One of the better interviews of Manson, the interviewer doesn't goad him o and spends most of the time listening to what Charles has to say.

This is the best interview I've seen with Charlie Manson. The interviewer isn't rude like most of Charlie's interviewers.

Nicholas Schreck and Ron Reagan, Jr. are the two best interviews. There is one other interview though, that I can't remember currently, where he is in prison but he is outside in the back hanging out with a few other inmates and they had the radio going too. So there's really only three good interviews.
The Geraldo, Snyder and Daniels interviews were more of a war or a chess game, which Manson in my opinion, check mated all the people trying to demonize him.
Manson didn't commit those crimes. Tex Watson did! Tex Watson was the psychopath and all those people that turned on him, Sadie, Watson, Krinwinlke all turned on Manson and lied about what happened so they could plea bargain with the D.A. to get their death penalty sentences commuted to just life in prison.
Manson is actually a really down to earth good person. He isn't the demon the media makes him out to be. Manson was one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century in my opinion.

I think it was Bugliosi who said, shortly before his death, that Polanski retrieved those videos when he returned (the police had collected them as part of their search). Apparently, Polanski had forced/coerced, and filmed, Sharon having sex with two men. It seems she was very unhappy about that, but did it for Polanski. Given that he turned out to be a complete degenerate and child rapist, I don’t put it past him.

I love how this man casually says things like, "I spent a year in the hole," and, yet, he doesn't feel sorry for himself - it is just a part of his story (he accepts his dark fate). Most people couldn't survive a day in the life of this man (let alone a WEEK in solitary - he spent most of his life in solitary). He had no fear. No fear of humiliation (especially). I thought he was a narcissistic maniac growing up, but (when and if you hit any kind of enlightenment), you can't help but see him "trying hard to be real" in a world that makes it impossible to be honest.

The most interesting part about this interview is the fact that Reagan never wasn’t the one to bring up the subject of the Tate labianca murders, unlike every other person to interview Charlie. Charlie eventually brought it up on his own. I find that interesting bc that says that Charlie expected Reagan to bring up the murders bc every other interviewer would specifically use the murders as the main weapon against Charlie in every interview. And not only did Reagan not bring the murders up, he actually interacted w Charlie as if Charlie was just a regular person. I think those two approaches by Reagan caught Charlie off guard, leaving him wandering “wait... what does Reagan think of me??” Which is what Charlie finally asked at 9:21
