@@yui7905 now its 391 and we have a bew very talented super athletic spiker which is yuji nishida god its been a long time since japan get a powerful spiker
I kinda wanna put in my thoughts to clarify this matter better... basically Shiratorizawa coach doesn't think Hinata is an actual good player for the youth training camp for promising Miyaji first years. Yes Hinata does score a LOT which is undeniable, but the reason for that is because its from Kageyama's abilities due to his natural talent. Height and Power isn't even the main criteria for the selection, it partially is but the main idea is: are they individually good players who can bring something to the table on their own? Without Kageyama as his setter, Hinata is a below average player, his receives, serves, height and power is terrible, and his blocking is mediocre. A rare case of someone who scores a lot doesn't necessarily mean they are substantially good. Tsukishima is invited because on his own he stands out among in the pool of first year players, while Kageyama just stands out among everyone due to being fundamentally good in a well rounded way (tsukishima is like the uncrowned kings while kageyama is a GoM level of talent). I kinda liked this arc because it conveys the true meaning of what it really means to be a good player, imo.
That’s not true. In fact the 2m tall guy got picked specifically for his height. He’s worse than Hinata. But he can learn to play better, which is the entire point of the camp. Even without height it’s undeniable that Hinata’s physical abilities are far superior to most people. His receives improved in that week itself. Hinata isn’t good because he scores points, even Kageyama noticed that in their first match, he didn’t score a lot of points but he realised the potential in his abilities. And actually it ignores his strengths which makes him the ultimate decoy. There’s more to volleyball than just spikes and blocks. I’m sure there’s a couple of good points in there somewhere but I can’t remember what I even wrote o.o
@@teddyeastside8051 Hyakuzawa wasn't worse than Hinata. Pretty sure if I had to choose between a 2m guy vs a shrimp without Kageyama as a setter, then i'd pick Hyakuzawa. The camp picks 1st years that are good/above their 1st year peers/stand out/definitely have potential. Hinata's physical abilities isn't really superior than other people, he's just faster comparatively speaking, and his receives didn't improve a lot during the camp week, only starting to after tho.
JCHman He was 100% worse than Hinata. By season 4 Hinata could work with any setter, he just works even better with Kageyama. His athleticism was miles ahead of Hyakuzawa. His entire range of abilities were ahead of him. His knowledge of the game was ahead of him. Hinata is faster, he has a better leap making his jump equal to people like Asahi before even learning how to jump properly like he does in the latest game so who knows what his highest jump is now, his ability to see clearly when he’s in a spiking position. If you don’t think he’s physically superior to most players aside from pure height, you’re crazy. His actual receives didn’t improve but his ability to read receives improved which actually is part of receiving. The camp only picked big tall players because they could be strong. That’s not how any sport works. The camp picked players who had potential to play big and strong not actually play volleyball but that makes no sense. Shiratorizawa got lucky that they got Ushijima because for all their talk their team was exceedingly average without a generational ace with a canon on his arm.
For the last 3 seasons they kept Furudate previous style, which looks more like what was drawn in the first 100 chapters, but they changed the lead character designer and decided to update the anime's artstyle to better fit furudate's current style. I personaly prefer this one since the caracters' faces are looking more like teens, before you would get either adult like or child like some times.
@@labradog05 As i said, i fits the author's art style way better than the previous one so it objectively is better at adapting Haikyuu's manga. And am i not allowed to like something btw ? You say its not "good", but where are you arguments ? And is looking cartoonish inherently bad ?

one of the best sport animes i ever watched together with haikyuu, slam dunk, hajime no ippo and run with the wind! anime has some great ways to make every sport interesting and exciting!
They did indeed change the character art/ designs a little bit. Apparently they made Hinata and Kageyama more muscular, more chiselled and more serious as they grow. But truly it has been bothering me all season. I'm sure I will get used to it 😫 eventually.... Otherwise, I am enjoying the season so far for sure 🥰 🏐❤

AHHH how did i miss this!! I've been waiting for you guys to start season 4! And the analysis at the were almost spot on too! Love your reactions, keep it up!
I know this video is a little older but I'll still write it down anyways in case you see it! When Kageyama was reading the directions Takeda-sensei wrote, he was having a little trouble reading some of the Kanji. So, he was trying to read the Furigana on top of it, or the small hiragana written above the kanji characters. There are thousands upon thousands of Kanji characters in Japanese, to even be considered literate you have to understand the 2,000 common characters. Even if you're fluent in Japanese, you won't know how to read all of them. So they have the Furigana as a reading aid!
Ball boy is pretty much the bottom of the position ladder. Takeda-sensei pointed out thats its best to start at the bottom with the proper steps in order to grow and climb up to the top. I'm assuming without reading the manga that the Shiratorizawa coach wanted him to start from there. Which is why he didnt want Hinata to join in no matter how much potential he showed. Throughout the season he definitely learned a lot by watching from behind, above and beside these First/Third years plays. Which is also why Ukai said dont underestimate the potential of ball boy or something similar. I'm excited for season 4 Part II coming soon since the manga readers say its going to be REALLY good.
