Morning James. Cheap enough, also not a bad bit of kit if you were looking at 2nd hand vans. I can highly recommend the Aldi workshop heaters when the have them in. They are great for taking the chill of the awning when its being used in the winter. Operates at 500w on the lowest thermostat setting. Cant wait to get away in the van again👍👍
Thanks Karen & Chris I will keep an eye out for the workshop heaters thanks for heads up. Agree not long now till we can get out there again. Spent thr weekend in the Caravan on the Drive just so we could get our fix. Take Care
It's not a moisture meter, it's a resistance meter. Just because you get a high reading, it doesn't automatically mean there's any water there. Try putting a (dry) fork across the prongs and you'll get a really high reading!
I would NOT recommend going to someones caravan sticking them prongs into the walls if it was mine i would stick the prongs where the sun dont shine. I would reommend pinless tester only.
Hi mate I’ve bought one of these moisture meters for measuring dryness of wood but unfortunately I’ve lost the manual. Do you know what mode is for wood please? Great video.
Yeh I don't really need it but I am a sucker for gadgets and at that price I thought why not, who knows, I may be able to help someone else out with it. Thanks for commenting. Take Care James

Hello folks. New here! Caravanners from Scotland. Thanks for the review of the damp meter. Looking forward to more.
Thanks Guys, great to have you on board.

Hi James, Having one of these is good for a pre-check before the caravan has its service. You can then compare readings. Take care. Rob
Thanks Rob, I though for the price it was worth having and seems quite robust and well constructed. Thanks for commenting

What's the best sealer to use when replacing a small mushroom vent?
Hi I would normally use Sikaflex which can be purchased from Screwfix or Amazon as well as many other places, I hope that helps
