.
+ShadowBlazeroPT SnS didn't need to be 'reborn' it was quite good already. Also CB is bottom of the barrel and Bow is OP. This isn't what I call balanced ;)
+ginmori Agreed with SnS, it was already pretty good, now it"s much better. CB even doe NOT HAS it's commonly used due to the considerable changes, people STILL use it, and I don't use Gunner weapons but Bows seems pretty ridiculous from what I've seen And how about just go with the flow? Of course it's not perfectly BALANCED, there's weapons that stand out from others in every single MH like always *cof* Fantastic 4 it's back *cof* *cof* GS, LS, DB and Hammer for the win *cof* *cof*
+ShadowBlazeroPT Me with HBG has been causing major havoc against monsters. Built in shots and supernovas, skill that causes you not to use ammo is going great. Pierce is extremely popular since HBGs with great pierce shots are just doing hella dmg over LBGs especially if you abuse load gunpowder III, perfect reload, and siege mode
can you do like a game play Montage of the charge blade using adept style....I'd like to see it in action...and everywhere else no one really uses it... thanks for all the hunting info.. hapoy hunting
Very nice video, i love you man! I'm totally new to monster hunter world so im enjoing your video pretty much. Is it possibile to have an andvanced video like i saw for mh4? i still dont understand the use of god point and other things so i would really like to see more about that!
I have no idea how to go about how to properly get into this game. I get you kill things to make better stuff, but I don't know how to figure out a monsters strengths, what armors to wear for what mission, or how to decide on the two weapon types I want to focus upgrading on.
If you've already got a red charged shield, does charging your shield from sword mode extend the duration of red or does it change it to yellow or something? Also, you can still sidestep from guard, right? I wouldn't have expected it to be taken out.
very helpful for future reference when this game comes to america :) ive been playing mh4u religiously. if you still play mh4u i could totally use more hunters ^_^ might there be a chance i could add ya and tackle some hunts? charge blade is kinda my staple weapon and im happy to see these changes
hm, liked the charge blade because it was kinda a bigger version of the normal sns :/ now that im kinda forced to use the axe more i guess i switch back to other weapons, meh
R + X => sword mode to axe mode Hold (X+A) to position for a super burst, but cancel it immediately by pressing R => axe mode to sword mode but with a red shield So, the combo is R+X > Hold(X+A) > R
Don't apologize for making long the video so long. It was in depth and informative, and it really cleared up a lot of questions I had about the weapon.
SketchBookShortFilms ^^ This. A hundred times this.
Just started and im coming from world. Thank you for having these available for those going into the past games
It took me a while to notice, but this is for mhgen, not Gen ultimate
I gotta say man you're tutorials helped me become a better charge blade user and for that i say thank you.
Note: Even though it's advised not to use Yellow Charge, you can still use the Shield thrust to add additional seconds to Red Charge. Any remaining seconds in Yellow will get transferred to Red when changing states.
Checked the comments to see if this was mentioned and here you are. Good lad. 👍
i love the charge blade more than anything.....
had too morgage the house but i got the new charge blade
@@clickingonchaos3741 worth it
I picked up Gen on the 3DS and could never get into it. Finally, after World and Rise I picked up Gen Ultimate for switch and I came right back here even 6 years later and got schooled and got solid advice. Thanks a million!
HOLY FUCK I HAD TO WATCH THE BUSHIDO THREE TIMES.
MAIN DECIDED. BUSHIDO CHARGE BLADE.
Same!
Yeah buddy!!
same
Bushi all the way.
Dicking around in the demo, perfect guard makes you potentially indestructible and allows for some pretty brutal counters.
I was skeptical about not being able to shift into charged shield with the shield jab combo like you can in the others, but you easily get over it considering how easy it is to survive in axe mode, now.

Extremely well done. I have to agree with everyone else about your apology, though. This was as concise as the video could have possibly been.
This may be 8 years old but heck this is what I needed rn! Bless
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm playing generations right now and trying to learn the charge blade and it's been difficult but with this I have a better understanding and hope to master it. In whichever MH game we get next I plan using just the charge blade, this video was very helpful.

It was lengthy because you did a good job explaining the base weapon for new players. Don't apologize for doing something well! :)
Can I favorite this video twice? Really awesome! Helps me a lot. Thanks for this, sir
As someone who comes from MHP3rd I have to say that the charge blade looks awesome!!
First time trying Charge Blade...Seems complicated........

Spencer Chua Second tume trying Chage Blade: I LOVE IT
Tbh I thought it was gonna be hard but after mashing buttons its easier than I thought it would
thanks for the good work arekkz :D its my favourite weapon !!! :D
I'm so excited for mhg, your tutorials are the things bomb man, thanks for all the hard work you put into them.
Energy Blade looks like an even flashier version of Monado Buster.
Shulk's really feeling it
i was playing the demo first time. and i shocked due to the different combo and control for cb. i thought my favorite weapon is already gone till i watched this video. Thanks arekk! bushido ftw!

Is there a way to tell if your shield is running out of charge like in 4u when it starts blinking yellow
aww, thats gonna get annoying :/
If you keep an eye on the little red shield symbol, when it starts flashing, it is going to end soon.
I am so glad they've made the charge blade/ax more about using sword mode to charge the ax because that was how I used it in 4U.
This video actually helped a lot. It's still weird for me to actually use axe mode without just simply shortcutting from SnS mode.
I could see striker CB being a a really viable support play style, with the over limit+healing bottle combo and that one healing fountain art, kinda makes me wanna go try that out when I get the game. (Also really looking forward to the GL tutorial)
im actually really happy about the changes. i loved using axe in 4 and 4g but it wasnt particularly useful at all
I love the changes they made to charge blade. sure it may seem nerfed but I'm alot more aggressive with my plays now
The nerfs just made it so that 1) people who could guard point didn't just guard point everything then go into a ultra\super Burst, and 2) the Overlimit hunter art didn't make the Ultra Burst insanely more OP
I think that striker is the best one for this. You get an extra hunter art and lose basically nothing.
finally youve done this !!!!! Ill ROCK bushido style :D
My first monster hunter game was Generations, and I was late to the party, so I didn’t even know you could charge a shield to red! I’ve been completing solo missions with yellow charge this whole time. Now when I finally go online I’ll at least look like someone who knows what they’re doing...

Well thank you. Now I know how to use Charge Blade for Monster Hunter Generations.
+Jub Orb That I'm not so sure but long animations or bodies doesn't equate to a muti hitting move.
Also u can down chop in Axe mode if u delay X imput after the A, A combo
A very helpful guide. Thanks
cant wait for the long sword and dual blades tutorial. those are my main blademaster weapons
Gaijin Hunter already did a tutorial for the LS. Go check it out! :)

+ShadowBlazeroPT thanks for the info
Ok, so I've been playing for about a week now, and haven't gotten very far, so my weapons are are pretty low tier at the moment.
I've noticed that on all my charge blades, when I press R to guard, my character does a stupid animation at the start that takes a good second or so before the guard actually begins. I've seen countless of your videos on the weapon and never seen this happen whenever you use it.
Is this animation a result of lower tier weapons, or is there a skill I need in order to get my guard up faster? I love the weapon, but adept style is worthless if you can't get perfect guards off.
That animation is the Adept block window. That's a "perfect guard." Guard points are still a thing.
Just switch to Aerial. That's what I have and it's awesome 😂
@@tired247 Bushido CB takes full advantage of the CB, aerial's meh
Hmm, hunting art synergies for the awesome powers, or OP bushido with the closest thing to transferring energy to shield as red shield from sword and shield... Hard choice.
Thank you! very clear. very concise!
oh thanks for the tutorial, i was starting MHG right now coz MHW Iceborne update is a bit difficult
If you’re super late to the party like me, Bushido style is called Adept in Ultimate.
Hey i think that the Aerial Super Burst actually does more damage (90) than the ground one (75).
Who else is Aerial? AERIAL RULES!!!
I use Adept for Elemental CBs for Max Elemental/Status with the Shield Thrust (Too good to pass on this) with Limit Breaker as a Hunter Art, and Striker for Impact CBs for Maximum Dunking Potential.
REALLY HELPFUL ! Thank you very much :D
I feel like Bushido(Adept now I suppose) and Striker are going to be the main styles I use for CB.
Sure, you can land quick ultras, but they aren't much powerful than grounded ultras and you'd have to charge your shield and phials again to perform another one.
these playlists really need to be chronological, ESPECIALLY if he's gonna mention that the first video, isn't the first video.
What type of charge blade was used in the beginning of the video? The one that had a laser look attack.
So, does bushido activate on guard points?
Nope, only the ways I showed in this video
+Arekkz Gaming hi Arekkz , Could you tell me what set you are using in the video ? i recognize deviant tetsu chest and waist but what are the other parts ? and is it juste a fancy set or actual good set for CB ? thanks for your answer ! Great job btw love your videos ! =)
"The changes to the charge blade really encourage axe use"
>In order to get red shield, you have to go into axe mode, initiate burst, then hit R, which goes back into SnS mode instead of staying in axe.
>red shield now lasts 3 minutes, blocking does not reduce your sharpness, and blocking normally does the mini burst which was restricted to GP (which was one of the rewards for using GP properly).
I guess that change was made for two reasons:
1) It gives Bushido style more of a use as the whole point of Bushido is countering your opponent.

I think I would be more forgiving if the GPs actually did something in Bushido.
Ravemaster620
Bushido longsword kind of nullifies its nerfs.
And yes, CB it's most definately...
Energy Blade and Over Limit are so good.
+ginmori nerfs were predictable and some weapons needed to "reborn", such as SnS, LS, Hammer, etc...
Everything it's now balanced and equally good :)
CB even doe NOT HAS it's commonly used due to the considerable changes, people STILL use it, and I don't use Gunner weapons but Bows seems pretty ridiculous from what I've seen
And how about just go with the flow?
Sorry that this isn't related to MH in any way but what song do you use for your end-slate? Those few seconds make for one hell of a jam XD
can you do like a game play Montage of the charge blade using adept style....I'd like to see it in action...and everywhere else no one really uses it... thanks for all the hunting info.. hapoy hunting
Is bushido adept mode?
yes
No
I’m just kidding
Maybe take it easy for the next one and do the heavy + light BG?
Very nice video, i love you man! I'm totally new to monster hunter world so im enjoing your video pretty much. Is it possibile to have an andvanced video like i saw for mh4? i still dont understand the use of god point and other things so i would really like to see more about that!
Guard points are basically really fast ways of blocking, usually within an attack so you can counter instantly after the guard point!
Oh god I hope the sidestep isn't taken out, it's so great for repositioning.
well done dude!! can u tell me what's your armor set in this video?
Does it work like the charge blade in monster hunter world. If so ima have a great time when generations comes out on switch
I play a lot of longsword and bow and those are the only weapons I'm good at. I wanna learn some other weapons and I decided charge blade.
Did they get rid of the strengthened upslash after filling your phials that deal phial damage if you have a charged shield? That's sorta a bummer.
How does yellow shield charge affect the shield thrust compared to red charge?
very helpful for future reference when this game comes to america :) ive been playing mh4u religiously. if you still play mh4u i could totally use more hunters ^_^ might there be a chance i could add ya and tackle some hunts? charge blade is kinda my staple weapon and im happy to see these changes
I like this weapon
i don't want the Light Bowgun to be the last one of the Weapon Workshop. i don't want to wait till March ;(
Well, in Cross I cant load my Shield with X+A and X+A again? It goes for that shield animation but don't transfer them?
Same
hm, liked the charge blade because it was kinda a bigger version of the normal sns :/ now that im kinda forced to use the axe more i guess i switch back to other weapons, meh
How do I transfer it into my shield? To make it glow red?
I believe it was X+A then R have to do it twice for red
You gotta change into Axe Mode by pressing R+X then pressing X+A and the moment you raise your Axe press R
R + X => sword mode to axe mode
Hold (X+A) to position for a super burst, but cancel it immediately by pressing R => axe mode to sword mode but with a red shield
So, the combo is R+X > Hold(X+A) > R
That part in the video confused me but you helped clear that up. Otherwise this was a great video and really helped.
