Me three. I was driving home from visiting my mom and little brother a few hours ago. I was telling them about how God is moving in my life so much this past week and how he has really showed me himself in a big way for me to completely devote my life to God. This song came on the radio and I nearly had to pull over I was crying so hard out of joy. I was born into a Christian family being taught about God and Jesus all my life but I been running my entire life from God because I wanted to do what I wanted to do. God let me go do what I wanted but he was always there pulling at me to come back. Then the other night he spoke to me and I was lead to watch a random sermon that was in the suggestions that just so happened to make everything I was going through clear. It's just like the song. "Now the light are on, see I was never gone." Tears are coming to my eyes again just typing this. God is so amazing! His plan so perfect. Then, he came back not to audition but to offer support for his sister.. although thank goodness the judges forced him to audition! He has been such an inspiration to me and my faith. A peice of media finally made me cry. I was in a little bit of pain to begin with. I don't normally see myself as an emotional person, but the story of the father and son in this video spoke to me personally. It reminded me of the time I ran away from him for about a year and a half. Nothing that resulted in Chronic reprecussions (i.e. drug addiction) ever actually occured and I was able to catch the earliest form of suicidal thoughts. I finally called for help at my weakest, when I had fought for what felt like an eternity, though it was only about 18-19 months, and he came to me when I was at my weakest, when I was in that space where I knew time was limited. I called out for help and witnessed what I can only describe as a miracle from God himself. That year and a half's worth of depression, hardship, lonliness, fear, and helplessness began to break off and fall away like a concrete slab that had formed around me, and I felt freedom from all of that. I have been in a bad place since, including watching this video. I know a lot of people are critical of the CCM industry, but after having a brief cry watching this video which reminded me that God is faithful even to the point where even if I think that he won't forgive me for throwing away his gift of salvation that he had it waiting for me when I returned.

Today, full of sadness and depression, I started to realize how lost I was feeling. So I took my notebook and started writing to God about how lost I was feeling and how much I felt I was far away from him... I was writing him about how much I wanted him to let me come back to him and suddenly I realized this song was playing. It felt like if he was responding me and well, thanks Colton, it gave me the strength I needed to realize that he is always with us even when we do not want to notice his love.

I just in the last week found Colton's music after all these years and it must be a miracle from God because I had been in a dark place because of Covid19, laid off from work since the beginning of April, been with the same company for 19 years, received a letter a month ago that the lay off was extended from July 31st to October 2nd and unemployment & CARES act exhausted & ending, I had been crying & praying to God the Father of what to do, at my age to try to change to a different profession I have been in for 30 years, I was frightened for my family above all else & was feeling inadequate and worthless and then Colton's music of hope & inspiration hits me like a ton of bricks and I prayed & prayed for just some relief from our Father who is in Heaven and lo and behold, I receive a phone call from my job that I was to return to work on August 15th! Blessings & Prayers for you, Colton Dixon and thank you Jesus for working thru Colton to bring me Hope, Peace & Love in Jesus Christs name, who He and the Father receive all the Glory! Amen!!

This song literally spoke to me in volumes. Right now, what I'm going through makes it hard to believe that Jesus will always forgive me sometimes, but things like this help me realize that He was never gone, and never will be. Sometimes it's hard to believe that you didn't have to earn God's love; you had it all along.

Me three. I was driving home from visiting my mom and little brother a few hours ago. I was telling them about how God is moving in my life so much this past week and how he has really showed me himself in a big way for me to completely devote my life to God. This song came on the radio and I nearly had to pull over I was crying so hard out of joy. I was born into a Christian family being taught about God and Jesus all my life but I been running my entire life from God because I wanted to do what I wanted to do. God let me go do what I wanted but he was always there pulling at me to come back. Then the other night he spoke to me and I was lead to watch a random sermon that was in the suggestions that just so happened to make everything I was going through clear. It's just like the song. "Now the light are on, see I was never gone." Tears are coming to my eyes again just typing this. God is so amazing! His plan so perfect. He knew he had let me go so he could show me in a way I could understand. PRAISE GOD! AMEN!

OH MY WORD GUYS 😣 just today I made the connection that the father and the son is representative of us and God. We are the prodigal that runs away; we reject God's light (His provision of His word and talking to Him through prayer). Obviously, God does not get sick or old or pass away- that part is representative of us coming back to God completely forgiven, and yet still with the consequences and mourning of all of our wasted and lost time away from Him.

I love the end of this video where the son finally comes to visit His Father and after all these years, the dad opens his palm and gives him the light he was trying to give him in the past. It reminds me of our Father's (God"s) love for us. Even when we leave Him and go off to do our own things, He's still there for us and when we come back and admit our wrongs, He still has his blessings and His love waiting in store for us
This video actually helped me understand why I should respect my parents..my grandma was there for me and adopted me when I didn't have anybody and she's 72, i'm 14, and I need to respect her, because when her times comes i'll regret talking back and disrespecting her.

I've been a fan of Colton Dixon since the first time he appeared on American Idol and didn't make it to the live performances. Then, he came back not to audition but to offer support for his sister.. although thank goodness the judges forced him to audition! He has been such an inspiration to me and my faith. I finally got to see him perform live and I cried the whole time! Thank you Colton for the music you put out that inspires more and more people each day! You are a messenger and inspired me to be one as well. I never leave my house without my Colton cross necklace. :)

He placed 7th on American Idol in Season 11 (I believe it was Season 11), and although he did not come in First Place, He came in First in God's Heart and Eyes. A peice of media finally made me cry. I was in a little bit of pain to begin with. I don't normally see myself as an emotional person, but the story of the father and son in this video spoke to me personally. It reminded me of the time I ran away from him for about a year and a half. Nothing that resulted in Chronic reprecussions (i.e. drug addiction) ever actually occured and I was able to catch the earliest form of suicidal thoughts. I finally called for help at my weakest, when I had fought for what felt like an eternity, though it was only about 18-19 months, and he came to me when I was at my weakest, when I was in that space where I knew time was limited. I called out for help and witnessed what I can only describe as a miracle from God himself. That year and a half's worth of depression, hardship, lonliness, fear, and helplessness began to break off and fall away like a concrete slab that had formed around me, and I felt freedom from all of that. I have been in a bad place since, including watching this video. I know a lot of people are critical of the CCM industry, but after having a brief cry watching this video which reminded me that God is faithful even to the point where even if I think that he won't forgive me for throwing away his gift of salvation that he had it waiting for me when I returned.

Today, full of sadness and depression, I started to realize how lost I was feeling. So I took my notebook and started writing to God about how lost I was feeling and how much I felt I was far away from him... I was writing him about how much I wanted him to let me come back to him and suddenly I realized this song was playing. It felt like if he was responding me and well, thanks Colton, it gave me the strength I needed to realize that he is always with us even when we do not want to notice his love.

I just in the last week found Colton's music after all these years and it must be a miracle from God because I had been in a dark place because of Covid19, laid off from work since the beginning of April, been with the same company for 19 years, received a letter a month ago that the lay off was extended from July 31st to October 2nd and unemployment & CARES act exhausted & ending, I had been crying & praying to God the Father of what to do, at my age to try to change to a different profession I have been in for 30 years, I was frightened for my family above all else & was feeling inadequate and worthless and then Colton's music of hope & inspiration hits me like a ton of bricks and I prayed & prayed for just some relief from our Father who is in Heaven and lo and behold, I receive a phone call from my job that I was to return to work on August 15th! Blessings & Prayers for you, Colton Dixon and thank you Jesus for working thru Colton to bring me Hope, Peace & Love in Jesus Christs name, who He and the Father receive all the Glory! Amen!!
