Man that is exactly what I have been looking for ever since I had them at Bayou Jacks in Mckinney Tx. Thanks for the video, I can't wait to recreate this dish!
@@TexasStyleCuisine So I made the dish but a little different, I cooked them in the shell in an air fryer instead of on a grill in the pan, and I used goat-herb cheese on top. Otherwise it was pretty much the same and they came out DELICIOUS! I sure appreciate the video.
Maitree15 the grill is adjustable so it is on wires so I can roll it up and down lower it. Check out my fajita video or my tri tip. Both of those show it better.
Wow this is a great recipe! I really like oysters - just got used to eating them raw, but will have to check this out. Grilled oysters sounds wonderful. Thank you for the inspiration, Chef Johnny! ✌️✌️
Very tasty. We do first the raw oyster soaked in white wine, then add some rasped cheese and some pepper from the mill. Then for some minutes in the oven. You can dress some fine fresh chopped echalottes on it too. If you have the chance to get to France, make sure you'll visit the town of Cancale (Saint-Malo Bretagne) to eat oysters and fresh fish.
Oh my goodness!!! These look amazing! I’ve only had oysters once...and that was at oyster bake, years ago...they were bothering like this. But I had muscles in NZ...which I loved. You make this look so easy!
I have not preheated the pan before, but not a bad idea. My kids got me the pan at Sir la Table a few years ago. You may be able to find one there. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for your cooking experience in Sharon it's always appreciated I want to North East Oak Ozark Oklahoma boy my wife is from Alvin Texas I met her when I was working for Dow Chemical I'm a welder by trade we've been married for 25 years at three beautiful boys and we always enjoy Seafood and your channel together thank you so much I see that is your beautiful wife beside you lucky man. Never had charbroiled oysters until I went to New Orleans this past year. Had them again at a place called Pearl's Oyster House in Memphis. So I Just got a cast iron oyster pan for Christmas. I am going to try your recipe as soon as I can. Looks delicious. Do you have suggestions for other toppings?
I have a few pans that are rough and have not had a problem. Lodge cast iron is not as rough but it is not smooth by any means. But no I have had no problems using the pan with the rough texture. Thanks for watching.
Now that oyster Skillet was interesting , I got to say ,I think you outdone yourself on that one SIR - that look outstanding ! I appreciate the help on this one you taught me something new with those oysters oh yeah I know you do a little hunting just curious where you able to get out for any turkey and do a turkey breast recipe. Man I thought I was through obtaining CI pieces. Now I need one of those oyster molds. They looked great. My wife doesn’t eat oysters either. Kids and I love them.
Question Chef. What does a thumbs up on a videi do for you? It sure if you could do a videi in this or not but I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering? Maybe you could talk about watching ad videos vs no ad videos. I noticed some have ads and some don't. Also does it affect you if someone only watched part of your video?
WEll Jerry I had a long answer typed in answering your questions them I did something and the page flipped to another and I lost it all. I have to get somethings ready for the BBQ trailer right now and I am helping with a little league fund raiser. Once I get the trailer set up and the lettle League going I will retype my response. So give me alittle while and I will get back to you.
Jerry those are all great questions. Maybe I should do a video on this. Until then I will let you know things as I understand them here. 1st is the thumbs up. For a creator the thumbs up just tells us that you like what we are doing. For UA-cam it tells them the same. But they look at it as an interaction,YT is looking at what videos they will recommend. So not only are thumbs up good but so are thumbs down and also comments. The more comments the better. It shows interaction. As far as watch time goes, yes the more you watch the better it is for your standings in YT and how the will recommend. So they watch, views, watch time, watch duration, viewer interaction and if people stay on YT after watching your videos or not. So they look at these and many more things to determine which video they will recomend. Now about adds. After your channel has reach a certain size and viewership you can apply for adds. These adds will generate money for the channel. It is a small fraction of a penny for a view. So it takes thousands and thousands of views to generate any money at all. This money is paid out once a month. I am big enough now that I get a little from YT each month. I use it ro reinvest in the channel. I buy food for cooks, lighting for the videos and recantly I bought wireless mics for the videos. I used add money and also money from affiliates. These are companies that will pay you if someone buys something from them and goes through your link. I have 3 affiliates, Amazon, Cabela's and Campmaid. So that is how channels can make money and help to support themselves. I doubt I will ever be able to quit my day job, but when I am old I may not have to work as a Walmart greater. I will have my YT channel to suplement my retirement. How this answered your questions.
Texas Style Cuisine Thanks for the detailed explanation! That explains it. Hope it didn't take too much if your time. I appreciate the detailed response. As for the video I'm not an oyster man at all but I'd eat those.

Way too much butter, but apart from this it sounds great. .Garlic and chili flakes, nice! What do you do with the left over butter? could you freeze it for another time?
Give me a dry martini and oysters in the half-shell! I have tasted cooked oysters once, and they were like shoe leather. Have not had the guts to try them again. These, looks very appetizing and not shoes!
