As a retired sailor on a warship in China, what you see is only 10% of the bloggers of this warship. Why don't you talk about the radar bloggers of 055? Do you know the C4 neuron sensing system in the United States and the Guanyin system in China? In this era, warships are only a part of modern war, that is, the war between the United States and China. They are system confrontation, which is the confrontation between C4 and Guanyin. Under this system, it is the warship missile fighter radar electronic warfare. The United States lags behind China in every respect.

Wikipedia is strongly lacking behind the actual ships launched by PLAN. This channel gives a great overview of actual numbers, and even if it's not that neutral, it paints a very accurate picture.

It’s astonishing to see how quickly China has built the world’s second largest navy. I’ve always said “China builds, thinks and acts on a a scale incomparable to any other society”.
Not even the former Soviet Union’s navy presented a challenge as daunting to the United States that China does. There’s no comparison, or precedent.
That would be implying the Soviet Navy was actually a threat at some point. The actual threat came from the hundreds of Tu-22M bombers built towards the end of the Cold War. Soviet doctrine would throw 100 of them at a single carrier group.

It's a destroyer, not a cruiser, in the same way that China is a developing economy, not a developed one.
Well that's how NATO classifies them, although it's not really that simple. The Chinese don't really use the Type 055 for the sorts of C&C roles that define a cruiser in the NATO classification, and it's development is much more a continuation of the Type 052 series of destroyers rather than a fundamentally different warship (compared to, say, the Ticonderoga and Arleigh Burke). The PLAN has never really had cruisers and they don't have much need for the classification, whereas it is very convenient for the Americans to call it a cruiser because it makes the PLAN sound much more threatening and thus justifies more spending. In particular it is an effort to revive the cancelled CG(X) project.
It is worth noting that the CG(X) project was cancelled because they decided the task could be completed by the DDG(X) instead. So even in the United States, pretty much the last holdout of the antiquated "cruiser" term, the ship type is being phased out. The reality is that there aren't going to be any cruisers (except for maybe a couple of relics) in a decade or two.

It's possible to have spacious living quarters if it was implemented into the design, Zumwalt has similar design/layout as well. I think the ones shown in this videos are SNCO or JO quarters.

A rare look into these ships. Just to keep things into perspective, most Navy uses lead based paint, due to their anti corrosion property while the US Navy is mandated to not use lead based paint, thus, over time, you see rust spots all over the ship. I have toured multiple nation's ships, I have to say the Chinese, Japanese, Korean have one of the most clean interior. My question is, what does the chow looks like, and more importantly, do they have beer?

Alcohol is strictly forbidden in the Chinese army, not even beer.
The Chinese military used to allow alcohol consumption during banquets(in PLA it's called Huican aka 会餐 in Chinese), but all alcoholic drinks have been banned after the reform.
As for food, the food served on Chinese warships is mostly of a Chinese cuisine style, therefore the cooking equipment on the ship is also quite different from that of Western warships.

I expect most ships to end up with close in defense systems to protect against large swarms of small jet powered drones. Look at the video of an amateur radio controlled small aircraft (about 5 Kg) going 737 km/hr.

@@chester1234ificationI’ll have to disagree. In general I think the 055 is about a class higher than the 45 in almost all areas except for CIC. In terms of radar capabilities, the variety of lethal weaponry in the vls, the amount of power it generates, and it’s electronic warfare capabilities, in other words in every aspect that makes a modern warship dangerous, the 055 has a significant edge over the 45.

apparently the PRSM is going to be a non-hypersonic, non-stealth antiship ballistic missile which basically means its going to be fairly easy to shoot down. Its only saving grace would be that it can be fired in large volleys, but somehow I doubt the US can afford to lob large volleys of them at chinese warships over and over.
@@hughmungus2760 All ballistic missiles reach hypersonic velocities in the terminal phase, it's called gravity.
The question is whether or not they are maneuverable in this phase.
I have no doubt that Chinese hypersonic missiles in service today are superior to the PrSM 1 in every way, but the game is not one of hypersonic missiles fighting outer hypersonic missiles.
American PrSMs could be just as devastating to Chinese ships as DF-17s are to American ships. The Americans would just need to fire more of them, which is fine, since they're cheaper.

Also the PRSM has a warhead of under 100kg, whereas a chinese df21d has a warhead of well over 500kg
The DF17 is in a completely different league as the PRSM, its a hypersonic glider which means it spends the majority of its flight in an aerodynamic profile and can perform evasive manoeuvres that make it extremely difficult to intercept at range.
It will be even more formidble once they install the naval-based mid-course interceptors, such as the HQ-19 anti-ballistic missiles.

Can a Type 055 inflict severe damage on a carrier strike group if it strikes first?
A single one no, the YJ21s it uses are good but rather inaccurate for modern missiles, adding to that with the us testing there new SM missiles it will even further decrease the chance of a hit meaning a full strike group would be able to out launch a single type55. Best way for such a attack to succeed would be by having multiple plus type 052s to provide additional threats

A previous tour of one of the carrier had a shown such device.

Its current engines are kinda outdated. China is working on the next generation of better engines that might be adopted by 055 B / C models.
Well, its not outdated, just no longer the state of the art, and 055 has a lots of redundant engine power, which can be used to power rail gun or laser weapons in the future upgrade.
