The one with the kid on a bike was a few years ago and that cat went after the dog to protect him. These cats, for the most part are in protection mode. I love both -an ex-Animal Rescue volunteer for 15 years.
An ex had a larger size dog and she would go zooming from room to room through the hallway. One day my cat at that time was like that's enough and followed the dog down the hallway and sat in the middle of it. When the dog turned back around she stopped in her tracks and was too scared to walk past. My cat wasn't even hissing or growling. lol
Years ago I had a 22 lb tom cat. One morning my daughter, age 14, woke me up telling me there was a puppy on our front porch (and can I keep him). About that time, my next door neighbor called to tell me that she saw someone drive down the street and threw the puppy out. Then our cat started messing with him, getting him to chase until they got to the front door. It was a beautiful all white boxer puppy, which we did keep. For the next 6 months they would wrestle, where the cat would body slam the puppy (you could hear it from the next room). So I tell people that my cat brought a puppy home.
The lady swinging that dog around in the air by its leash was nuts. I use a ribbon like that to tease my sister's cat (no live dog on the end of it). The trick is to time when the cat jumps then you can free kick it. If you get a good launch angle they can go really far and wont come back at you
😮
She basically turned that poor dog into a cat toy on a string.
Yeah but if she stops that cat was going to latch on and sink teeth. Cats can do very serious damage in a just a second or two in a situation like that. I had a cat that turned vicious out of nowhere and I've seen those postures that I saw in a couple of these videos, and I've been hospitalized because of it. That was a territorial charge, not a cat going after a toy.
I feel sorry for that dog, it's owner did more damage swinging it around like that then the cat did, poor thing
I love both cats and dogs. Cats are typically more independent and have a mind of their own where as dogs behavior is based more on training and how they are treated. Of course there are exceptions to everything.
Cats are outdoorsy per say. While dogs love being with there owners more whether it's out doors or indoors.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld My cat isn't. Her previous owners gave her away because they hated having litter boxes and they WANTED her to go outside to do her business, but she just didn't want to go outside. They literally had to force her out the door and try to hurry to close the door before she ran back inside. I'm perfectly fine with her being an indoor cat. It's not that hard to scoop a litter box, and cats are safer and healthier when kept indoors.
I am a cat person through and through. Always have been, always will be. I am 50/50 on this one. In some of the clips the dog provoked the cat, cat gave warning and dog kept going back. Many times when a cat swats, it's claws aren't even out. Some dogs can be a wimp. People, just be responsible pet owners regardless of what kind of pet you have. Some of the cats could have been feral too.
Exactly. Often people are afraid of cats because they came across a feral/undomesticated cat and thus they assume all cats are like that.
There are house cats. There are barn cats. These are fairly docile. But the street cat, is shoot on sight.
That guy laughing at the two dogs trying to kill the cat is disgusting.
8:22 the cat here had every right to get its claws out the dog tried to attack a kitten for no reason the cat had every right to bite the dog and the owner should’ve trained the dog not to attack random animals on the streets
You don't mess around with a mother cat. Any mother for that matter.
In a lot of those clips the cats shown are street cats just trying to survive. The better survival trait is to be aggressive against dogs, and to have a good exit strategy. The last 2 clips are especially painful to watch. The second to last clip has a cat that is clearly favoring a front leg so it has to get the encounter over quick if it wants to live. Running away will just trigger the dogs hunting instincts and with a bad leg the cat probably won’t be able to escape. In that last clip yes, the dog is tearing down the tree so it can kill the cat, and the scum filming it are laughing about it. Try putting yourself in the cat’s place and see things from their perspective.
Years ago we had cats and I got a chow lab mix puppy. As he grew up with the cats he knew his place. While he was a 100 pound adult the cats never backed down. Many times they would stand up on their back feet and slap him with their front ones, he would then push them over with nose and they would jump up and run.
The woman swinging the dog around should be arrested and never allowed to own a pet.
A lot of these cats in the home with dogs are playing like they would with siblings. Give it an hour and they'll be curled up next to them asleep.
1:35 That lady swung that dog around by the leash and then let it fly like it was an olympic weight throwing competition.
"what is dog going back" Cause it's a dog and they tend not to learn the first time.
Hit 5m likes for James to get Millie that damn American style fridge!
Knowing dogs, most of these dogs were in play mode. The cats were not.
Firstly, I would like to ask the owners to stop swinging their dogs like a lasso-they can seriously injure the dog. Most of those cats (the ones that act aggressive towards the dogs, those are probably stray cats, so they tend to be more aggressive with other animals because the cats are probably defending their territory. Like when you see multiple dogs with no collar having a go at the cats-those also are more than likely stray dogs that have formed a pack.
I got a angry cat vs dog story, only the cat was the one protecting me from an angry dog. So several years ago my neighbors had this dog that was just a nightmare, barked at everybody and everything, very confrontational, training didn't help etc. Anyway I was leaving to go to the store and heard this commotion in my neighbor's driveway, the dog was facing off with this stray cat. Me being incredibly stupid thought I could make it safely to my car since the animals were engaged with each other. But nope, the dog decides to come after me!
So I'm standing right by my car standing off with this brute (me yelling at it while it barks and growls) thinking 'shit I hope he doesn't attack me or hopefully someone helps.' PS no one came to help even though one of my other neighbors was literally feet away watching! Next thing I know there's this loud hiss and a yowl and I look to see the stray cat poised to strike! Bared teeth, raised hackles- the whole enchilada. Then it takes off like a bolt of lightning straight for the dog and gets the dog to chase it instead giving me a chance to get in my car and get away! Finally my neighbor who owned the dog came out and barked at the dog and the dog finally went inside and the stray cat was gone. Oh man never been so scared/shocked in my life!
I'm usually a dog person and don't have great luck with cats but that day it all went in reverse. Forever grateful to that stray cat for saving me. Also my neighbors who owned the dog are actually really great people but really struck out in the dog department.
The cats here aren't really mean, at least most of them. Most of the cats in this video are feral. Cats live in this limbo of being both predator and prey. Street cats are mistreated by humans and dogs alike most of the time. so it gets to a point where a cat sees a dog or a human and immediately goes into fight/flight mode and cats have learned that "fight" is a great survival tactic. come in hard and fast and whatever is facing you will back off. it's kept them alive.
I feel ya. I've got 5 dogs and 4 cats. There is always somebody angry with somebody else. 🤣
In virtually every case you see, the cates are afraid. Cats wont back down and every animal jas a fight or flite instinct. Cats know they can escape pretty easily so more often theyll choose fight.
I love both cats and dogs. That being said, I understand some cats attacking. If they are being chased or have kittens, cats can be tough and attack no matter the size of the dog. Most are just playing. I have a huge dog that loves kitties but strays either run or attack even though he just wants to lick them. That kitty in a tree was just mean.
We have a boxer and there are cats in our neighborhood that LOVE to terrorize her. They’ll get in our windows and sunbathe and act like they don’t even hear her on the other side of the glass going crazy and losing her $hit lol
My vet said cats will almost always win a cat/dog fight. He also said he'd rather be stuck in an exam room with an angry dog than an angry cat.
For my last cat, when she needed a bath we would fill the bath to about stomach level and put her in it, and close the shower door. Just wait for her to tire herself out. It was easier to handle her that way.
For dogs you only have to worry about their teeth, for cats you have to worry more for their claws but also their teeth. I once had a feral kitten latch onto me and it took two of us to get it free, still have the scars.
I could literally watch animal videos all day!
Cats are underpowered in the jaw size department, as well as strength. The cats that attack dogs have less ability but more courage and determination, not bullies, but trying to save others. Dogs can kill a cat easy, so cats need to fight hard, and when a cat has to defend a loved one, such as the kid on the bike video or their own kittens, it is no wonder they are wary of dogs
I'll say that alot of these are more of wild/undomesticated/feral cats and/or dogs. In which case both can be pretty nasty in general. Domesticated cats and dogs on the other hand are way more chill. Though one must remember we have been domesticating dogs for thousands of years so we pretty much got their feral side removed. Cats on the other hand haven't been domesticated as long at all.
Lastly I'd mention some people who have cats that act mean, its because the owners are usually mean with the cats and/or don't know how to raise them. Hitting a cat, screaming at them, scaring them all the time...etc turns a cat into a mean cat. I've gone to someones house where their cats always hide and like to scratch because the owners mean. But when the cat see's me, I approach them a certain way and they will actually be affectionate with me. Some people are just not meant to be cat owners sadly.
I didn't like this one too much. I rather see cute puppies than mean cats.
Some cat you just don’t cross. I once watched my friend’s German Shepard get backed into a corner by my Siamese cat. She may look cute and sweet, but she would attack a dog as soon as look at it.
I am sorry, people making the video laughing while filming? Some are plain mean.
My dog was Pit Bull and Black Lab. He would bite any cat bite that dared or another dog. He weighed 80 lbs.
I don't dislike cats. I have one that is really sweet but I'm not a cat person. However, a lot of people are mean to cats and it really ticks me off. Just let them be and most of the time they'll leave you be. Just saying...
It's sad when people kick Cats. They don't actually have 9 lives...
Exactly. I hate when people keep poking and prodding, petting, or teasing their cats when the cat clearly is already annoyed/agitated. They usually give you many warnings BEFORE they attack, yet people keep bugging the cat, then act all offended that the cat attacked them. Then act like the cats are the "mean" ones.
That video was actually disturbing. Why would people videotape instead of helping or separating the animals. They do it just to get likes on their videos
cats are crazy and that is why we love them!
when i was a kid i had a cat that roamed the naberhood and not one dog in my nabrehood ever when near that cat.
There are sound effects being put over some of these clips. So if there is laughter it's probably not in the original video.
Fun fact. Whild dogs of power, size and teeth on their side. Cats have 18 daggers. They are good at shredding damage. Dogs are better at killing.
Angry dogs versus poor cats would be so horrible. I prefer this one instead
Dogs are god's creatures while cats are minions of Satan himself!!... just kidding I love cats too. 😉
I refuse to feel bad for dogs that are attacked by cats unless is a very young puppy or disabled dog getting attacked by a grown cat. Dogs brought this on themselves from centuries of chasing and attacking cats. It's in their biology to fight back and attack now. Lol
Most of these dogs are wanting to play
There are core parts of the story that is true. Other parts of the story are a but romanticized. There's another video I believe is called the Star Spangled Banner that is a bit closer to the real story. I am 47 years old and I still shed a few tears when I hear this anthem because it is so powerful to me.
I think you've got the wrong video.
I don't feel bad for any of those dogs, lol.
Yeah, some off the cats were just being jerks. But cats are highly territorial and generally view dogs as a threat. And you know how the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense. Other times the dog just wanted to play and the cat was having none of it. And there were a few where they were both obviously playing. Keep in mind cats get killed by dogs, not the other way around. So it's not surprising many of the cats react with hostility to a dog nearby.
Cats and dogs can live together and be nice, I am a cat person, my husband has his dog, Now my cats may not like the dog but they let her be, Some of the cats where playing with the dog for they would have screamed if the cat was mad because blood would have been drawn and cat scratches hurt bad. I think many of these cats were must likely feral
I've had cats and dogs and various other animals. With mixed species, I "introduce" them to each other and until I'm reasonably sure they become accustomed to each other I watch them closely and separate them if I'm not going to be home. I've had cats that adopt puppies as "friends" and dogs that curiously tolerate kittens. Canines and felines actually all derive from a common ancestor. Dogs have a mutation giving them a hormone apart from the other canine family that helps them bond naturally to humans. Some of the dog/cat encounters were of a serious nature and some were not in the videos. I have a mother and her offspring (all adults now) that still fight but don't inflict serious injury. It is how they rank with each other and continue their martial arts training. I'm almost 70 and from my own experience I will say that they all have distinct personalities. I've had two cats that learned to paw on a (round) doorknob until the door opens. I think both species (and many others) are generally more intelligent that we give them credit for.
Cats will protect "their" humans and dogs will protect their "masters". Anecdotally, in the mountains near ski resorts a town where my son lives has a feral (stray) cat that operates with only 3 legs. The story goes that a coyote was responsible, but the cat is still strutting in the streets at night because the cat managed to seriously wound the coyote who may or may not have suffered mortal wounds. The cat healed on it's own and seems to stalk the streets at night with impunity now. The humans caring for pets do help shape their personalities to some degree and can "train" them to a lessor or higher degree. But one thing to remember, if any cat or dog feels it is in mortal danger, no matter how domestic it seems, can revert into a savage beast.
We are blessed as humans to be able to nurture a bond with many other species, some species might surprise you. However, many other species can actually bond with a limited number of other species as well. If you plan on having your first child at some point in the future, adopting a baby kitten or puppy will give you some valuable experience to help prepare you as a parent. When they get sick, they can't tell you what's going on, kitten, puppy or baby. Visit the vet with kitty or puppy, visit the pediatrician with baby. Teach them accepted behaviors, check. Watch them test the boundaries you've set for them, check. Experimenting with gravity, objects around them, expanding mobility, check. Potty training, check. There are lots of parallels. Sleepless nights, yes but even more so with baby. Later, a bond building between your child and the pet could be priceless.
Stooped by and hit the Like button
If cats were the size of dogs... there'd be no more dogs.
Mother cats will attack when their young are near.
Awesome video & reaction !!!
I love both cats and dogs but I’d choose dog if I had to. Cats are in the middle of the food chain. They are fierce like this because they have to be. If the dog loses it has a scratch if the cat loses good chance it dies.
Cats can escape and save them themselves. I remember seeing video footage where a cat jumped on top of fence and the Coyote chasing it couldn't do much but jump.
Is anybody else reminded of the 2001 comedy movie Cats & Dogs?
Not a fan of free roaming cats/feral cats, or people who think their cat can roam free at night and dig up flower beds and poop. Lets not talk about the mating sounds. If I was walking my dog and a free roaming cat attacked it, it would get kicked into traffic with expediency with no remorse.
Can’t say I liked this one very much. I am a dog person through and through, so did not enjoy watching mean cats go after dogs (especially ones who were wagging their tails when greeting the cat). I did like, however, the cat going after the dog that attacked the small boy on his bike though. That one circulated a while ago.
I’m a cat person. The cats feel threatened by this big beast and the dogs are too stupid to just leave them alone after one warning.
Cats are proof that the world is not flat because everything would have been pushed over the edge by now
That just made me sad.
I would have stuck with 5 mil. Give a challenge. Psychotic cats for the most part.
I just couldn't help thinking, what if someone had a seeing eye dog and this rabid cat just came running out of nowhere? It's not like the owner could help or even know what was going on. This was a hard one to watch. Not much of a cat fan.
Cats are mean and they don't care.
They are the supreme being in their minds.🤣🤣
Poor dogs...☹️☹️
You don't understand cats
Alive hunter 11
Cats attack because they are both predator and prey. In the situations with dogs head on a cat the gets grabbed and shaken will be hurt badly.
Dogs and cats that is no big unless the cat is not smart enough to know that there first attacks are in most cases surprise one and the dog is not ready for it and a dog's first move is to run away. now a cat or dog vs a raccoon that is a different story altogether some older raccoons are as big as a medium size dog. And I have see them eating cat and small dog for that matter. A friend of mine told me he saw one eating a rattlesnake once, now I don't know about that because I never see it so. Thanks for the vid
Its good thing cats at least hose cats stay small other wise we'd all be in serious trouble. I dont mess with my cat, she wants treat she get them as much or as often as she wants
This is why I’m a dog person. 😆
Same cats are cool but they love being outdoors doing stuff. Dogs can do anything.
Cats usually don't attack dogs unless the cat is in protective/defensive mode. Dogs are nosy and tend to provoke cats, then they act all terrified when the cat defends itself.
Cats can be vicious
In my household everybody had to get along with everybody else or there would be consequences at one time that included 1 parakeet, 1 cockatoo, 5 Rottweilers, 3 cats, 2 pigs, and roughly 38-45 chickens...we had 1 really randy rooster and 1 rooster who thought when was the cock of the walk and would attack the young children...he was supper for Sunday that the children came over for. But the children learned how to hypnotize a chicken..how to kill a chicken...how to pluck a chicken. They said it was the best chicken they had ever tasted...I ask is it because he is no longer going to terrorize you or because it was true the kids said both...we gave that particular rooster a break for about a month before dispatching him as he was a new addition to the family and we had the kids over everyday. The rest of the chickens were rather a bunch of fatties as they were fed every morning and evening and whenever the children came although they never came at the same time and the kids so loved to feed the chickens...it got so we fed them lightly in the morning...and depending on when the children age 2- 10 came and in what family groups we then changed how much was fed at night.
I love cats I have 4 of my own I'm not a dog person im sorry
8:20, the dog smelled the kittens, probably wasn’t gonna attack just curious but momma cat went into defense mode
The dog had that kitten in its mouth as it drug it out of the bushes and mom cat came to it's rescue, not sure what you watched but it sure wasn't that part.
I’m more of a cat person 🐱❤️
No one's perfect.

This stuff only works because these are good dogs.
Yeah, "angry dogs vs cats" would just be another way of saying "dead cats". I don't want to see angry dogs vs anything.
I`m sorry but cats are horrible little creatures.
