Are the AMG models worth it? What's been your absolute favorite S class so far? I've always wanted a w140 coupe myself.

I don't think the AMG models are worth it since the S class generally has plenty of performance. Hard to say my favorite S class. If I had to choose, I would probably say the W116 300SD. I've owned a W140 V12 couple once and it is a truly special car.

@youtoobe169 I'd love the w116 the ronin car :) is there any benz that you can drive daily that's reliable that doesn't cost a fortune in maintenance?

@@Forgoten214 There are actually a lot of good ones out there, but maintenance and history are the most important aspects.

@youtoobe169 I'm thinking of getting a s320 w140 because they were super reliable

@@Forgoten214 I had one of those (a '93). Overall reliable but they do have some common issues like the AC evap core, steering box, wiring harness and a few other things

How much would you sell the 540d for?

Funny you should ask... I just submitted it to bring a trailer.

@@youtoobe169 I wouldn’t afford it anyways, you have a rare beast and I think you should see how long it runs before it dies.

That would be nice, but I keep cycling them in and out so never too many at one time.
