If you have not received Jesus Christ as your savior:
Repent and believe the gospel while there is yet time!
There is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.
It is impossible to please God without faith.
    Faith:
The substance of things hoped for but the evidence of things not seen.
Why would anyone neglect the wonderful gift of salvation from such a Holy loving God

It is just amazing that these reformed pastors and preachers stay true and faithful to the written word of God i.e. Scriptures. It has been 3 years that I have been to reformed theology and still learning. Listening to these men like Dr. Steve Lawson, Pastor John MacArthur etc in this reformed circle has benefited me alot in understanding Salvation and all these essential doctrines. In fact, I have never hear gospel presentation in my past life like the way these guys do. That piercings of the double edged sword.
Before I came to know of reformed theology, I was into Joel Osteen theology btw, that lasted only a week. I doubt it because it was too good for my ears. And I believe it was God who pulled me out of that pit. After I came to this reformed preaching, I was gripped into the sound teachings by these men.
When I read Bible, my understanding is way different now. Thanks to our Gracious God and these men.
The Bible study by Dr. Steve Lawson is just so good for my soul.
I am listening second round of the study on the book of Romans by Dr. Steve. The apps is very user friendly. Thank you for that. Probably, there might be third round.
And G3 Ministry is one I look out for to listen.
Pastor Josh Buice's heart to get the message of Christ, Salvation, worship etc is just amazing and thank God for him and this G3 Ministry.

    Great message! Praise the Lord!
15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
16 since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,
18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you
21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. -1 Peter 1:15-21

For Non-Believers outside Christianity... Justification of "FAITH" (alone/only) by the Grace of God, comes "First" by Belief and Acceptance of Jesus is the Son of God and Messiah/Christ, then by Repentance, and Baptism before the Justification of Good Work/Deed (Charity of Love) that is pleasing in the Eyes/Sight of God begins/starts... Good Work is necessary for the COMPLETION of our FAITH in Christ by/through God's Grace... without Good WORK you are not SAVED at the END (Judgment Day of God)... Christ Jesus always used the FUTURE (Perfect/Progressive) TENSE when it comes to SALVATION... "You Will/Shall be Saved"... "Today, you WILL/SHALL be with ME in Paradise."... etc. SALVATION is a process... the "Promise of Salvation" is at the moment you BELIEVE in Christ Jesus, but the "Fulfillment of Salvation" is NOT at the beginning or along the way but at the END if you had KEPT the Commandments of Christ... Amen.

The Righteousness comes from FAITH in Jesus' atoning BLOOD to cover our confessed and repented of sins!!! Jesus died so that His Blood can blot out your confessed and repented of sins. What is sin? Sin IS the TRANSGRESSION (breaking) of God's Law. God does not change! God does not change. He STILL requires complete obedience to His law! And the only law you all have a problem with is keeping God's Holy Sabbath, the 6th day, holy!! God established His Sabbath at creation, before sin existed. You and I MUST obey God's Moral Law.. all ten commandments. The only reason you say you can't keep God's Law, is because you don't want to keep God's Sabbath. You want to keep a false, a spurious Sabbath, and THIS will cost you your salvation. IF you will not obey God here, you will not obey God in Heaven.
This passionate sermon, which I think this man is sincere in speaking,, is still sincerely wrong.
As for works, it is true, you are not saved by "works". But you most certainly JUDGED and you are REWARDED by your works. But make no mistake, God REQUIRES all of us to obey His Law!! Do not deceive yourselves.
You are only made right before God by repentance and faith in Jesus' BLOOD to cover your sins. And the Judgment is going on RIGHT NOW, in the day of True Atonement, right now. Study Jesus' current ministry as our High Priest in Hebrews, in the true Heavenly Sanctuary...where He is Judging us in the true cleansing of the Sanctuary. Daniel 8:14...the 2300 days came to fulfillment in 1844. It was then that Jesus began His final phase of His ministry as our High Priest in the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary. As soon as He is done with this Judgment and cleansing out of our confessed sins, He is coming back. THEN the last 7 plagues fall on al those who have REJECTED truth.
I pray you listen to me....if you follow this man, you will be lost. You must also be sanctified!! Sanctification. Study Rev 3:18. Also be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.
    Be ye perfect, Jesus said.

Yes, 100% it is True that to have "FAITH in Christ by God's Grace" does not require/need "WORK" based on the Law of Moses because it is a FREE Gift from God just like the Gift of Freewill... But BEFORE you get "FAITH in Christ by God's Grace," one must first... "to Believe (verb), to Repent/Confess (verb), to Accept (verb) and to Go (verb) through Water Baptism... these are all "Good WORKS/DEEDS/ACTS" of Faith"...
Take Note #1: Without Good WORK of Faith is a "DEAD FAITH" (Ref. James 2)
Take Note #2: On Judgement Day of God, we are ALL (no exception) going to be judged according to our WORKS/DEEDS... (Ref. Rev. 20:12)
Take Note #3: Those BRANCHES (Christians) attached to the VINE (Christ) that do not BEAR FRUITS (No Good Works of Faith) after the GARDENER (God) had Pruned them, the Gardener (God) will cut them off (remove) from the VINE (Christ) and throw the Branches that do not Bear Fruits into the FIRE (Eternal Hell)... (Ref. John 15:1-8).
Take Note #4: SALVATION is a PROCESS... The "Promise of Salvation" is given the moment you BELIEVE (accept/repent) in Christ Jesus, but the FULFILLMENT of Salvation is at the END, on Judgment Day of God... St. Paul said, "All RUNNERS (Christians) must run to the fullest and finish the race for NO Runner RECEIVED the PRIZE/REWARD (Salvation) along the race track (along the way) but at the FINISH LINE (Judgment Day of God)... (Ref. 1 Corinthians 9:24)
Take Note #5: Once appointed for mortal man to DIE (first), and after that the Judgment of God whether SAVED (condemned) or NOT... (Ref. Hebrews 9:27-28)
All Glory, Praises, and Thanksgiving to God in Christ Jesus' name... Amen.

To have FAITH in Christ Jesus by the Grace of God, nobody needs the WORKS (Acts/Deeds) so that nobody could boast about it, just need to BELIEVE, ACCEPT, REPENT, and UNDERGO Baptism...then, you become a "New Person with a Born Again Spirit," commonly called CHRISTIANS...
Take Note:... which "WORK" does not need (require) to have/acquire FAITH?... All WORKS written in the Law of Moses and Mosaic Law... For example, the animal burnt offering sacrifices for the atonement of Sin, physical circumcision, tithings, keeping the Jewish Sabbath, etc...
But one must understand that for a Man "to Believe, Accept, Repent, and Undergo" (baptism) are all VERBS, therefore, which means these are "WORK of FAITH."
AFTER, having/acquiring the Free Gift of FAITH in Christ Jesus by God's Grace, your "PROMISE" of Salvation is in the hands of Christ Jesus now... but the "FULFILLMENT" of the Promise of Salvation is at the END (once appointed to a mortal man to die, AFTER that, comes the Judgment of God / Ref. Hebrews 9:27-28)... therefore, while still ALIVE on Earth, your SALVATION through Faith in God by God's Grace is still a "PROMISE."
Analogy... for example ... When you enrolled yourself in a FREE tuition fee studies or Scholarship in Engineering, Nursing, or Medicine, etc... After enrolling into the chosen field of career, are you already an ENGINEER or DOCTOR at once?... NOPE... you need to WORK hard to finish the Curriculum you enrolled in and pass all Government Licensure, to practice your chosen field of career... the same analogy...
As St. Paul had said, All Runners (Christians) must RUN (do Good Works of Faith) to the Fullest and Finish the Race, for the Reward/Prize (Promise of Salvation) is received/given "ONLY" at the FINISH LINE (at the END of the Race)... Ref. 1 Corin 9:24 / Philippians 3:14 / 2 Tim. 4:7... Amen.

This man is never mentioning that your MUST REPENT. Do you think you will be saved without repentance for your sins of breaking God's Law? The faith you and I need are the FAITH OF Jesus....not faith IN. The devils have faith IN Jesus. BUT WE need our to abide in Christ through obedience to God's Law as well.
What is so dangerous about this sermon, is that He does not tell you the FULL truth. And the lack of the full truth, will cost you your salvation.

The Fulfillment of the "Scriptural Law" started when Christ Jesus said, "Today, upon HEARING from you Ears ( in your presence) the Scriptures have been FULFILLED...(Ref. Luke 4:21)... While the Fulfillment of the Prophecies of Christ's first Human form was fulfilled in His RESURRECTION, not at the Cross... WHY?
Take note: the "Fulfillment of the RAMSOM from the SIN of Mankind" was fulfilled when HE died on the Cross after Christ said. "Father, It is FINISHED/ACCOMPLISHED"...
I mentioned "Christ's FIRST Human form" because Christ Jesus already came to our world long before man was created... in Exodus, Christ Jesus is the ROCK who followed the Israelites in the desert in which Moses struck twice and brought forth fresh drinking water for the Israelites and their animals... and when many Israelites where beaten by poisonous desert snakes, Moses took a POLE stick that whoever looks at it will be saved (healed from the bites)... that Pole is Christ Jesus...
Therefore, if we are talking about separate Fulfillment, the "Scriptural Laws" were fulfilled in Luke 4:21... that was why when Christ fulfilled the LAWS, He started to perform "PUBLIC" Miracles, Healing the lepers, the blind can see, the lame can walk, cast out demons, etc. worked even during the Jewish Sabbath... Why?... because Christ Jesus became the "SABBATH of MAN"... After Fulfilling the Scriptural Laws, Christ no longer walked/bound with the Law of Moses or Mosaic Law... Christ Jesus is the NEW PRIESTHOOD and NEW LAW of God (ref. Hebrews 7:12).
And the "Fulfillment of the Prophecies" of Christ's FIRST coming in Human Form was His RESURRECTION DAY, when the "Prophecy to Destroy this Temple and in 3 Days He will build it again" (like Prophet Jonah, 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of a great fish) was FULFILLED... some argue, the fulfillment was when Christ was ascended back in Heaven... but I could not find any written Prophecy about that... do you know of any?... if none, therefore 3 Days and 3 Night Prophecies is the Last Prophecy fulfilled in Christ's first coming as Human being...
    Summarized:
Fulfillment of the Scriptural LAW... is in Luke 4:21.
Fulfillment of the Ransom from the SIN (transgression against God) of Mankind... Death on the Cross.
Fulfillment of the (Last) PROPHECIES of Christ's First coming in a Human form (not as a Spirit/The WORD)... Resurrection Day.
Now the Prophecies of Christ's RETURN as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords are starting to UNFOLD, like the Birth Pain Prophecy... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen.

Yes, we are justified by faith alone, but not by the doctrine of justification by faith.
    It is God who saves.
Through faith in Jesus who died for our sins and was resurrected to give us new life.
In Romans Paul is contrasting salvation by Christ with salvation by works.
One is His work, which we enter into by Faith (Believing, Trusting).
The other by what we must do to make ourselves right. (Our work and is always about us)
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
That is to believe what He has done in dying for our sins, i.e. his death and resurrection.
    The reality of it.
When you get it, you will be all consumed with who He is and lose sight of who we are.
Sometimes I think we spend so much time arguing about the doctrine we miss the meaning and effect of Christ's death and resurrection in our lives.
Calvinism is a lens through which one views the Bible.
If you use that lens guess what you will see.
My encounter with Jesus with was real and personal, and always conflicted with theological and doctrinal issues.
It has taken me years to understand why.
When I turned my understanding back to the person of Jesus, the Holy Spirit became my lens, and a reality of God I had heard about, became my experience.
Scriptures that didn't fit in theology began to make sense, and I didn’t have to change the meaning of scripture to fit my theology as Calvinism does.

      Jesus wrote nothing.
Sorry if you don’t know the difference between the teachings attributed to Calvin, and the Living Word of God, revealed in the Bible, Jesus.
Call it Calvinism, call it Reformed, call it the Doctrines of Grace.
Augustine wrote the doctrines that form the foundation of Calvinism when he mixed Christianity with Manichean Gnosticism.

My understanding of "Justification by Faith Alone (Sola Fide)" means thru the Grace of God, "FAITH" (not work) must come FIRST "alone" before "GOOD WORKS" (Charity of Love/Deeds) that are pleasing in the sight of God, begins/starts...
It can not be WORK alone first before FAITH or both Faith and Work thru Grace justifies us at "the same time"... Our Faith Alone in God must come "FIRST" to each individual, then through our Faith in God... the FRUITS of Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) will manifest or reflect on us thru the grace of God in Christ Jesus as "EVIDENCE" to our Faith... Yes, it is true... the Bible said, "FAITH without WORK is a dead faith"... but it did not say,... "WORK without FAITH is a dead work."... Christ said, No works/deeds of man can be justified in the sight of God unless Faith thru Grace of God must come first to man... and that Faith is thru HIs Son, Christ Jesus... after that, our Charity of Love/Deeds begins/starts throughout our life in Christ and that is where our DEEDS/WORKS will be judged by God on His Judgement Day (Rev. 20:12 / Roman 2:6/14:10-12)...
Therefore, FAITH "alone" must come FIRST before Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) begins/starts for those who truly repented and believe in God... Can not be the other way around... Amen.

    What is the gospel

  • @truth7416
    @truth7416 2 роки тому

Perhaps this will help you a bit.
Predestination example 1: Its kind of like this. A man’s wife is finally pregnant and the couple are over joyed. I hope it is a boy the man said and I hope he will be interested in becoming an electrician like me. I also hope he goes into the trade and if he does, I plan for him to take over the family business some day! But I know that these plans that I have made for him, before one of his days of life begin will be entirely up to my son. I cannot force him, I cannot put a gun to his head, I can only encourage and guide him and hope. In other word’s the man has predestined a plan for his son, He has chosen a plan for his son. He has elected to give all this to his son if he so desires it!
Outcome 1 The baby is born and it is a boy. He is interested in his fathers work and goes to electrical trade school, but drops out and becomes a lawyer instead.
Outcome 2 He drops out of school becomes a bum, a drunk or a murderer etc.
Outcome 3 The son follows his fathers predestinated plan, through trade school and takes over his father’s business. The fathers predestined plans for his son will happen, or will not happen, according to the choices the son makes.
Its the same with mankind. There is a master plan given to every human being to know God, reach salvation and eternity in Heaven.
But to follow or reject the plan is the choice given to every individual.
This is the "Good News Gospel" that the Angels proclaimed when the Messiah was born.
Satan has attacked that message from the beginning, twisting it into what is now known as Calvinism or the doctrine of election.
    Predestination example 2:
Grandma saves and saves to buy her granddaughter a plane ticket to France. She has been saving for many years and the day finally arrived and she gave her granddaughter her special gift.
The granddaughter goes to the airport and asks the attendant which plane to get on. The attendant says, what is your destination on your ticket? He reads the ticket which says “Destination France.”
He also said that flight 446 is a modern jet that was especially built and destined by the airline to fly exclusively to France for its entire service life. So, this aircraft has been predestined to fly to a predestined location, France.
The girl gets on the plane and is now destined to travel to France on the predestined plane, that has been predestined by its designers, to reach its predestined, destination!
This girl will arrive at her predestined trip that her grandmother predestined years before, as long as she goes to the airport, gets on the right plane and stays on the plane!
All this took place by the choices the granddaughter made.
Predestination example 3: "The man on an island." Imagine a man has been taken to a desolate island with everything he needs to survive and given only a Bible to occupy his time. This man has no preconceived idea about religion so everything he will learn over the next 10 years he will get directly from the Bible and Gods leading.
The man accepts God’s plan of salvation and what he has learned from the Bible. He repents and is born again.
The Holy Spirit is now counselling the man from the inside. He studies intensely for the 10 years growing in his faith and walking closer and closer with God daily.
After 10 years he comes back to the mainland world and decides he needs to fellowship with other Christians as the Bible says he should.
The man approaches a number of different churches and looks through the windows from the outside and says to himself “What are they doing in there what are they saying about God?
How do you think this man will compare what he knows to be true, from what he sees going on in the mainline churches today?
Do you think he will find what the mainline denominations are teaching will be in harmony to what this true follower of Jesus Christ has learned?
    You know it won’t be!
It then occurred to me that I am that man.
I became a Christian in the winter of 1980 and didn’t go to any church for 10 years.
I studied on my own directly from the Bible.
I did go to some Bible studies, but basically learned directly by Gods leading.

The Dangers of King James: CAN'T IGNORE THIS!!! Here we go! If we are dedicated to going by Scripture, which translation are we going to prefer? The ONLY translation that contains the word Easter instead of Passover is the King James. You may ask, "What is the error?" Do you want your children to grow up worshiping a pagan fertility goddess, or the only true God who caused the angel of death to pass over the houses of the people Israel who had put blood on the doorposts and lintel? Our culture is more interested in eggs and bunnies than on the true meaning. What other Christian celebrations have been hijacked for secular purposes?

Think about it this way. When you worship God are you worshipping Him when you are doing meaningless activities? When you brush your teeth, or feed the ducks, or climb a tree - are those activities worshipping God? No, of course not - there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of activities we do that aren’t related to worshipping God. It’s the same with some holiday traditions - Easter bunnies, eggs, Santa Claus, etc - they are all meaningless things we do. They are no more “worshiping a pagan fertility goddess” than brushing your teeth. There is absolutely no knowledge of those ancient worship practices when we do them in the 21st century. Our hearts are where the sin problem lies - pride, anger, lust, not honoring God, etc etc. We have to examine our heart - when I examine mine I think back to the times I participated in those holiday traditions - never once did I misplace my worship of the one true God as I eat a chocolate Easter egg or whatever - on the other hand, the ugliness of the sin of pride and lust etc finds a way to manifest itself every day in my life. We can’t get hung up on rooting out meaningless things - examining our heart is what is important.

What Dr. Lawson is preaching is Biblical truth. Calvin was a theologian who articulated these biblical truths after the Protestant reformation which enabled the Bible to be translated into spoken languages and distributed to men and woman. The Roman Catholic Church did not allow people access to the Bible and the Roman Catholic Church put many men to death for their efforts to make the Bible and it’s true message available to the public. I misunderstood Calvinism until I read and studied the Bible. It is clear in God’s word that we cannot save ourselves by our works and only God alone gives saving faith in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit through God’s work of Grace. God is God and chooses hearing/reading His inspired word as the means of grace. All sacraments are acknowledgements of God’s truth, “Do this in remembrance of me.” Baptism does not justify you, it is a worshipful public acknowledgement of a believer’s saving faith and resulting repentance and love for our Holy God and desire to please God. A true believer no longer suppresses the knowledge of God. We are justified by God, as a gift, by His grace…by no merit of our own.

Yes, we are justified by faith alone, but not by the doctrine of justification by faith.
      It is God who saves.
Through faith in Jesus who died for our sins and was resurrected to give us new life.
In Romans, Paul is contrasting salvation by Christ with salvation by works.
