I'm a bourbon drinker and recently decided to try sipping tequila.....and I am now a believer. For all you bourbon lovers out there, give it a try. It's a very different experience, but tequila is VERY easy drinking for those of us accustomed to 100+ proof whiskey. I've also found this to be true when sipping rum. I still, however, cannot stomach Scotch for some reason... Thanks for the great videos fellas
I prefer good rum (foursquare) and tequila (el Tesoro, fortaleza, Ocho, cazcanes) over similarly nice expressions of bourbon. They’re all good spirits, but tequila in particular is the most impressively delicious to me. Like you, I can’t stomach scotch. 😂✌🏻
I give this one to Dylan, again. Furthermore, with so many great Blancos out there, I will need to first sample Cazcanes at bar, before I buy it at that price.
Not even close in my opinion... Cazcanes uses Autoclaves to cook their piñas at a low pressure... Fortaleza uses the ancestral traditional method and slow cooks their Piñas in Stone Brick Ovens, uses the Tahona instead of a roller mill... Although i must admit its a great product but in my opinion nothing can compare to slow cooking in Stone Brick Ovens🙏
This brand is tasty but way too expensive. I've heard the arguments about how well it's made, etc. but In Denver the blanco is around $90 and the reposado is $105 before tax. Is it really more than twice as good as, for example, Tapatio? I bought Tapatio blanco yesterday for $34.
I actually Sell this brand to Bars, Restaurants, Nightclubs & Liquor Stores. There are 6 different types including Blanco #9 which notes Parmesan Cheese and there is a #10 Still Strength.
I’d try anything they recommend. El Tesoro Blanco is my favorite so far. Those guys rated it #1 Blanco in a blind taste test. #2 was Tequila Ocho I got that too. #3 was G4 #4 was Fortaleza #5 was something else.
This is one where I would argue the Anejo is a better buy/value than the Blanco, at least relative to Fortaleza. I see it for about $30 over the respective Fortaleza's, and I am thinking the Cazcanes Anejo matches up better. And I think word is definitely out on the Fortaleza (at least in my market). I haven't seen one on a shelf since the spring. Weirdly, this is easier to find at this point.
I recently got into sippin tequila (because of yall and my fam from Arandas, Jalisco) my favorite bottle you guys haven't reviewed yet is Olmeca Altos Reposado. I'd love to see you guys taste and review it if possible. I'm in Chino Hills and I can't haven't been able to find the clear winners like Arrete, Fortaleza or G4 in my area. Sorry for my dumbass grammar I been drinking Jim Beam 🍻
Dutch swirling his glass was the weirdest thing I've ever seen regarding the viscosity of spirits. No legs. Just uniformly sinking back down into the glass, like a bubble popping in slow motion. I don't know what to think about it. I'm guessing it's a good thing, but I've just never seen that before.
Great content guys. I'm curious about the grading scale that Jules still stumbles over, was the scoring system you use here, the same as the old channel? I've tried to find some of the older videos, but it looks like that content/channel may have been removed. I enjoy streaming (at work) your tastoff (TM) videos, and blind comparison. Cheers gents, and here's to hoping you all have a happy holiday.
Thanks! This is not the same as the old channel (The Bourbon Guild). This is 100 points over 10 categories. The old one was 10 points over 5 categories.
I have the anejo and it's pretty bad for the price. It tastes like a sub par bourbon. I would not recommend spending $130+ on this at all. Nothing close to Fortaleza at allllllll.
No I think your mistaken it’s actually a succulent. All Cactus are succulents but not all succulent’s are 🌵. There is a few factors that indicate a cactus over a succulent. One is the tiny hairs near the thorns all cactus will have them. Some small some all over 💯
Cazcanes is nasty and severely overpriced. I bought a bottle of Cazcanes Anejo 7, and it tastes like artificial pancake syrup with a gasoline aftertaste. I have given it to non-tequila loving friends, and they ask for something else after a few sips. Never again Cazcanes.
They have an issue with the synthetic corks tainting the bottles. Really unfortunate - we've compared a couple of bottles and it is definitely an issue - but they don't seem to have it resolved yet.

man you guys should’ve at least 100k subs with this quality of work! keep up the great work and thanks for always tasting tequilita!
I give this one to Dylan, again. Furthermore, with so many great Blancos out there, I will need to first sample Cazcanes at bar, before I buy it at that price.
I"ve had G4, Fortaleza, Siete Leguas. Just had Cazcanes No.7 blanco today, and IMO, it beats them all. Thanks for reviewing this product.
Did you blind taste them together?

How do you feel cazcanes compares to the camarena line of tequilas like tequila ocho, g4, or el tesoro?
Please look into the history of the indigenous people who became known as the Cazcanes. I think you will be more than very surprised.
Spread the Additive free awareness my dudes!

Never had Tapatio, but Cazcanes is the best!! Worth the price
Just got my bottle of #10 still strength. It's pretty awesome. Expensive, but highly recommended. Try it if you can find it.
Is it smooth?
Found some Fortaleza tonight $50. Big price difference
Damn. I'veseen it at 45-55 around me. Will deff check it out now.
Thank you as always!!

Thank you for your honest reviews on this tequila guys ! 😋🥃
Assumes you don't watch the last minute showing bloopers an the funniest parts so sad

Man doing God's work

Bout $25 more than Fortaleza Blanco. The #10 Still strength is a good upgrade. Hard to find actually. Used to be common at TW but now only at OT.
I’d try anything they recommend.
El Tesoro Blanco is my favorite so far.
Those guys rated it #1 Blanco in a blind taste test.
#2 was Tequila Ocho
I got that too.
#3 was G4
#4 was Fortaleza
#5 was something else.
I thought #1 was the Ocho and #2 was the Tesoro.
@@Best_Served_Neat_On_Ice You are correct.

Just got into trying to taste better tequilas than mains stream can’t find fortaleza or cazcanes anywhere lol
@@wav3127 You can also try Tapatio (maybe the best value brand), Siete Leguas, G4, Cascahuin, or Tequila Ocho among others. Cheers.
The anejo and joven is sooooio delish
Finally a new tequila episode 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Y’all were clearly testing the new, nice Dillon to see if he would break. Dillon strong like bull 💪
Amazing video as always.
Just one thing. Agave/Maguey are not from the Cactaceae Family.
Saludos.
Autoclave tequilas don't come close to brick oven tequilas in my opinion.
Completely disagree.
I agree.

Jules: "Rub it some more Dillon" 😂
The only issue I have against Cazcanes is the price. Very expensive in my opinion.
Hey what do you fellas think about Cazcanes's other bottles: anejo, repo? also good?
May you guys please do a drink through with El Tesoro and another one with Cazcanes
Go Team USA 🇺🇸.....Also...I Iove the sticker
When you say good what is the criteria for gold versus like if it got a 70 would it be silver?
Where in the world did you find it for 70$? That distillery is my next distillery I’ll be visiting in the spring 😊
Right I just bought that at total wine and it was 89
I am not sure the “with less hate” permeated through the entire video.
I read the title and…yes! Is the answer

Yeah I agree that was weird yet cool
You guys should do a Siete Leguas run through! Def a heavyweight tequila brand
#7 is Decent
#9 is Good
#10 is Best
Amazing video and hilarious as always
The No 7 is the first tequila Colin made about 5 years ago. Find yourself a bottle of the No 9 and Still Strength Blanco.
My bad the100 proof No 9 was the first one that was released.
Cazcanes is 🔥🔥🔥 but there blanco starting at 80 its a huge pass only have tried there steel strength which was delicious but there to expensive
Dillon Rocks! Give ‘em hell Dillon! So awesome 🥃
Delightful Dillon - never gets old (surprisingly 😂)
And.......with less hatred. How nice is that?
Can’t go wrong with less hatred!

9.9 is not a round down lol. Agreed with Dillon.

Dillon Might be a Super Taster.
Sticker on outside is saying what's on the inside
It’s not gold or a star but yeah 😂
Dillon is definitely trying to get high off the vapors there....dang.
This video got heated. I was sensing a hint of ment and spices
Oh
Guys, it’s not cactus! Come on! Get it right. It is AGAVE, very different PLANT from A cactus.

y'all a lil too mean with Dillon

@@CuriosityPublic That is definitely not good, and is very damaging to a brand. They need to do a recall and replace these.
