Hi Peter. Hope life is treating you well. Yes, my only previous visit was to watch Deltics thundering through. Wish I had spent more on film and less on beer.
As the LNER Class 800 and Class 801 Azumas have taken over the East Coast Main Line. The Hull Trains Class 802 Paragon have also started service but doesn’t stop at Peterborough. And the Class 755 Greater Anglia Bi-mode Flirts have also started service between Norwich & Peterborough via Ely. But soon its time to say goodbye to the Class 43 HST+Mk3 and Class 91+Mk4 stocks as they are being replaced by the Class 800 and Class 801. Not much as changed at Peterborough as these new trains have entered service. Including Thameslink Class 700. And also that man who was vaping shouldn’t be vaping at the station.

Thank you for your kind words. Within a station I often have to just take a chance and capture what I can. The lightweight camera with a good optical zoom is a huge benefit although it sometimes doesn't like vertical poles. I only know what I have got to work with when I start to review it back at home.
It should not take too long before we have had our fill of Asumas and their relentless uniformity. Next time you are in Peterborough try another platform if you want variety and some helpful gricers to keep the vapers in check.
Hi Tom. The next episode from my day in Peterborough should be ready by this afternoon. It's a look at the regional services, so a bit more variety. I saw the crowd at the north end of platform 4 when I was there. I try to avoid background chatter in my videos so I didn't linger. You can hear some at the start of the first episode. There may be fleeting glimpses of the assembled crowd in some parts, particularly the fourth which will be about the freight trains.

No doubt I am warming to the Azumas. I will certainly board on one in the future.
I have enjoyed my two journeys on the Azuma, including one from Edinburgh to London. They seem more comfortable than the GW version.
