I have a G660 with a 36" bar on an F2 PLUS mill. I am all smiles. I did a lot of upgrades to the saw with OEM STIHL parts and installed a high output oil pump before I ever started the saw for the first time. Dual port muffler and foam around the air filter for easy cleaning. The saw is an absolute monster.

I ordered my G660 on Black Friday and received it last night. Got to run it a little this morning. It's an absolute beast and a huge step up from my Jonsered 2255 (455 Rancher basically). Can't wait to get the G660 fully broken in and milling some of the fallen red oaks on my land.

Bilt hard saw is seriously amazing. I owned over 10 stihl chainsaw and sold them all after using bilt hard. The saw actually cuts way better than stihl or even other name brand saws. I paid $129 after Tax free shipping. I just wish they sold a logging saw with longer bar. There is supposedly some brother companies of bilt hard that make the big logging saws. But for just regular tree cutting the bilt hard is a beast of a saw. Already dropped it over 100 feet from top of tree. Just stayed running til I got down there and didn't break anything. Not even a scratch. I know for a fact stihl will shatter like broken glass from that high in air. Really these bigger name brands are just that, a name. My dad who has been using stihl for over 50 years used my saw once. Ordered two brand new bilt hard 20" saws and within a week of using , he decided to get rid of his stihls too. It's not that we have anything against stihl. They are good saws but for the cost of a new bar and chain, I can just buy the bilt hard saws complete with all kinds of stuff that comes with it. They actually Rev way higher than a normal stihl and just seem to have way more power cutting.

I have a Holzfforma G111 T and run Shell Premium @ 90 to 1 mix using Opti-2 oil. Absolutely 0 smoke & instant power. I have a 30 year old RedMax trimmer with well over 2000 commercial hours on it and never skipped a beat. I have never had a 2 stroke fail using Opti-2. A 25 to 1 or even 40 to 1 is crazy.

Hey bud. I'm mostly sided with you. BUT! The G888 is in a different category. I have a firewood business and usually run Stihl Only. Have a 034, 029 super, and an old 066. All very good was especially the 029 super for its size. I recently purchased the Holz G888, as it was 1000aud delivered compared to around 4.5k for the Stihl ms880.
This Holz is a beast! I've ran it over 200 hours so far. Hasn't missed a beat. And as far as internals. It is IDENTICAL to the big stihls.
Remember it's still german design. It's only built in china.

Yea if abused and you do not know how to make repairs for yourself they might be a pain, however I have had most of mine for nearly 2 years and only one has given me any problems and it has a scored piston which I can easily repair myself and I can order the part for about as much as it cost me gas to drive to a dealership, and I live in a city where there are several dealerships with in 10 min of me. So its really not about who made the saw as much as it is about the person using it, and what they know about how to tune one and repairing it when needed.
