I’ve never used an entire line from The Mane Choice. I have my favorites here and there, gels and leave ins. The Cheers Gelato rinse out conditioner is a favorite. My all time favorites are the Tropical Moringa Sweet Oil & Honey Endless Moisture Restorative Spray, the Ancient Egyptian Anti Breakage and Repair 24K Glistening Gold Twisting gel and because I got my first beautiful WNG with this product, the Crystal Orchid Biotin Infused Styling gel. Also the 3-N-1 leave in that they changed the formula on.

That Egyptian line is delicious! Especially the mask & the gel. You’re right with their older formula gels. They’re so bomb. I’ve tried everything aside from the shampoo in the Egyptian line & it’s my favorite. The pink lemonade & coconut conditioner is decent. I think the problem arises when Black hair care products become popular they get bought out by white owned companies who have no business involving themselves with what we’re doing especially since our hair care needs have absolutely nothing to do with them & they have no idea what is required to make our hair feel amazing & thrive. I think that’s why most of the newer lines are so horrible and the shampoos are so stripping. They’re trying to also appeal to their people when they can go buy hair products from the grocery store & be fine. We really can’t.
You have me hooked on that Soft As Can Be 3n1 Revitalize and Refresh Conditioner. That stuff is AMAZING!!!! IDK what I'm going to do when I can't get the old packaging anymore. 🥺🥺🥺

The new Manetabolism collection is BAE!!! The leave in is moisturizing, the mask is amazing my hair was soft, moistured, and defined! Gel is a new staple has a great hold more than gelato but less than the proceed with caution and the mint drops replaced the growth oil for me!

I'm not moved to try much from The Mane Choice. Probably too many choices. But, I did try the Sea Kelp & Feverfew Herb Rehydration Therapy from the boosting kit line. I have hard well water and it claims to protect against hard water. I think it lives up to its claim. I noticed less frequent buildup issues over time. So, I pick up a bottle whenever it's on sale at Ulta.

The deep conditioner from the original line did make it into the Alpha re-brand. It's in a container instead of the previous packaging

SheRea DelSol put me onto the Peach black tea mask! I know Sally's has the carrot mask you said is not on their website anymore. I almost got my hands on it last fall when Sally's had the 50% off sale.
Glad to hear someone found this mask. Every time I ordered it from Sally's online they had to refund my money because it sold out. I recently learned about the 8oz jars of the mask and will be checking CVS & Walgreens. 😅

My Mane choice favorites: shampoo the tropical moringa & cheers
Rise out condition: Cheers (I keep it in for at least 20 minutes with heat & its lovely)
Dc: tropical moringa & the alpha green tea
Leave-in: tropical moringa
Butter: the alpha (I think that’s the only butter they have)
Gel: braid out glaze & gelato
Foam: pink lemonade
MC got a lot of gem once you know what your looking for.

Based on your recommendation I defintely tried that Soft As Can Be 3 in 1 and you are ABSOLUTELY right. So much slip like it's ridiculous! All those other ones I'll let those be my entertainment. Mane Choice I feel like as a brand can do a 180 like Carols Daughter so I'm not losing out hope for them.

Hey girlie! This was great! That peach black tea mousse was disappointing, I know we talked about it before but it just looked like something bad was happening in that bottle like a science project! Sally’s took care of me thank goodness. Now the exotic Kool aid leave in is amazing! I had an extra bottle and gave it to my brother and he loves it! Yes he shops at my beauty supply store aka closet! The cheers conditioner is good but it’s hard to get out of the bottle which sucks! The heavenly halo oil is awesome even though it’s in a spray bottle. The gels you mentioned are bomb! The rest I haven’t tried after the science project in a bottle!

Love TMC leave-ins and gels too! They pair well with other brands, but test them out first. For some reason I use this brand more in the summer/spring months.

I've only tried tow things from the mane choice; it doesn't get much butter, and the life in a jar. The butter was very greasy and not moisturizing at all, but I would highly recommend the life in a jar; it brought my hair back from a mistake I made that totally dried it out.

I'm late but thanks for this! I've tried only two TMC products so far: the Alpha Mask and the Soft As Can Be 3-in-1 conditioner (new one only). The Alpha Mask is my staple: it made my hair look and feel noticeably healthier upon first use, and the ingredients are amazing for my low-porosity hair! The 3-in-1 conditioner leaves my hair as soft as a cloud. It isn't a holy grail product for me... but I trust it over other leave ins I've tried. After watching your review, I'm interested in the Alpha line's gel as well as the Tropical Moringa's gel, mask, and leave-in.

Girl what's taking you so long to try the bold buttery gel? You're missing out! I love the cheers gelato, minty guava shampoo, sweet papaya conditioner, easy on the curls shampoo and rinse out conditioner, and type 4 leaf clover shampoo and rinse out conditioner. I don't like the pearly braid out gel or the crystal orchid biotin gel.

I agree with your analysis, totally. And I am a TMC fan. But the only ones I rock with are The Core Collection, Tropical Moringa, and Do it for the Fro. That's it. I do like the shampoo from the Kool-aid collection. But other than that. Those 3 are all that I'm buying no matter how many more they create!

My hair loved the Prickly Pear overnight conditioner and leave in. But there was so much biotin in the leave in, I couldn’t use it. I’m allergic to biotin. Same for the Ancient Egyptian and Core leave ins. The Do It Fro the Culture destroyed my hair. My favorite collections are the Heavenly Halo and Tropical Moringa. I think I’m moving on from TMC.

I love the shampoo, conditioner and mask from the original collection as well as the shampoo and the gel from the Cheers collection 🙌🏾 I want to try the conditioner from the Cheers line as well because of all the good things I’ve heard about it. I’m also a fan of the edge gel from the Four Leaf Clover line. I hardly ever do my edges (my hair is usually covering them), but when I do that is my go to product.

My favs are the cheers gelato, peach and green tea mask (I think thats what it is called), and the mint guava shampoo... i am still working with the braid out glaze for a wash n go😂😂it has so much potential

@@NJEberhart I used the braid out glaze on a wash n go and it came out piecey... idk how to explain it but the hold is good but I didnt get any clumped curls... maybe I have to use it w/ another gel or cream gel but I dont want it to be too crunchy or deal w/ flaking...

I did a little bit of the camille rose coconut water leave in, put the braid out glaze on the entire section then go in and apply the gelato like I would a regular wash n go... i work on damp hair but i added a lot of water on each section before i put the gelato on... i will repurchase the braid out glaze again because it + the gelato is bomb😂😂

Such great info!!!! I just used the tropical Maranga sp? Dc before getting my braids and the girl that did my hair kept saying OMG your hair is so moisturizer it’s so soft. I didn’t even get a chance to use heat so I can only guess how it’s gone show out when I do get some heat with it .!😂

I found the Alpha green tea and carrot mask in Burlington today, it was in a regular mask container not the black bottle you showed so I’m not sure if that’s the new or old but I got it $7.99
I haven’t tried any tmc product. But now I might start with the DC. Btw would you consider trying a foreign/latina brand? Like Afro love(sold at Walmart) maybe the DC, the curling cream and the strong hold gel. I am sure you would love them❤️❤️❤️

I like to use the hair type 4 leaf clover green and purple bottle for my hair and the purple and black to wash and condition it it has grown my hair back!

I’ve tried the entire Ancient Egyptian collection and I love it, but not sure if it’s my scalp or the product but every time I take my twist out down, I have so many flakes. Not scalp flakes, but more so product flakes. Haven’t figured out which product is causing it but I need to figure it out.
Hey love ☺️. I have had some issues with their stylers flaking as well. But to be honest I have not used Mane Choice in a while as I feel like they have changed the formula on many of my favorite products. I hope you figure out what is causing the issue, Thanks for watching 😊
@@NJEberhart thank you friend. Yeah I think it’s something in the Egyptian line that causes the flaking cause I went back to the tropical moringa sealing cream and restorative spray and my hair loved it! Yeah, they have changed the formula, ever since the ceo sold the company 🥴

Thank you so much! Curl type depends on the pattern of your curl. The tighter it is, the more likely it is type 4 hair. Typing doesn’t matter as long as you know how to keep your hair strong and moisturized.

I'm little late thinking about going back The Mane Choice line; but wanted get your opinion or somebody you know that may have tried these products. The kids shampoo line Fruit Melody Orange? The lemon conditioner one or Green apple leave in conditioner to go with the shampoo?

The Mane Choice Type 4 line I was allergic to it, scalp was itching so bad.

If you had choose for defining gel my fine curls due to thinning hair which product be better. Have you tryed buttery bold gel yet?
The 24 karat, The Gelato, or The blue one ? I want soft touch when dry no flakes
Hey Rachael 🤗 I have not tried it but many say that the buttery bold gel gives a soft hold. Gelato and Pearly Braid out glaze give a more firm hold. Thanks for watching 💕
I have like 2a type of hair, which may be wavy if I do something, if I don't do anything is kind of "straight" beachy waves but I just realized it doesnt get wet, like I can shower and get our and its still dry, water doesnt get in, not in the pool not on the beach, and I can be hours on the water SO made the porosity test and stay on top for more than a day, would you say that even I'm not curly mane choice moringa would work for me? THANK YOU! By the way your skin is so glowy
You need to use warm to hot water when washing and conditioning your hair. You have low porosity hair. Heat will open up the strands to allow products to penetrate it. You need to also rinse with warm water.
Have you tried crystal orchid styling gel?
Hey Tiffany 💕. That’s probably one of the few gels from them I have not tried lol. But I know they changed that collection to the Alpha collection and probably changed the formula smh.
