This is from Stevie Ray's new podcast from Title Match Wrestling Network! Joined by co-host Matt Topolski, Stevie Ray talks about the night in Tennessee when he, Haku, Barbarian & the Nasty Boys went out after a WCW show. Apparently, the Nasty Boys recognized a Matt Damon who was working behind the bar. At the time Matt Damon was a young actor who had just done the film "School Ties" and was just years away from starring in "Good Will Hunting". According to Stevie Ray, the Nasty Boys "pimped" him real good that night.

Serious question why is booker commentating when stevie is a better talker
@@cvfd1987 lol ikr
Get Matt Damon on the show lol
should wrestling can still survive based on better image control what your take on that
Stevie Ray is the Charlie Murphy of wrestling! The dude is gold!
Geordan Rowley rip Charlie
YES
Hahahaha true
Why is he got to be someone else I can t just be his self and be funny
I just heard Charlie on Howard Stern from 2007, you're spot on with this. Both are great story tellers
True story. He was a bartender in Knoxville perfecting his southern accent for a movie called, "Rainmaker".
Stevie Ray and Bad News Brown are amazing story tellers.
Bad news allen pal. Get it right
Stevie Ray is one of the best story tellers. I love listening to him talk about his experiences.
stevie ray always bringing the fire to the camp site with his stories
Stevie Ray is telling Charlie Murphy's Real Hollywood Stories
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Great description!
😷😷😷😷😷😷
At the very least this stuff should be animated or played along by actors like drunk history.
Could you imagine Dave Chapelle playing Stevie Rsy and Matt Damon playing himself?
Stevie Ray's true wrestling stories.
Stevie Ray, Nasty Boys, Haku and Barbarian. Someone's going to get in a fight.
That doesn't sound like a very fun fight LoL 😢
That story about Haku and the Tongan death grip in the bar had me dying laughing!!!!
Stevie Ray is awesome. Never a dull moment and I love his delivery. Good dude!
The history That Stevie Ray shares is Priceless. Thank you!!!
Stevie masterfully described the plot of school ties. Awesome!!
Stevie Ray is fun to listen to.
Dave no
@@dannywallis5302 yes
LMAO!!! LMAO!!!!!! We need cartoons for these stories!!
Stevie Ray should have been pushed on the mic more when he was wrestling. He Gold i could listen to him all day.
He did commentary. Was excellent.
" get them yaks out the ring😂😂😂😂"
I would love to just hang out with Stevie Ray and hear his stories! This man should have a TV series based around him telling true stories.... lol
“Hey Knobbs, remember me, Will? We went to kind-e-gatten together.”
-Will Hunting
Stevie Ray and booker T 2 of the best performers ever in the business
Id like to hear matt damons side that would be pretty cool great story Stevie
That would be a Awesome scene in a movie.. He must have been studying for Good Will Hunting
@@samright4661 or he was just working and claiming it was work for a movie
I bekieve someone said it was during hisnprep for rounders @samright4661
Stevie you're the only other person I heard mention that movie, I never forgot that.
SCHOOL TIES!!
That's one of the best wrestling stories that I have heard. I didn't have cable in the UK so could only watch WWF as a kid and I never knew of Stevie Ray until much later on, but he seems to be an absolute legend!!!
Stevie Ray is a treasure trove of magnificent stories. You can't make up better stories than these.
Love stevie rays stories and point of view on things
Amazing Story! Thanks Stevie Ray!
Thats actually a badass opening shot of the City from the train tracks.... i dig it 🎉
Hanging out with Haku and the Barbarian must have been a trip.
" hits him like larry holmes "....lol
LOL
Jason Bourne got beat up by the nasty boys, wow!
Matt Damon was tagged
Nothin like the old school
Interesting comparison. Larry Holmes is from Easton PA and the Nasty Boys are from right nearby in Allentown PA.
I could listen t Stevie Ray True Hollywood Stories ALL DAY!
I laughed so hard when Stevie said the best actor in Hollywood for him is Wesley Snipes.
Great Story telling brother! Had me laughing. I believe you Stevie Ray
It’s true... to perfect his southern accent for his role as Rudy Baylor in The Rainmaker, Matt Damon tended a bar in Knoxville for free.
MrKnoxguy101 pretty cool man. Thx for the clarification 👍🏾
Damn im from Ktown and didnt know that
It wasn't for free, he got tips. Every bartender works for free wage wise. 2 dollars an hour doesn't cover taxes
Still had a shit accent for his troubles 🤣
Lol yep
This is the funniest shit I've ever heard in my life beat the guy up over a fake movie character lmao 😂.
Gold. Thanks !
Nasty Boys caved his chest in !! LMAO. The way he says it. Lol
damn i love the way Stevie tells stories ....freakin great lol!
Stevie Ray is the real deal
Stevie was in all the right places. Man, my life sucks.
Him and X-Pac....
Love how he tells stories!
This is AMAZING
Stevie Ray much respect to all you did in and out the ring. Thanks for the stories they are gold.
Love your listening to the stories. Cannot wait for your next one.👍
Your mate punches a barman who is minding his own business and you start laughing ...
What a great guy you are !
Matt Schwensen that’s why he’s a professional wrestler
Rather be the guy laughing than the guy hitting
too much of a bitch to fight forreal?
i was thinking the same thing, thay assulted a young kid and thought it was funny, what a bunch of pricks.
@@carpenter155 that makes no sense. Lots of iconic great wrestlers that wouldn't do that.
The Nasty Boyz aka Bebop & Rocksteady of wrestling.
I enjoy Stevie Ray's story.
I love hearing these old school wrestling stories
From the man himself, in an interview I read:
"Like, for The Rainmaker I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, even though we were never even going to shoot in Knoxville. I just went there alone for a month and bartended, because that's what the guy did in the book."
I might have enjoyed Booker T more in the ring, but I would much rather be friends with/listen to Stevie tell stories. He is an amazing story teller & podcaster.
I absolutely love wrestling stories.
Stevie's great. I also loved his commentary work in WCW, I wish he could come in to work at the booth on Raw or Smackdown.
😂😂love it you guys are my favorite tag team. Harlem heat.
Stevie Ray is da man !
Great story!! Thanks for sharing!
WWE Story Time couldn't top this at all!
School Ties was a great movie.
Oh Wow! They couldn't separate reality from fantasy.
Keeping it Kayfabe!!!
wow nasty boys was no joke love the podcast it real and funny out right intellectual always been a fan of harlem heat yall brothas was the hip hop of that wrestling needed
More Stevie Ray stories, please.
Love me some Stevie Ray!! I could listen to this cat tell stories all fucking day!!!!
This is the second wrestler I've heard tell the Matt Damon story and it's funny everytime.
But what movie was he doing?! I NEED TO KNOW!!! It's driving me crazy.
The Rainmaker, 1997.
Maybe someday we'll finally get Matt Damon and Ken Shamrock vs. The Nasty Boys.
I love this guys stories!
Long live *Stevie Stare* 👀
School ties is a great movie!!
School Ties was a Great Great movie.
this is one of the funniest stories I’ve ever heard...”it’s a movie, man..!”🤣 Stevie Ray is funny as fuck.👍
It sounds too crazy to be true but Damon actually did work as a bartender in Tennessee to adapt for his role in the Rainmaker. And he hadn’t become big yet but ironically this role was one right before Good Will Hunting and so this was legit not long before he started the ascension of his career. This is Amazing
DAMN!!! This guy has the craziest stories, lmao!
Matt Damon got Nastisized!
Larry Holmes had the best jab in boxing
Ike quartey had the best jab in boxing that’s why they called him bazooka. Hell they even had the bazooka jab stat on fight night. Just my opinion brothers.
In his prime Holmes was one of the great heavyweights, no question.
Larry Holmes was the only boxer to ever refuse signing an autograph for me. He was a real !$%&?!
Next biggest assh*le was Roy Jones Jr. He wouldn't sign either until a group of 4 or 5 white chicks approached us then he pretended to be a totally different person. Oh well, I got my autograph....thanks ladys lol.
Lennox Lewis
Best jab I’ve seen...Antonio Tarver in that Rocky movie
My brother and I - we were young white boys in the south growing up loving wrestling. Tag teams were our thing; our mom - rest her soul - got us into wrestling and we started out loving the Windhams as our favorite -- then, we liked the Road Warriors for a time.
My folks split, and my brother went to live with my mom, and we finally got to hang out again in around 1995 -- and we found that we both loved wrestling -- WCW was our brand because -- you know, grew up in Tampa; WCW is what we were about --
But when Parker brought you guys out on Nitro -- my brother and I were fans instantly. We'd liked the Steiners -- because they were brothers -- but damn, you and Booker T didn't take NOTHING off of ANYONE.
But unlike Ricky and his brother - you guys were AMAZING wrestlers - the Harlem Hangover -- the kenpo style side kicks and that hatchet kick across the back of the neck -- but hell, you know what ya'll did.
You were like the new version of the Briscoes (Jerry and Jack - not the RoH guys) -- badasses who didn't take shit or the Windhams in their prime.
You and Booker T on Monday NITRO brought me and my brother together again, man. Love your show.
And, having done some training -- I can attest to Jerry Sags' living the Nasty life all day every day -- he never popped me, but he did slap around some local dudes in SECW back in the late 90s when I was starting out training for lipping off about 'Public Enemy' or something.
Old school dudes don't play - is the moral of the story. :D
I'm from North Tampa champ !
Nasty Sensation!
This is great lolol!
Great story Stevie Ray this story had me cracking up.lol
He is correct, UTK is in Knoxville. UTC is in Chattanooga. So there's two UT's. But one is indeed in Knoxville.
This had to have been late 95 to early 96. The story Stevie Ray is talking about the Nasty Boys beating up Matt Damon haha
I love Stevie Rays storys! Lmao
Sorry for Matt Damon, but I just could not stop laughing at this! LMAO
this story is freaking bonkers but the reaction to him when he said Matt Damon is priceless. So hilarious. I would have been that way too.
The way he played his gimmick, most thought he was an idiot. But damn, the guy shows how good he was at getting into character by the way he talks when he's shooting.
Stevie, Haku, Nasty Boys in a bar fight!
im going through all these vids. his stories are great! lol
that’s bizarre and hilarious haha
This was 1997. School Ties came out in ‘97.
AWESOME stories man...I have to take your word for it...wasn't there
Brian knobs has been mad since he went to the dentist when he was 4
Lost one tooth and his brain cell fell out! 😵
Stevie Ray you rock brotha
True story Matt Damon was doing voice research to play lawyer Rudy Baylor in the rainmaker so he volunteered to be a bartender in K-town
John 0311 where’s k-town
@@icey32 Knoxville
I was just wondering why the hell he would be bar tending in Tennessee.
Jimmy Kimmel ordered the hit.
Ha🤣
Lol A+ comment
Great story as always!
*BRENDAN FRASER hates that everyone calls him Brandon Frazier.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂
YOU were supposed to hate the Nasty Boys.....best tag team heels of all time....HANDS DOWN
I meet Stevie way back in WCW...Him and Booker was the coolest dudes ever...
Stevie Ray and new Jack are best storytellers of all time
Darren Marrero agree
While Stevie is telling an interesting story, he's doing it poorly.
I need for them to do it again only this time, for the Nasty Boyz to say " that's the guy, the one that ruined Batman" and then have them kick the shit out of Ben Affleck"
"My man matt patowski"
Wow what a great story. The worlds a funny place fact is always better than fiction love it,i wonder whose the first to ask matt on camera for his reaction/story if he remembers i bet hes honest about it.
Omg freaken hilarious. Saggs got some heavy hands
🔥🔥🔥
This is the best shit ever🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂😂😂
Stevie ray is a good dude good story
