Something I have learned from our pastor, if you truly want to get close to the Lord, spend an hour a day in prayer. Set aside one whole hour, every day, at the end of which you will be in the Spirit! Feel the Holy Ghost and be speaking in tongues. It will destroy anxiety, give you peace and confidence! My wife and I have been doing this and hope it can help others.
But please keep in mind that it is not that easy to pray for an hour. Start small. It is better to be consistent and effective for 15 mins per day than try to spend a whole hour in prayer. Truth is sometimes the words dont come. Maybe part of that hour could be spent in praise and worship and Bible reading and as one becomes more consistent the Holy Spirit will assist your prayer and you can then find yourself praying longer. Dont want anyone feeling frustrated if they can't pray effectively for an hour. It takes time and consistency to build a relationship or a skill. Prayer is a skill it is a spiritual weapon that need to be developed to be its most effective. Be blessed.

I love the symbolism in this. We tend to build our own kindoms and when God knocks them down, we tend to become angry. But when we finally open our eyes we see that he has a greater kindom in plan for us.
There is one person who was building correctly: The Word that formed us out of clay, built his kingdom through this same clay. When you feel alone in the sober realization of drowning, remember that he is there; ask Jesus, the Word that speaks life into the clay, to speak life into you; do this and you will receive a crown of life, He will barry your sin at the bottom of the ocean, give you a crown of life, and pull you out. In Christ we are given life, the ability to walk on water, the warmth of the Son, and a hope for those who are are drowning in their tears. Someday we will all share room in a castle built upon the rock.
To all that are saying he's homosexual, so what? He's giving his life to the Lord and the Lord will love him for that. Stop bashing people for how they look or act. What if he's not gay? We all need to open our hearts and love everyone, that's what our savior wants.
We can love him and God loves him no doubt but the Bible condemns homosexuality and it really is as simple as that. There's no "so what?" to it. It is a sin and an abomination to God. With that being said, I really doubt the guy is a homosexual anyway and all these comments about it are unnecessary.
When you are watching this music video , please look past the makeup and focus on the message of the video! So many times we try to build our own castle and it ends up being knocked down by the waves and the world crashing down on it. We need to focus more on God and let him step into out lives and build the castle for us! Our lives need to be more about Him and less of ourselves!

My depression was so bad because I was trying to please the world and not God. But this song helped me realize God is who I live for not me or anyone else. Please Lord take all of me. If anyone sees this I need prayer to stay strong. Depression is so hard to battle. But I know God can get me through this.
I think a lot of people already commented about him not being gay, but I'd just like to say something. Many people are saying that you can be gay and Christian at the same time. I disagree. The Bible clearly says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, ... Will inherit the kingdom of God." This does not mean that if you've ever sinned you are going to hell. It means that if you continue in sin after becoming a Christian than you will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the good news is that when Jesus is in your heart, he helps you change. Ask the Lord for help to change and he will help you.

Such as; eating pork (Leviticus 11:7), jewelry/fashion (Timothy 2:9), working on saturdays (Exodus 31:14-15), wearing clothing of mixed fabric (Leviticus 19:19)? I got my friend, who's a Christian, into My Chemical Romance, and she's been telling me to listen to Colton Dixon, and it's much different than I thought it was. Now, I'm not a full on Christian, and by that I mean I'm not 100% sure about a God, but this is a lot better than than I first thought.

I don’t know where he is in his walk with God and that’s not what is important, it’s not our job to judge it’s our job to love one another, be the light in the darkness. I’m not saying that it’s ok to be gay/bi exc, it’s a life style choice they had chosen, but God tells us to love unconditionally so that they will see the light in us and praise God in heaven and turn from wickedness. Their walk with God is not our concern we are all on a different area in our path to God. God can use anyone to reach hundreds even thousands or millions, saved or unsaved, God has a plan and his way is perfect. Don’t judge, just love them where they are at and show them the love of God, and let God change them.

(I'm very, very late commenting but...) If you think about it, the video could be more than just a reference to a particular verse/group of verses in the bible, it could be a reference to several different ones. I can see both the Tower of Babel as well as the man who built his house on the sand, but there could also be the "cast your crowns before Him" in/after the underwater scene? I know he didn't actually throw the crown on the ground but in a way, I still think it could apply. But in all honesty, I think it's meant to be based on your interpretation of what you relate each piece to. I could be wrong about this but regardless, it's a well-thought-out video and Colton Dixon is a very talented artist.

I love the symbolism in this. We tend to build our own kindoms and when God knocks them down, we tend to become angry. But when we finally open our eyes we see that he has a greater kindom in plan for us.
But it also represents the Tower of Babel in the bible. :)
There is one person who was building correctly:
The Word that formed us out of clay, built his kingdom through this same clay. Jesus was the pinnacle, the true vine, of the first kingdom; the key force through Israel who could make the connection to the warmth and light of the Father (Israel was to reveal God to mankind, and this was finalized in Christ).
He had access to the light and he showed this light to us. Because of our wickedness we rejected him; this describes the corruption that killed Jesus; ultimately, the act that also destroyed the kingdom established through the law (symbolized by the destruction of the temple).
Who was the first one to the depths of the ocean? When we are drowning in our anguish we can trade it for a crown of life; because he made a way out. When you feel alone in the sober realization of drowning, remember that he is there; ask Jesus, the Word that speaks life into the clay, to speak life into you; do this and you will receive a crown of life, He will barry your sin at the bottom of the ocean, give you a crown of life, and pull you out.
In Christ we are given life, the ability to walk on water, the warmth of the Son, and a hope for those who are are drowning in their tears. Someday we will all share room in a castle built upon the rock.
To all that are saying he's homosexual, so what? He's giving his life to the Lord and the Lord will love him for that. Stop bashing people for how they look or act. What if he's not gay? We all need to open our hearts and love everyone, that's what our savior wants.
We can love him and God loves him no doubt but the Bible condemns homosexuality and it really is as simple as that. There's no "so what?" to it. It is a sin and an abomination to God. With that being said, I really doubt the guy is a homosexual anyway and all these comments about it are unnecessary.

I think a lot of people already commented about him not being gay, but I'd just like to say something. Many people are saying that you can be gay and Christian at the same time. I disagree. The Bible clearly says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, ... Will inherit the kingdom of God." This does not mean that if you've ever sinned you are going to hell. It means that if you continue in sin after becoming a Christian than you will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the good news is that when Jesus is in your heart, he helps you change. Ask the Lord for help to change and he will help you.
I'd also like to clarify that I don't think the man in the video is gay. Many people in theater were makeup, as other people mentioned.

(I'm very, very late commenting but...) If you think about it, the video could be more than just a reference to a particular verse/group of verses in the bible, it could be a reference to several different ones. I can see both the Tower of Babel as well as the man who built his house on the sand, but there could also be the "cast your crowns before Him" in/after the underwater scene? I know he didn't actually throw the crown on the ground but in a way, I still think it could apply. But in all honesty, I think it's meant to be based on your interpretation of what you relate each piece to. I could be wrong about this but regardless, it's a well-thought-out video and Colton Dixon is a very talented artist.

Am I the only person who understands this music video? That guy decided to rake things into his own hands, he crafted his castle, but it ended up falling apart, like a sandcastle does as soon something as small as a wave of water comes along.
The Tower of Babel! That's what happens to us when we try to just work our way to God (which is our desire). However, we are unable to do this do to corruption (the waves). Everyone wants to build there lives up to the Sun.

One man did this and was successfully building towards the sky, his castle and Kingdom being build within the shifting sands of the human heart.
When the sin of the world tore Him down his death also contained his life. As he sank to the bottom of the earth he earned a crown of life. This is the crown over death made possible through the example of one man.
When the waves tear down your life you can rise again if you are connected to Christ. If you see the cross you can receive the crown of life!

My Dad just passed away in the morning of 2022/03/17 and later in the afternoon that same day my partner ended up everything with me and admitted that He has been living with another woman for a month now... Can't imagine the pain i've been that day. 💔 I kneeled and cried to God why do I need to go through this!
