I like how that episode is Tobey’s first appearance. I love it when Michael Scott kicked him out of the conference room after he made a joke about sitting in Indian style.
And the actor that played Toby had zero prior acting experience and was only supposed to be in this one episode. But the producer liked his character so much that he became one of the regulars around the office.
i miss the OFFICE😭😭😭 , this show got me thru some tough times it didnt matter if i had a bad day or a good day i still laughed and enjoyed late night eps of the OFFICE
Seriously, it is doing the same for me. Just putting it on is taking my mind off sad times, as it's just so fantastically funny, I can really lose myself in it.
Meh, not really. 2005 was still relatively normal. Just the standard run of the mill diversity quota stuff. Nothing like the authoritarian diversity tyranny that exists today.
@@WhiteBloggerBlackSpecsI don’t recall it being controversial in 2005. It was written by a 25 year old BJ Novak and praised by critics. He was nominated for a writers guild Award. That episode today wouldn’t make it past a writer’s mind, much less produced AND aired.
Ive watched the whole office series over 100 times. Not exagerrating. I started 5 years ago when i was going through a tough phase and now i still watch it every day, especially to fall asleep. I just love michael and dwight so much, they are my comfort people
This show hardly makes it into the consciousness of audiences in the UK, although I suppose it has been aired here at some stage. It’s currently available on Netflix, but I rarely ever come across anyone who has got an opinion of it, or even watched it. And yet it is so brilliant, so funny and, at times, so touching that I can’t understand why that is. The show has helped me get through some pretty bad times, it’s up there with the best.
Interesting. I might have guessed John’s favorite episode was “Office Olympics”. Jim was the brainchild of that major sporting event 😄 and everyone looked like they were having a blast. “Diversity Day” is absolutely hilarious too.
I was expecting him to say Dinner Party since the scene where Michael pulls the tiny tv forward is the one scene John couldn't keep a straight face while recording.
remember guys, identity theft isnt a joke
So who's Iconic1x
That was my favorite episode
Millions of families suffer every year
@@Idiot_TaylorsVersion MICHAEL!
Also remember that Ryan started the fire
“Oh man, am I a woman” joke was unexpected and so funny 😂
You remember that....😂 😂 😂 😂 😆
That was so good! And Pam was all “you maybe might not be a good driver??”
yeahh lol Dwight's intrusive thoughts won
😂😂Yeah
Best line!
Diversity Day was the reason I continued watching the Office lol
Was the pilot rly that bad?
@@samholt9177 Not really, it is a good start for the show, but Diversity Day convinced me that it was gonna be a great show
@alexulacio911 Yeah. For me it's always the 2nd episode to make me decide weather I want to keep going.
Same man!
Office Olympics was the one for me. Being familiar w/ the original series, only the cast of “our” Office made me want to watch S-2.

I couldn’t stop laughing when Stanley got the “black” name tag 😂
Can't believe no one talks about how kelly slapped Michael in that episode. Kelly got there before Pam.
That is my favourite scene
The Indian
Very much deserved slaps
@@stepsystole5075yeah, not only my favorite of the episode, probably my favorite of the whole show, or one of my favs

The Office is on a very short list of things I wish I could watch again for the first time.

How about some spaghehhhtti

Nice, Dwight.
And it rhymes lmao
This had me rolling

That was improvised too

I would agree, it’s probably the best second episode of any show I’ve seen that just hooks you up with the show really early on

My favorite Office Episode is the one when Tim hides Gareth's stapler in jello, that was hilarious the first time I watched it.
So the pilot, the one the US show also did as John says here
stayed for the cookie after that
It set the tone for the rest of the season/show. It’s akin to Chapppelle Show’s very first episode with Clayton Bigsby.
The one where he bows to Kelly and says "thankyou Namaste!" has me dying every time i watch it 😅😅
Man, the makeup person went a little far on this one.
@nickxero2740k
Omg they sure did lollll
Jimbo…..Ayyyyyy!
the greatest episode of course
Jim's teeth in the office vs this interview...

'The Office' proved offensive jokes are the best kind of jokes :D
Dwight: has the Asian card.
Pam: Don’t mean any offense but you might be bad at driving.
Dwight: Awh man! Am I a woman?

“Do you want a cookie cookie ?”
Normally yanks take something good and then ruin it but in the case of the office you guys made it legendary
I’ll never forget when Michael found out the guy’s name was Mr.Brown 😂
Ah the good old days.
