I would've liked to see the tire after that. Maybe do a depth gauge on the tread before and after? Some sort of a competition of how much tread can you burn through in 30 seconds? 😀 That wheel speed was INSANE.
1. I didn’t think 100lbs of boost was possible. 2. I love that after all that work, he’s still rocking the same OEM steering wheel. I’ve done way less to mine but, definitely prioritized the steering wheel since I hold it all the time. 3. I love that he built it & troubleshot it himself. Hard work, learning from mistakes, & sticking to your goals.

well when you don't compound them with nitrous and ask 1,100 hp on stock rods. They last forever. My parents bought a 92 12v in Oct of 1991, they proceeded to put over 310k miles, original clutch. They last forever if you don't abuse it.

I own a 2003 dodge ram 1500 V8 and not looking for anything fancy just a normal cummins 5.9L swap and idc if I have to drive across country I might have to take it to this guy, dude knows what he's doing seems very trustworthy.

The truck from twister does a twister in the burn yard. It's got compound turb-skies but more importantly it's got AIR CONDITIONING. My uncle bought one of these brand new in 1998 with the stick shift. They had a farm with goats and the goats would climb on the roof. When he traded it in for another ram the dealership ask him how the roof got so messed up.... being a man of few words he answered GOATS!
This reminds me of the og burnyard and the powerstroke with 800hp. I remember that was the first time I saw something with that much hp... Look at trucks now lol
Dakota is a smart kid, and he would stay up all night doing his best to make things right because he was a man of his word because he had integrity and I feel like he really went the extra mile for my truck, BUT within 5 months of building my NV4500 trans the dude completely changed. He refused to stand by his work when my trans blew up after only 5 months! This was despite claiming his unit would be perfect for my application and keep in mind it’s a work truck so I baby it. However, after it failed he walked it back saying only if you have a transfer case to support it will his units be able to keep 5th gear in place which makes sense, but he wasted my time not telling me that in the first place because I would have done a G56 from the outset. One of the excuses which he cited for not standing behind his work was because important people were flying him around the country paying him $500/hr to assemble engines (not even machine just assemble) their engines. I didn’t even push back so I just asked the dude for advice on what to do next but he still felt guilty I guess so on his own accord he started whining like a chick that he did my job way too cheap even tho I accepted his quote without haggling because I show respect, plus I even hauled a massive parts washer to his shop that he bought out of state to help the kid out. Moral of the story is always stay humble. The kid has great potential but needs to install a wastegate on his head to let some of the hot air out. I never got into an argument with him but I observed that he likes to talk real tough but he can’t back it up since when his unit failed he started whining like a chick making excuses. He also told me he stopped build NV4500’s despite telling Hoonigan he still does and he even posted an nv4500 build the same week mine failed and he told me he doesn’t build them anymore. He could spend his time learning how to vertically integrate and machine 5.9 blocks but instead he is trying to start a clothing line lol

Compounds are fucking shit for towing or any usable power really..its either no power or all the power. No in-between. Also those tires would get wrecked towing. This setup would suck for towing.

Stock rods are built for 1200hp 1800ftlb continuous. Cummins are bullet proof on fuel only. I cranked mine 6k rpm and on multiple occasions 60psi of boost. With stock bolts. Edge logged it. Sounded like sht at those rpm. Still runs and pulls whatever. 75 over 58 now. I ran the turbo configuration in a lot of form
The oil came out first, and then the heater hose blew. I'm pretty sure he blew a head gasket bad enough to blow oil out of the crankcase and put enough pressure in the cooling system to blow a hose.
I have a 1997 ram 3500 that makes 750hp and 1300lb ft of torque on a compound turbo setup and I love that truck I’ve put countless amounts of time and money into it but it was also the first truck my grandpa ever bought brand new and I grew up riding in it so I bought it off him and it means to much to get rid of

Mine's hit around 90psi a few times, 100psi isn't really hard to achieve in the diesel world, especially with a Cummins.
