Predict feels clunkier than a 3 mana spell at times I was thinking shadow prophecy in a minor black splash grixis shell, since EI is close to a 3 mana play anyway and it safe from both blasts as well as an instant.
@@AndreaMengucci i see! I picked up a playset around the time modern horizons 2 released to mess around with DRC in legacy, and sawatarix made fun of me at the time for being late on the boat, but I'm still very happy with the purchase :D
I've seen some decks play a chart a course as a one of in canadian some years ago, but in this deck with all the baubles, brainstorms, ponders and channelers predict is definitely better. I do think just having preordains with 17-18 lands should be better though
Faithless Looting might work. It's a sorcery for delirium, and fills the graveyard for Murktide. But it does have the big issue of being a card selection spell and not a card advantage spell.
Yeah it's weird when I watch on my phone the audio is fine, but on my smart TV it's way off. The audio for R1 is still there despite the video skipping to R2.
Anyone heard of a card named preordain?... Isn't that just infinitely better with spelldancer? Yeah, chalice gets better, but not sure if that's gonna make that much of a difference
@blake pauling I honestly wonder if Predict and Mystic will eventually be cut entirely once the format stabilizes. EI/Sanctuary let you dig six for a Meltdown or other sideboard hate in grindy matchups. Predict doesn't let you dig two cards deeper like that. It also requires set up. Since you usually want to pop baubles early to get DRC or Murktide online, you really only have 8 cards that set up predict? 2 or 3 baubles are usually enough for DRC and Murktide, not a fan of having to run 4. Sanctuary feels really bad to draw, and bad in general without either recurring a specific answer or having EI. If you are in top deck mode, Predict is DRC or bust? I think Delver will eventually cut Mystic, cut a bauble and cut the Predicts for both Delver and Spelldancer (and maybe even Ledger Shredder to dig for sideboard cards once the meta game settles). That or RUG/BUG Delver will make a comeback

Iteration digs deeper and works without bubble or drc. But predict isn’t that bad

Very happy for Spelldancer to provide a good excuse not to run any Delvers. Delver has been the worst card in the deck for years.
Running spelldancer is a trap sadly... Also if playing predict you should be playing delver as you can look at the top card
