Trucks like this were made to do work. The fact that it will actually do what it does against vehicles that were literally built to go fast, is really cool. Sure it’s forte isn’t going 155 miles per hour over 20 miles, but it’s a really cool toy that obviously catches a lot of people off guard. Nice truck!
Literally, diesel engines are a kind of a robust version of internal combustion Gasolines, for heavy duty vehicles. Even diesel engines are bigger, to withstand various pressure.
I know this video is 4 yrs old but after 1st seeing it 2 yrs ago inspired me to get my truck. It will never be an "Ivan" truck but I'm slowly making my progress to it. It's a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L V8. I put new plugs and wires, K&N intake, JETT performance MAF sensor. Last week I purchased Diablo i3 Tuner and tuned my truck. Thank you for your inspiration and keep the videos coming.
Not making anything close to this trucks power but I love surprising people with my 2011 F150. Running E85 tune and fuel, tonneau covers, k&n 77 series intake and the next step is a turbo
I Love fast LB7's! Maybe some day, I'll do a full socal diesel build, SDP already built my trans, but it's only got 45% SAC injectors and arp head studs, for longevity, everything else stock. I picked up my 2002 crew cab short box in 2012, for a Snowmobile trailer hauler, for the Wa. Cascades.
Is it an lmm or lml block? Actually curious. I wanna build an engine that won't break but I gotta start with the block and I don't wanna keep going through lb7 blocks
@thecohorts yes it would. Just gapped the car in this video. Wouldn't even be a race from a dig. No telling how much money he has in this setup, those diesels are bad to the bone if setup correctly. A lot of people are buying 3/4 ton diesels that don't pull anything, they are doing what this guy did, hurting feelings and taking doors.
I'll keep my LB7 for life, no desire to deal with all the electronics, and emissions junk on new ones. Will use an lml block eventually though, unless they figure out how to make l5p short blocks, work with lb7 heads.
If a Miata had that engine. The Miata would probably go over 250 MPH most likely and accelerate EXTREMELY QUICK due to how light and small a Miata is to begin with...
@@andrewmyers3331 Miata had the weight and aerodynamic advantage. If a Miata had the same power output at its wheel as a Corvette, it would be even quicker and faster than a Corvette. Miata is even lighter and smaller than a Corvette...
Compound Turbos? So Like 120lb of Boost? Like 9 Bar- 10 Bar of Boost? That is NOT Twin Turbos for Twin Turbos are Two Turbos Both Feeding the Engine and Compound Turbos is One Big Turbo Feeding a Smaller Turbo That Feeds the Engine. Twin Turbos you won't See over 45lb of Boost but with Compound Turbos you can Easy hit 120lb Boost. I've Seen a Lot of Piston Rods Brake and Go Through the Block on Compound Turbo Setups
"With a truck?" He would later regret those words

He smokes the competition. Literally.
"WTF kind of truck is that?!"
Built, not bought, my guy.
He could gap me with a trailer on 😭
Depends on how heavy is the trailer...
This is literally the nastiest fcking duramax i have ever seen, she fcking MOVES
Bro casually beat a viper in his truck
This thing is incredible, reminds me of the trucks my uncle would tune up for kicks n giggles lol
7:20 Daaaamn when he grabbed that gear it was over
Skip to 6:00 for the race
Thanks
Actual god
car guys really have no clue how fast a big HEAVY diesel can be best thing about it you can pull and daily it and still get good gas mileage
I'm really wondering if the viper wasn't a plant... kinda weird he just happened to pull up next to them...but still a good race lol
Probably was. It was my first thought.
What I was just thinking now. It was too perfect
I would not be able to in good conscious smoke people out like that need like a 20 foot stack lmfao badass truck man

Your perception of speed changes when you get GOT like this!
What color is the truck ?
Any new upgrades yet or engine mod still the same?
That trubo looks similar in size to our commercial trucks 🚛
Badass that viper wasn't ready
Need to turn the fuel down.... that's just too much. Idiots like this are the reason they wanna shut down diesel.
It’s probably set up for nitrous

It’s a lml block

i think he said lmm and corrected himself to lml
Likely an LML. It's what a lot of guys are going to
LML has the strongest structure, and best cooling passages of all of the duramax blocks
This is screaming Florida nothing but fast fuckin cars and sleepers better than any racing city or state in America
why its only 360p?
Original video was deleted, this a Reupload
How fast were you going in the video. Did you even hit top speed yet?
A v---v-viper? That is true speed
That's easy a 50k engine!
Cool truck. Dick move to get over in his lane just to get more smoke in his face though. I was with you up till then.
I dont think it was intentional, the steering on those roundbodies sucks so bad😂
@@JimoNutron Hopefully that's all it was then. lol
@@WIKIDTT also at a hundred plus steering gets really hard, def not intentional
@@brandonkeen245 yeah that truck wasn't designed for those kinds of speeds. Makes sense.
@@brandonkeen245It's not that bad if set up right. Crank the keys with a leveling kit? Nightmare.
NiCe HoT AiR iNtAkE lol…
Whats in the engine
One decently sized pothole would make the wheel shoot up too hard and send it straight into the turbo
Gail Banks is making a video on everything wrong with this build as we speak…. lol
absolute menace to the environment
This thing would gap a GT500 or Hell Cat Red Eye
No it wouldn't. Not from a roll.

I wonder if that engine fit in an miata
You can fit anything in a miata with some hillybilly engineering

is it a machine or a robot bro
More duramax content
lol you cut him off
Its 1800TQ
I need that that motor build
Badass truck
Extreme what racing 😂
Wish I could buy this truck 😂😂
Euro 5? :D
More like Euro -5 🤣
Badass
"25mpg probably" uhhh no your definitely not getting 25mpg
Pumped up diesels tend to get better milage than stock
