Who wants guests entering through the kitchen in a house like this? "The neighbours are just jealous." What a goof. The After - the colours and the furniture - are blah.

The stain glass window looked a lot better than I had expected. It did flood the stairwell area with light (and looked way more elegant than frosted glass would have). I’m not sure what the kitchen entryway will look like though. That could be a turn off.
Also the upstairs could easily have included the en suite bathroom or at the very least a large walk-in dressing room. Not really the best place to put an office.
I’m not sure why they painted such vivid colours for the girl’s bedroom. That room really didn’t show well.
The kitchen and the addition did work well. I think it’s great that they kept a rustic table rather than go for the overused island trope.
The backyard is fantastic and it looks like they’ll squeak by and get an offer in the price range they’re looking at.
His commentary on the neighbours’ reactions was pretty humourous! I mean if I were a neighbour and I knew someone was flipping the house next-door, I would be pretty annoyed with the inconvenience. Much better for him to speak to them and make sure everything is done by the book including the skiff in the street.

@@NYCHeartandSoul The stained-glass window is gorgeous. I wish I had it, but people would probably rather have an ensuite (who wants to stay in their bedroom night and day?) and a door into the living area than a fancy window. That living room looks like circa 1985 but with the weird Beetlejuice fireplace, and all that cheap, old-fashioned pine bedroom furniture that looks like it came from a junk store - ugh. The kitchen is nice.
