How did you do with yours?
I bought one a few weeks ago too, mine came threaded 🪡 and I was super glad it did because I’m clueless. BUT today …. 😭…. One thread ended and I am now looking for how to re-thread. I’m so lost 😅. After a few videos… still no luck 😅.
Edit- mine is a different model. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much. I’ve just bought a Jaguar 735D, never having used an overlocker before. The manual is rubbish and there are no videos for my particular model. I felt totally at sea. This machine is very similar and your clear instructions with close-up views have helped enormously.

I have just watched your video to help me with threading my new and first overlocker. It’s a Jaguar 2015 DF. I couldn’t have done it without your excellently informative instructional video ! Your instructions were so clear and well demonstrated that it was a cinch! Thank you so much as I found the illustrations in the manual very poor. You’re video will be my go to. Thanks again. Brenda, a VERY grateful newbie to overlocking

Hi Trish. I recently bought this very same machine, and as a first time owner/user for me, your video was very helpful and clear, when I had to re-thread it after my lower looper spool ran out (my machine came ready threaded). This was a daunting task but I watched your tutorial and followed your instructions and managed to thread up very easily. Thank you. 👏👏
I’ve been sewing for 25yrs plus as a hobby on and off, but never had an overlocker before. My daughter is expecting her first baby in two weeks so I’ve been busy making baby clothes for my new grandson. My overlocker finished these items very professionally and I am getting more confident with it now. 🥰

Helpful, thanks. I think Jaguar are also 'Frister & Rossmann'.. My Mum had a F&R sewing machine for over 30 years, she used it for her business too, making stuffed children's toys. She never had any trouble with it. Have have a Janome sewing machine but I'm not looking at just Janome overlockers. I quite like the look of Jaguar overlockers. I know it doesn't have a free arm, but for children's clothing but they probably wouldn't stretch around a free arm anyway, so it's not 'essential' for me to only consider free arm overlockers. I'll take a look at your website, thank you x

Hi Su, forty-odd years ago the Frister and Rossmann range used to be manufactured by Jaguar, have a look at the Jaguar 489, a good solid machine compared to a lot of other brands, you will not be disappointed.

Hi, great demo for threading. I think I kept forgetting the little hook before actually threading the needle. I do have another question: How do I change the width of the overlock seam, and can I use regular sewing machine needles to replace one that broke whilst trimming quite a thick edge?

I've just watched your video for a Jaguar overlocker and I'm very impressed by the simplicity of threading it. I currently have a Brother overlocker and the lower looper thread keeps breaking. I've re-threaded so many times and it's no better. I'm wondering if the Jaguar 489 would be a good replacement for the Brother, which I've had for a number of years?

Thanks Trish for showing this video clip.
I had had an 087DW model, ages ago but never use it as I do not know how to use it. 😟
After seeing your clip two times, I tried on mine and I can’t open the left hand side part (at 3’:08” from the video clip). I just wonder as if the model 087DW that has similar functions to the model that you showed on the clip?
Please advise. Greatly appreciated for your help.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Belinda.

I bought a Jaguar 099 last year. 9/10 the thread will break, sometimes I get to sew and then it breaks, sometimes it breaks immediately. I have spent days threading carefully. I am using good quality threads. I have sent it back and it was returned saying there is no fault. I am at the end of my tether, just can’t understand why.
