Our First Colorado Trip!.. And a secret Wedding Proposal???

A couple years old, but still shares the story of when my ex-girlfriend (my wife hates when I call her that) and I went on a 3,000 mile Overlanding trip to Colorado in my '98 4Runner.. and I may have had a plan up my sleeve to PROPOSE!
Huge shout out to a couple of our Best friends Robby and Sammi for driving all the way out from the mid-west, hiking up to Sky Pond, and videotaping a special moment for us!

Great video, one thing’s really getting to me though and it’s your willingness to SPREAD DISINFORMATION. Ever heard of fact checkers? We as a society will never advance for as long as we have people out there claiming that “the Rocky Mountains were named after the Colorado Rockies baseball team”. I’m appalled and disgusted. To clear things up for those that have been manipulated by these folks, the Rocky Mountains were actually named after Sylvester Stallone’s character Rocky Balboa in the 1976 classic “Rocky.” The journey of the young underdog boxing champion is symbolized by this beautiful and vast range of mountains. Be better next time please!

Mr. Perkins. I apologize for the late reply, I only just saw your comment. I'm embarrassed to admit that we reported some incorrect information during our hike, there's simply no excuse. What's worse though is that while you called out our mistake, you corrected it with even less credible and somehow even more incorrect information. I had our in house historian dig into this and it appears the name actually stems from one of John Mellencamp's greatest hits. R.O.C.K In The USA, where the R.O.C.K that he's referring to is none other than Longs Peak, the tallest mountain in what is now the Rocky Mountain National Park.
