This is from Stevie Ray's brand new podcast from Title Match Wrestling Network! Joined by co-host Matt Topolski, Stevie Ray recalls the show leading up to WCW Fall Brawl 1993, where the debuting Shockmaster (aka Tugboat, Typhoon in WWF) fell flat on his face!
This was on live tv too. What was going through Stevie Ray's mind when this went down? Also, did Sid Vicious call what was going to happen ahead of time?
We've all heard this story 1000x but Stevie Ray was actually feet from it! More stories just like this on Stand Up For Greatness!

To think Stevie Ray was there for 2 classic botches the Shockmaster debut and when his brother Booker-T dropped the N-bomb on Hulk Hogan haha & both were live lol 😂
The "I told you" from Sid is so much funnier now 😂
Why didn’t he mention the part where Ric Flair turns into a cardboard cut out??
Stevie Ray is just tickled and cracking up over this whole Shockmaster thing. And I can't blame him. That incident, along with Titus O'Neil's slip, is among the most unintentionally hilarious thing caught on live TV
I started laughing even harder when Sid tried to sell it
You can hear Ole Anderson laughing before he starts doing his evil Shockmaster voice.
Even if he didn't fall through I still would have laughed. That Dr. Claw sounding voice from Inspector Gadget was hilarious.
When Flair said ohh boy 😂
Kind of ironic that the guy fell flat on his face in a promo building up for the FALL brawl.
Sid Vicious could've prevented the whole thing hahahahaha!
"He fell on his fucking arse"
When Davey Boy said "He fell flat on his arse" lol with his Manchester accent classic.
Never would I have thought that Stevie Ray of all people would provide me with countless great shoots
"Clash of Champions" is what Stevie was thinking of.
Stevie Ray is just the coolest cat in the building. He’d be a blast to hang out with.
So that was Sid that said "I told ya'." He tried to save it though.
I met Fred a year ago at mcw tribute to the legends and he makes jokes about it now, he was truly a wonderful person to meet.
Stevie Ray is cool
At the Rhodes home that night.
