One of the better interviews of Manson, the interviewer doesn't goad him o and spends most of the time listening to what Charles has to say.

This is the best interview I've seen with Charlie Manson. The interviewer isn't rude like most of Charlie's interviewers.

Nicholas Schreck and Ron Reagan, Jr. are the two best interviews. There is one other interview though, that I can't remember currently, where he is in prison but he is outside in the back hanging out with a few other inmates and they had the radio going too. So there's really only three good interviews.
The Geraldo, Snyder and Daniels interviews were more of a war or a chess game, which Manson in my opinion, check mated all the people trying to demonize him.
Manson didn't commit those crimes. Tex Watson did! Tex Watson was the psychopath and all those people that turned on him, Sadie, Watson, Krinwinlke all turned on Manson and lied about what happened so they could plea bargain with the D.A. to get their death penalty sentences commuted to just life in prison.
Manson is actually a really down to earth good person. He isn't the demon the media makes him out to be. Manson was one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century in my opinion.

I think it was Bugliosi who said, shortly before his death, that Polanski retrieved those videos when he returned (the police had collected them as part of their search). Apparently, Polanski had forced/coerced, and filmed, Sharon having sex with two men. It seems she was very unhappy about that, but did it for Polanski. Given that he turned out to be a complete degenerate and child rapist, I don’t put it past him.

Manson is finally able to be himself in this 1991 interview with Ronald Reagan's son. Ron is not judging, attacking, or accusing Manson of anything and as a result, Manson's defenses went down from the start and he was calm and able to be himself and for all to see, he's really a good, soft spoken, intelligent and likable guy. Best ever interview of Manson. The most real, genuine and sincere at least.

How much money was made on this mans back? and people are still making money right off his back. The revenue of Charles Manson is counted in the billions so far. Tortured from the age of 10, experimented upon. Charles was a character made by violence, experimentation and depression. What did you he can clearly see he’s got psychological issues, not playing with a full deck, if you will once again, if he’s the same now as he was, when he was convicted, it’s just impossible. Also, I believe I heard in an interview of Madison that Bugliosi pretty much made up the whole prosecuting story.

I love how this man casually says things like, "I spent a year in the hole," and, yet, he doesn't feel sorry for himself - it is just a part of his story (he accepts his dark fate). Most people couldn't survive a day in the life of this man (let alone a WEEK in solitary - he spent most of his life in solitary). He had no fear. No fear of humiliation (especially). I thought he was a narcissistic maniac growing up, but (when and if you hit any kind of enlightenment), you can't help but see him "trying hard to be real" in a world that makes it impossible to be honest.

This was an excellent interview mostly due to the interviewer being respectful and allowing CM to speak unlike many others I have watched.

Charles Manson may have done some bad or criminal activities in his lifetime, but I don’t believe he was the person the media made him out to be. Like he said before “Once they put my picture on the cover of TIME, it was over me!” The treatment he received since he was little (including prison treatment) was probably enough to make anybody crazy! I don’t think he was responsible for anyone’s murder.

While I do agree that Reagan allowed Manson to speak his mind, he (Reagan) also seemed quite snide to me in his undertones and expressions.
I liked being able to hear Manson out though. He's very intelligent.

Charlie did a lot of interviews
over the years throughout his incarceration.
I always had this vision of Charlie
    after these interviews,
going back to his cell and crying
    himself to sleep.
He really never had anyone his
    whole life except himself,
    locked inside a concrete box.

The dude had fans all over the world, he ran an underworld and got respect every now and then.
Interviews every year, because the establishment and the media loved the occult pop culture side of it for "study" , sensationalism and for the money and their own exposure ofcourse, good for cv building.

Manson was a murderer through criminal philosophy, he was the head of a group that he taught to commit crimes for him...the head of the mafia probably doesnt go around shooting ppl himself...doesnt mean he isnt responsible for their deaths

Good interview, in every other interview with Charly, the host is more concerned with tryin' to stay on their moral pedestal than engagin' or tryin to relate' with the subject. Whether you like the man or not is i-relevant, this is the best way to get him to reveal his true character. Is this not the point of an interview? A great insight into a seriously warped mind. The really fucked up thing is sometimes he talks sense!

They wanted Manson really BAD, but why? This would have been an easy straight case, especially nowadays. They have tried for how many years to break Manson and they never have and they hate it. They think the longer he's in the pen that eventually he will break and he will never break. So what does that tell you? You can break down a lie easily. I would love to sit down and talk with Manson. Just about ordinary, everyday things. Also if someone says "well he made them do it". You can't make somebody do something and that still doesn't make him guilty of murder because he didn't kill anyone.
