My take is that it’s definitely a tease to what’s to come. Leaves us wanting more. So I’m pretty fucking excited about that! Syn’s solo was fucking awesome! Definitely heard some jazz in there. I remember M Shadows saying he wanted to get away from all the screaming… Yes to your point I don’t think he was using his full range when singing but again “tease”
The video was 🔥 When you couple it with the lyrics it’s giving us a peek of where A7X is and how they are seeing this fucked up fallen 🌎 and us in it.
Maybe a wake up call or warning…

I like it! It’s different
Waking The Fallen will forever be my fav album of theirs, that being said, I love the progression of their music over the years. As long as M. Shadows is belting it out, I am in.
To me, the interpretation of the music video is this:
A man is depressed in the world and body he lives in. So his soul travels around the earth and through history to find peace and joy. He realizes that the world is full of death and destruction and so meets the devil who then tells him he will take the man's soul to a eutopic paradise. The man agrees and lets the devil take him to this eutopic paradise in a different world. When the man arrives he realizes that this "perfect place" is actually an artificially created hell where no one else exists and everything is fake (because a perfect artificial eutopic world does not actually exists). And so the mans soul runs to the edge of this hell and jumps off into the space time continuum to then rejoin his body. The moral of the story is to be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Be careful searching for paradise because what you think is paradise might actually be hell in the end.
I absolutely love their last album "The Stage" it was something different and gave more of their creative side and it's been nearly 7 years since The Stage was released on 28th of October 2016, I think Matthew vocals in this song fit perfectly and he doesn't always have to go fully screamy just like he did in "seize the day" & "fiction" many others 🖤🤘
This is the furthest thing from a sellout
Just thinking out loud,Makes me laugh when people think they sell out. Those who say that, are also those that have heard the band, they know they used to shred and scream and all that so they hear something so different to that and make judgements.
They are humans doing whatever the fuck they want, experimenting with new sound and meaning while the rest of the world are locked into the mindset of expecting hits and all the best bits.
I have a feeling this album is gonna be pretty dark and heavy in an Avenged Sevenfold kinda way
Imagine the other songs, because you know they're all gonna be different!
Its a great song, especially the guitar solo, but i hope whole album is not like this one, i like it a bit faster, and nasty, but it should be a concept album, so im thinking we also get some diffrent moods to the story.. and that makes me kind of exited about it, and yeah its A7X, didnt drop a album in 7 yrs, and here they are, whats not to like..
This is track 3 of 11 and it deals with existential crisis. So im sure track 5 or 6 will be anger or brutality if i had to guess. I doubt the whole record is like this, but it will be a mix of the different elements in this song
