They look beautiful hun. I was just in the hospital with Covid pneumonia and I have congested heart failure. They didn’t think I was gonna make it. And here I am and I left the hospital 2 days early no less. They said I was a modern day miracle that they can’t explain. But while I was in the hospital scared and alone I watched ur videos and Holly’s, Katie’s, Karen’s, tiara’s and Tiggy’s video’s and it really calmed me and helped distract me. So thank u!
COVID is scary. You came out the other side. When I was at the height of sick, I promised to myself to make my “next life” count. So glad you’re doing better 😁
Wow 🙏 I'm so glad you had a great recovery 💕 stay strong & many blessings to you.
I’m so glad you made it! What a blessing🙏🏼✨😀
Thank God you are okey. What about now 1 year later. Our family was good no one was sick during Covid-19.
Praise the Lord, you came out of that. I had 3 family members who didn't make it. Yes, Mrs. Ellen and other wonderful Artisan UA-cam has the art of teaching to relax anyone. I am so glad her channel is still present.
I have to thank you, Ellen. I've been blessed with so many sales on my lotion bars because of your recipe. I've made little adjustments here and there but the base recipe has been a hit since day 1. Most of my customers have never seen a lotion bar and as soon as they try one they are hooked. I recently got my products in a locally made-only store and I am selling out of lotion bars weekly! I wouldn't have this level of success if it wasn't for your generosity in sharing these incredible recipes. Blessings to you and thank you again!!
Thank you! I wanted to learn how to make my own after spending $45 on a solid moisturizer from Sephora. Applying moisturizer in this format is such a relaxing self-care ritual. I'll be mimicking the smell of the sephora one by using lavender and chamomile oils at first for the scent. The product I'm referring to is packaged in cheesecloth in a bamboo box to preserve it. I highly recommend the cheesecloth wrapping! It's a nice, inexpensive addition.
I loved your tutorial. I got a lotion bar at a craft fair many years ago and wish to try this myself. For gifts for family and friends. Thank you for all of your knowledge.
Love this recipe Ellen. Thank you so much!
Lovely!

Thank you so much for this! I just launched my own herbal product business and I'm so overwhelmed with the little details. I'm very determined to keep thing low waste, but I couldn't figure out what to use to wrap my lotion bars because I didn't like the muffin liners!
She is such a beautiful person inside and out.
thank you for mentioning bees was alternative. I had a recipe with arrowroot powder and lost it. thank you so much. Looks great.
Love love this recipe! Wanted to mention your description says it's great for lips to! 💋 I agree I would add a disclaimer or brackets to say we must make sure you use lip safe ingredients! ^_^ again amazing videos!

tyvm you are wonderful and so joyful. update today. i went to church to give the lotion bars and it was a major hit. they loved it.
Yay! So glad they were a hit💕
Definitely going to try it this weekend, I want to add a touch of menthol and some rosemary and lavender. I has a similar bar in my office. I love rosemary, helps keeps great focus for a busy day. Also, I would use those coffee filter scraps for packaging. I love your product!! And you are always so delightful to watch! You inspire me, Thank you!
Oooo, you're scent combo sounds really nice!
You could use the trimmings for packaging in boxes, like you do the crinkle paper!
Wonderful recipe and informative. Thank you. I use cupcake papers for mine, but I don't sell them, just for myself and family
great as always😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks 🥰
I made these today and they are great!! Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge! I made the. In small 🦕 🦖 s and 💐 🌹 s for my kids to have single use ones! They loved them! Thank you!
You are so welcome!💕
You can use the trimming for shred packaging
Awesome and simple recipe! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and teaching us! I added some castor oil, aloe Vera powder . Used various flower molds and plan on giving them out as gifts to friends and family. Excited to see how it turns out !
Your additions sound lovely 💗
I'm hooked on your creamy lotion recipe but I think I may have to give this a try!
Let me know how you like it 💕
@@EllenRuthSoap 👍😊
I may 2 different scents with this recipe. Poured into heart and flower molds for Valentines Day! Double recipe of lavender essential oil with purple drizzle and double recipe of serenity with pink drizzle. They were so cute! Everyone loved them! I love this lotion bar recipe. Thank you!
Sounds great!💕❣️
Thank you a lot
You can use mini muffin tins. Fit perfectly
I have tried this ellen and it is super wonderful.my daughter who has skin asthma loves it!it keeps her very dry skin moisturized!thank you for generously sharing your wonderful recipe!🥰🥰🥰
So glad you're enjoying the recipe🥰
Thanks for sharing Ellen. I like to put mine in deodorant tubes. Makes it so easy to use. I like to use mine on my feet, they really help with those winter dry heals. Have a great day
I've seen the tubes, those are great!
Thanks!
Thank you so much❣️🎉

Thank you so much for watching💕
These solid lotion bars really are fantastic! I purchased one a while ago and really hadn't used mine. The winter has taken a toll on our skin and I got mine out and my husband and I love it! The skin on our hands improved literally within hours.
Thanks for sharing! I'm so glad you're loving them❣️
Hi Ellen ,another great product you have shared with us thank you . Would you consider showing how to make a basic label i make bath & body products , mostly bath bombs for my family but would like to be able to label products as in even the name of the fragrance but cant seem to do it . If you could that would be amazing if not i totally understand you are very busy. Thanks for always inspiring me to try new things your such a delight to watch .
Thanks so much for watching💕. I'm so challenged at the labels.. There are several other great youtubers that show how to make labels😉
I love making lotion bars! This is a wonderful recipe! I use Cupuacu Butter in mine, just half an ounce it's expensive and half an ounce of Murumuru Butter, Instead of the shea. Although I make a shea butter one as well. Sometimes I just feel like being extra, lol!
Oh, those butters sounds luxurious 💕
I love ur sweater ❤
Maybe if it was extremely tight
Your so awesome, love your channel ❤️
Thank you so much🥰
I'm making solid bars while watching this 😀. I just happened to see the new video, and hadn't even looked at what you were making yet.
What great timing 🤣🥰💕
Beautiful lotion bars! Love them! I use a similar lotion bar every day, it’s so wonderful during the winter time.
Thanks 💕 these are so nice on winter skin!
I forgot to ask you. Where do you get the container you mix your soap in? What is the size?
@@kimwagner8640 it's a 5L poly pitcher from Amazon, there's a link in the description box
I’m not sure if you’re still making these but I mak samples about that size I think and the 4-6 cup coffee filters work great without cutting 🥰
You are too adorable Ms. Ellen! I absolutely LOVVVVVE this video! I've been looking for another idea to add to my body products (as a newbie) to be able to offer a 3 item set. Now I can do a bar soap, a foaming liquid soap, and a lotion bar!!!! So excited to try this recipe! Will the colloidal oats help keep the lotion bar from feeling too greasy also? I only ask because I have colloidal oats but I don't have arrowroot powder and I was hoping to try this out this weekend. Thank you so much, as always, for such a wonderful and educational video! I LOVVVVVVE you and and your channel! (Saving to favorites to refer to later!) ❤
🥰 Thank you so much! Yes, the colloidal oats will help a bit, I think the arrowroot does a better job of cutting the "greasy feel", but the oats have great skin benefits too...
Oh, these are awesome, I was just thinking this morning about making some of these lol, so, ill use your recipe, but omit the coconut oil and use something else 😉. Thanks a bunch for sharing your recipes. Stay safe and healthy 🥰💞
I'd love to hear how they are without the coconut oil, do you sub with hard butters?
@@EllenRuthSoap
Yes, I also use sweet almond oil and Grapeseed, but I like Avocado in winter, I live in Michigan and it's very dry and cold 🥶 lol!
Can’t wait to try this recipe! Does anyone know how much/how many drops of essential oils to use in this recipe?
Shea butter won't get gritty if it's not cooled in the fridge? Love your recipes
These are adorable Ellen - and I giggled at your coffee filter trimming. I was like : ‘why isn’t she cutting them beforehand?!’ But who am I to laugh - you reminded me of when I announced I was going to “work harder not smarter” 😂😩🥹
🤣 Yup, I sometimes take the long way around😂
I have a bee farm so I process my own beeswax. I made these for kicks and my coworkers love them.
I appreciate your recipe. I like your "haircut" method the most!
Yay, thank you!💕
Hey Ellen! Happy new year. Have you ever considered making lotion tubes? Why or why not? Thanks 😊
I've seen them and been intrigued, I think they look great. I just really like the tins😉
Made these today using calendula infused almond oil for my liquid and cocoa butter. Used Rosemary YL essential oil for fragrance. This is the best recipe I’ve ever tried. All others were too greasy! Thanks for the arrowroot idea. I have loads of clay for soap recipes, so I might try that as well❤❤
Wonderful!
Love lotion bars🤓
Thanks💕
Just found your channel and I absolutely love it! Wish I’d found it sooner! You’re so well spoken, soothing voice, and make it easy to follow along. I love all of your tips and advice as well… Thank you for sharing your talent! I was wondering if you ever add extracts to your lotion bars? I use Aloe Extract in all of mine. I hadn’t thought about the addition of Vit E which would help with shelf life! Also wondering if you have a good lotion bar recipe for someone with eczema? I looked for a video and couldn’t find one on your channel. I’m thinking the addition of colloidal oatmeal to this recipe would be a good one to try. Would I use that in place of the Arrowroot? Thank You!
Welcome, so glad you found me! I haven't made extracts yet, but may be a future video... I've added colloidal oats to this formula and it's really nice, it can replace or be an addition to the arrowroot.
Thank you for your lovely recipe and video. You always do a great job. When working out the fragrance or essential oils do you total all the ingredients including the beeswax and multiply whatever skin safe %.
Yes, I include the beeswax in my total volume when figuring out my F.O.😉
Thank you for the video Ellen! I really enjoy your videos and find them very relaxing… will be making another batch of these bars soon for family and friends. I found this Gray Matter Batter essential oil on Amazon and it smells so amazing!!! It’s by Aura Cacia and it’s pricey but so worth it. If you know where I can get it cheaper, please let me know.
Thanks so much for watching🥰 I'm haven't used that essential oil company...
So pretty 😍
Great video 👏🏻 I am not working right now so I was worried about what Christmas presents to get my family so scanning UA-cam and this video hits perfect thank you! Can you please let us know where we can get the lovespell fragrance?
These would make great gifts! I get my fragrance from BeScented they call it "Loving Spell" due to trademark...
Thank you for this recipe. It's so simple. I made some sets yesterday. Because of the weather in India, still waiting for them to set
You can increase the beeswax a bit if your weather is super hot.
@@EllenRuthSoap i have put them in the freezer today. Let's see after a few hours
Sweet little things 🤗💛 your first haircut method was like a bowl cut and the second was freestyle 😁
🤣 Love that😂
I love your lotion bar recipe! Could I add a mica powder to tint the lotion like a glowy sunkissed shade?
Yes👍
I just gathered all the items to make these. It will be my first lotion bar recipe. My granddaughter and daughter in law are anxiously awaiting to try them out!
Have fun making 💕
@@EllenRuthSoap I made my bars but my hempseed oil was green, does that matter?
@@catherinekotrlik6551 No, most good hempseed oils are a dark green color.
@@EllenRuthSoap Thank you! They came out a lovely shade of light green and smell wonderful.
Made some of these last year after watching your video, they are absolutely wonderful especially in winter time. Thank you so much for sharing with use :)
Thanks for watching 🥰💕
These are amazing for the winter months! I make one using Menthol and folks love it for sore, achy muscles 🙂 Thank you for another great video ... I have learned so much from watching your videos .. you are a great teacher!
Menthol would feel really nice for a massage bar🥰
Great idea!
Joni..that's an awesome idea. How much do you add (percentage wise) if you don't mind me asking? Thanks ~ M
@@micheleforbes6035 I use 1 Tablespoon of the crystals and appr 40 drops of Peppermint Essential oil in the recipe I use .. sorry for the delay in answering .. we are opening a store and I haven't had much computer time 😁
