Agreed! It’s annoying😂 and I say this as someone who has done many big chops. Hair is not just hair. My hair grows pretty fast. I’ve never gotten to waist length. The longest it’s gotten is past bra strap. Now, I’m back on my journey to waist length (while straight).
OMG! This is by far one of the best videos I've seen. It's been so frustrating being natural since 2012 and stuck at collar bone length. No one told me most of these things and I learned the hard way. Thank you for sharing
You are so right! I cut my dreadlocks years ago because I wanted my hair short. I had three years of growth and I cut it AGAIN and the regret is real, LOL. It’s growing but at times I miss the length I previously had. Now my issue is dryness…it may be from the shampoo I’m using and now I need to find another shampoo. Thanks for the tips beautiful lady❤ You remind me of Aaliyah and Halle Berry.
I recently cut my dreadlocks and it's been a journey rediscovering my loose natural hair. Dryness was an issue, but what I can say helps a lot is preshampoo treatments, gentle shampoos, and deep conditioning. I use mielle pomegranate range whenever I wear my hair out and that agrees with my hair. It's very moisturizing. Shea Moisture deep hydration mask is sooooo good too. I used the shampoo and mask in that and it was not a disappointment. Doing a hair porosity test first is key tho. That way you know if to do the LOC or LCO method and whether to use heat when you deep condition, how sensitive your hair is to heat, how to comb your hair, what to do with your hair wet or dry etc. That's the most important!
I’m currently growing mine back out and I’m so excited. Using these tips has helped with the process so much. It’s past my shoulders and it’ll be bra strap length in no time. And girl you’re stunning by the way 🫶🏽💕
These tips work, even for someone like me with bsl relaxed hair. I have to admit that it sucks that I don’t feel like I can really enjoy my hair though for fear of breakage, so my hair is ALWAYS in a long term protective style outside of the times I need to wash and deep condition my hair.
Bravo!!! Very Nice. Thanks for creating and posting this video. I have come across the same information and had the same intuitive pulls and now for the first time ever my is a little pass my shoulder (when stretched). And I’m a 4C girlie (insert praise break)
You’re very detailed I like that ❤ ❤ but girl I have cut my hair every year since the age of 12 and I’ve done different things to it . Recently in May I cut my hair into a pixie cut, but ima braid girly, I love doing box braids on myself and eventually I started to miss them , and this time I told myself I’m going to grow my hair out just see it at waist length , just to see if I can grow my hair to waist length. The longest my hair has been is shoulder length or mid back. Right now I only have 4 inches of hair and I’m trying to learn my hair. 😊
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing all your tips! Can you please do a video on what you were about to say about our hair being antennas(?) or whatever it was you were about to get into? Very interested to hear more on that!❤
Girl this is right on time!! I was just saying I hate I listened when mfs was saying that’s for white girls, that’s not for us … products likes tresemme garnier fructis and eden
same girl… in high school my hair was waist length so i know its possible. but 3 years ago i cut it all off. regretted it. now its been at my shoulders for awhile. its hard to tell if its growing because its curly.
Gurl... first of all you are STUNNING! Your hair is gorgeous ❤ secondly, the tape measure comment killed me 😂😂 I am just beginning my hair journey from a shaved head. Thank you for these suggestions ❤️
I put organic shea butter in my hair then do four braids on my whole head and not touch it for a week till wash day , I also oil the ends and the scalp 2-3 times in the week but I’m still getting slow results and i don’t know what to do . My hair is armpit length

@@sussybaka2.026 you dont have to cut it! that means it’s probably still healthy and isnt breaking much! I was just saying a lot of the time dying it can cause extra breakage but if not thats great, just keep the ends healthy
Just don't dye it again! My hair was dyed honey blonde and when it grew back I dyed it back black and left it alone. I just dyed it back my natural hair color and don't dye it again and condition condition condition.
Girl got that 90s hip pop beauty 😭😭💝
doesnt she? literally the face of the era!
Thank you for saying hair is not just hair because I’m tired of hearing people say that, we work too hard to have patience and yrs to grow hair.
of course! a lot of time and discipline☺️

People say that in response to people judging when someone wants to CUT their hair lol
"Hair is not just hair you've got to treat it with respect your hair will thank you and your hair will grow, I agree. Your hair is gorgeous.
Yesss!! Thank you so much! Im sure yours is too💕
I be talking to my hair , I be thanking God for my hair !
Hair is part of our personality and it's for this reason I never say it's just hair because I know it's more than that.

how long have you been growing it?
@bloomy27 Consider extending your wash days. Try putting tea tree oil infused with a carrier oil to keep your scalp fresh in between washes.
You are such a beautiful woman 🔥🤍 god bless you
aw thank you so much you too☺️💕
Where did you get your bangles from?
beauty supply store 😌
Yup. Cut my hair after a break up when all I ever wanted was long hair
Symbol of a fresh start! Kudos to you
Yes the drier and curlier thenhair is the harder ot is to keep it.
Thanks for the information! Your hair is gorgeous ❤
What ancestral methods/products do you use?
Looking at ancestry/DNA can not always help, especially when you're mixed race. That's when you need to work with your hair type to help with the growing process. Enjoy the journey.
youre right! hair type ultimately is most important! thank you
It’s a starting point.
So cute
I was dyeing my hair that’s what damaged it and I can’t remember the month o stopped and just started caring for it but from that to now it grew a lot
I do everything right and I've been stuck at shoulder length for 10 years! 🤷🏾♀️
What is ur routine you did to grow your hair? Oils? Thanks...
I got you! Video coming soon😊
but yes i used some natural oils especially rosemary oil
What do I do if I already dyed it, I don’t want to cut my hair again it’s growing back fast 😭
@@sussybaka2.026 you dont have to cut it! that means it’s probably still healthy and isnt breaking much! I was just saying a lot of the time dying it can cause extra breakage but if not thats great, just keep the ends healthy
@@mariyajade what if your hair is frizzy because of the dye?
Just don't dye it again!
My hair was dyed honey blonde and when it grew back I dyed it back black and left it alone.
I just dyed it back my natural hair color and don't dye it again and condition condition condition.
My hair grows so slowly 😢
My youtube algorithm for some reason knows that I cut all my hair off yesterday
I have always believed straight hair is the easiest to grow. They literally do nothing to it
You give me Aaliyah vibes
We still don’t know what products you use. You just talked about ancestry….
