- Make Jelly Lotion: the Fun and Easy Way to Soft Skin! Jelly lotion works just like regular lotion. It feels great on skin and it also has sort of a cooling effect because as the jelly melts on skin, it releases the water trapped within.
RECIPE: {original recipe times 8} 8 teaspoon gelatine = 1/8 cup + 2 teaspoons (27 grams) + 8 tablespoon distilled water = 1/2 cup water (115 grams), 40 grams butter (I used kokum), 24 grams stearic acid, 15 grams polysorbate 80, 8 grams fragrance oil, & 2 grams preservative.
JELLY LOTION BAR: 1 teaspoon gelatine + 1 tablespoon distilled water, 5 grams kokum butter, 3 grams raw coconut oil, 3 grams stearic acid, 1.5 grams cetyl alcohol, 2 grams poly 80, 1 milliliter fragrance oil.
Add gelatin to water while whisking so it doesn’t clump - you can use a regular whisk. Allow the gelatin to sit for a few minutes so it can "bloom". Melt butter, stearic acid, & polysorbate 80 together. Gently heat the gelatin so it dissolves; it's not supposed to bubble or boil. Stir the 2 mixtures together and add fragrance oil. Cool the mixture to under 100 degrees Fahrenheit & add preservative. Mix everything well. Use a container with a lid. anything with gelatin has to be in a closed container - if you leave it uncovered it's going to dry out & shrivel up. Pour mixture in container. Tap the container to release air bubbles & to level the mixture. Set the Jello. Freeze it about 20 minutes then allow it to become room temperature again. Use a powder spray bottle or bulb to dust the tops with mica.
PRO TIP: This is a very easy recipe but it's not a "soft" or "loose" recipe; measurements must be exact. I recommend making a small recipe first. Once satisfied, scale it up using EXACT measurements. I made the recipe below 3 times and it came out perfect EVERY time. But when I scaled the measurements up [for the video], it wasn't the same. The lotion felt more like Jell-O than cream. This is because I rounded the measurements (instead of using exact measurements). For instance, I used 50 grams of butter instead of 40.
ORIGINAL RECIPE (when formulating): 1 teaspoon gelatin + 1 tablespoon water, 5 grams kokum butter, 3 grams stearic acid, 2 grams polysorbate 80, 1 milliliter fragrance oil.

Love to watch Mother Nature's power when it storms♡
I love rainy gloomy days! My kids also love them! It’s the perfect time to relax but also get projects done around the house, snack, watch movies and even sneak a nap in!
So true. I’m not a fan of losing power but bring on the rest!
Yes! I feel that way too about stormy weather! ⛈️
I love good rain and thunder storm. I was a baby/little girl in Arkansas and they had the best storms...I especially loved the storms at night!
That’s my kind of heaven
I love a good storm; how it smells, how the air feels, how the sky looks... I want to go out and run in it!

This is really cool 😀Can you use optiphen preservative ? That's all I have and would be nice to try. Like it that it's a small batch, makes it easy for personal use.
I love your channel your such inspiration and your always so positive and informative. Do you create all your own recipes straight from your head? If so you are so talented!
Thanks so much. Most of them come straight from my head. I do lots of experiments.
Great video. I wonder if xanthum gum instead of gelatin and emulsifying wax instead of Polysorbate would work
Try it. I tried a recipe with just emulsifying wax & a recipe with E wax + poly80 & the 1 with poly80 worked better
This looked amazing so I made it. After rubbing it in, it then beads back up and almost flakes off. Im not sure if i over whipped it or something else went wrong, does anyone have any suggestions as I would love to get it right.
Hi luv ur vids. Question wht kind of mica do u use tht colours the bath water on ur bath bomb vids. when u say ml for the fragrance or poly or any of the wet ingredients are u using a ml pipette or do u weigh the wet ingredients? Thx for sharing your vids most don’t! thank u again 👍🏾
ml. = milliliters and that can be measured with pipette or weighed with scale. I use color powder to color my bath bombs. you can find several videos on making it here: ua-cam.com/play/PLZ9mkRAAYRNMlX35zLhf6eAcrZZkF2wgx.html
I absolutely agree with you about rainy days dark and overcast I love it.. We are Pluviophiles... If you don't know the term look it up it's really interestig. Love the jelly lotion Dora 😍

I imagine I could do something similar with Xanthan Gum?

Have you tried this with agar instead of gelatin? This looks so fun but I prefer to use agar instead of gelatin when possible
I haven’t but try it!
Can you use a deodorant applicator
Sure. I was going to do that actually.
