This is so cool approaching the note from the note below in the chord progression. Also stoked to run the riff at first o the d string and then move the riff up on the g string and then b string. This refers to the Nashville Numbering system. So if we're in the key of E for example, the chords will be A E B C#m. When you look at the E major scale this is the order of the notes and the chords. 1. E 2. F#m 3. G#m 4. A 5. B 6. C#m 7. D#dim 1. E A is the 4th chord in the E major scale. E is the 1st chord in the E major scale. B is the 5th chord in the E major scale. C#m is the 6th chord in the E major scale.
