Confidently incorrect chat lol. You can survive in the warp, there's a whole novel of marines doing a mission in the warp. They even find a group of surviving non chaos marines on a demon world.
The warp is what the writer needs it to be, but ultimately it takes the form of what the observer can enforce, should their willpower be strong enough.
I like that the final boss just lies constantly. Like, even though Titus knows that he's a liar, the entire run up to the Necron tomb is just him fucking with you in increasingly complex ways (culminating in talking in your buddy's voice) In the final bossfight he stops the fight halfway through to be like "lol ur friends are ded" even though there's no way Titus would believe him. He's just all about bullshittin Hell, even he claims that he's going to leave halfway through the final battle because he's 'too busy', and leave you to the giant demon. But then he immidiately comes back. And when the demon takes damage, Imaruth's health-bar goes down. That was him all along, it was just a big illusion.
The thing with Warhammer games is that they don't need to reinvent the wheel with gameplay or even story, they just need to make sure they nail the feeling of whatever it is your playing. Space Marine 2? Perfectly nails the brotherhood coolness of fighting alongside your brothers. It's similar to playing Battlefront 2 and just blowing up a bunch of Clankers as Clones and just being one of the boys

@@dogsoldier123 no. More like big daddy e, is probably going to be the new 5th chaos god, and the only thing that can stop the shadow of the warp (the nids) that even the warp fears, but bc of humanities blind devotion, they are keeping him unknowingly locked to the throne, and if the necrons or the nids take out everything before humanity can get over themselves, it's all for nothing. I feel like a survival horror iteration of a space marine-type game could work really well too. Necron and eldar enemy types could work well, and it could finish off with night lords or emperor's children. Sounds a bit like Deathwing, man I wish that game was better. Problem with a game featuring a Space Marine is that it's not really a horror game if you are one. I do wish for the same though, the vibe of the Original Darktide trailer was awesome.
It’s pretty easy to explain. Nothing about those games actually went out of style with consumers. Yet strangely each time people see these games they flock to them and speak of that era as a compliment to the game. Must be a fluke. Definitely won’t happen again.

Yes, variable auto-aim settings.
