- The Bosch 800 is one of the most popular and expensive dishwashers with a reputation for reliability and longevity. But the 800 has had some issues with the watertap error, leaking, and install issues. Has Bosch addressed these issues with their new 800 series?

My 800 is 4 years old has had one issue,a big one,the E07 code which costs over $500 to correct. A $1200 dishwasher needs a major repair at only 4 years.
Dang. What does that error code point to?
@@poodledad The Zeolite circulation fan. To get to the fan they have to completely remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. I just had the service tech here this morning and it took about an hour to repair. I was lucky that he found that the plastic tube that goes from the base of the washer up the back to the top was partially melted and had to be replaced, there’s a recall for this part so that was not charged against me and the call out fee which was $165,or my bill would have been over $700. At that point I would have just bought a new washer. I had kept my 800 in as clean a shape as I could so it looked very nice. Apparently if the zeolite doesn’t get enough air flow it overheats and melts the plastic tube. My zeolite chamber was replaced too. All the parts that were replaced now are covered under a 1 year warranty if there is another failure. I hope I get another 5-10 years out of this.
@@fw1421 Dang that's wild. I have not heard of that issue.
Great vid helpful
Glad you think so!
Brother what would you get? This or the whirlpool WDT750SAKZ
Well I'm not sure about the whirlpool option, but personally I wouldn't buy the Bosch. This bosch that I reviewed in this video was brand new and the homeowner is not happy with it after a few months. She keeps getting a "clean filter" error, which is weird.
Well shit. I just had an appliance repair guy here today to figure out what's wrong with my 8 year old Whirlpool dishwasher. Long story short, I'm replacing it. When I asked him what brand I should go with he said Bosch for longevity. Now I don't know what to do lol.
Appliances are quite the crapshoot. I think Bosch had a bad batch of the 800s. Maybe they've fixed the door issue but my friend who bought the one in this video has been getting "clean filter" error and it doesn't seem to go away no matter how often she cleans the filter. Hard to know what to recommend.
@@poodledad I'm going with the 500 series. The SHP65CM2N. Thanks.
I see it’s on sale at my Lowe’s for 999 is it worth it now?
May want to get that extended warranty! Which I normally don’t buy but lots of folks have had issues with these. Maybe they’ve fixed it but I’m not sure. So far my friend who bought the new one hasn’t had issues. My issues showed up right after the 1 year warranty expired.
@@poodledad they have it on sale for 999 and the 5 year warranty with Lowe’s is 157. Or should I do the kitchenaid is on sale for 799
@@brandon32689 Hard for me to say. Appliances seem like such a crapshoot. I think Kitchenaid is a good brand and that would save you a lot.
@@poodledad we went ahead and got the 800 ended up getting it for 949 and 150 for a 5 year warranty from Lowe’s got it put in last night hopefully it serves us well.

Model # ?
Not sure, I should have jotted that down. Sorry.
Sorta confused here. Your title seems to imply you have answers to your questions. Did you post the video with no answers to share with us about whether there have been improvements? Feeling dense - maybe you were asking in earnest! Thanks!
Well jury is still out on this brand new one but my friend did call that she is already getting an error code on her Bosch after just 2 months. But that code isn't related to the door seal. It's about cleaning the filter which she says she has done multiple times. The big question for me is whether they've addressed the door seal issues that can lead to stopping mid cycle or the watertap error.
