47:07 you have to say "are you good to move to blockers" and then cast your spell once they agree to move to blockers cause then their attacks are locked in but you still get priority before changing steps. I know this cause I've had the same argument around casting merfolk trickster when I was playing standard mono blue tempo
That would be just as much of a tell as what Spike did. What you really need to do is nothing. Wait until your opponent proposes a shortcut i.e. "go to blocks" or "go to damage", then the opponent is considered to have passed priority and you're safe to act.
@@user-mu9iw7st7c yeah you're right but sometimes they don't say anything cause they aren't thinking in that detailed of steps, so in my experience if you say "move to blocks" nonchalantly enough they don't usually think anything of it
If you move to blockers it's too late to cast the flash creature. I think your best bet is to unexcitedly say something like "so you're attacking with all?" or "you're attacking for N?"
Nadu was cool the first time you heard about it. But I think the main reason is that it doesn't rely on a turbo busted card just good synergies amongst its parts
In paper my strategy is to melodramatically over act on every decision, so when I bluff, it's impossible to tell. "Nothing to see here! Just tapping my creatures for mana....Or am I?"
I believe I saw in a judge discussion that in order to shortcut a loop, you have to be able to state the number of times you have to repeat the loop in order to get the desired outcome.
I've been a bit off of MTG content every since a little before MH3. Got the occasional spike video on, but mostly as background noise. But DAMN this deck has got those MTG hooks back on me
They will name it something that rolls off the tongue and expressed what the deck does, unlike short confusing nicknames like Scam or Nadudeless, "Blue,Green Elemental Titania Ramp Mid Range"
Making copies of the card copies the base card. Copying dryad arbor makes a creature with summoning sickness. Copying an animated land would make non creature lands you can then use to tap for mana
I wonder why the judge ruled that the opponent did not have to attack with the 1/1 when you had enduring curiosity? Maybe the proper timing was slightly later? Idk what sort of signal would clarify that we are done with the declare attackers step
I would think that if you've stayed slumped (or however else you bluffed) and confirm that the opponent is including the 1/1 in their attacks, as soon as that is confirmed then it's locked. So ask something like "attacking for a total of X?" (which also lets you confirm the power of each creature for prowess etc). A reasonable enough question because you're probably going to be updating your life total, so you need *a* number. I'm not a judge though so my advice only goes so far.
Spike probably could have said he was casting his spell, and the judge would have ruled it was too late for the opponent to take back the attack. Since he technically didn’t reveal anything, the opponent was able to do the take back.
@@michaeldegrave5905 I think the issue isn't whether the opponent was attacking at all (they attacked with other creatures), but that there was enough grey area for the judge about which creatures were attacking. So jumping straight to casting a spell might not have been enough to get the judge to side that the 1/1 was attacking.
Have u think , that if u have Nissa or cobra , and bestowe one nantuko into a manland (like inkmoth) you can do It infinite number of times whenever you landfall
I think if you're going to through the trouble of putting off fake body language, then you need to commit and call "Blocks" before you break character. I have no problem with what you're doing, but no game action took place between the opponent declaring his first attacks, then pulling back the 1/1. Right Judge call, need better execution with the body language.
If it’s blocks step, he can’t then cast a flash creature and block though, right? The correct time to cast it is after attackers are declared but before passing to the next step
Hedge shredder makes infinite 5/3s with Titania and infinite life with Zuran orb. You can't chord for it and it's probably far too "cute" but maybe in the future, there will be something
Would the deck benefit from a courser of kruphix effect? Seems nice to play lands from the top and let you shuffle craterhppf back in. Lifegain isn't irrelevant either vs boros, occulus etc
Gonna try it in paper 🤣 And gonna play 2 endurances main deck , going to loop during 50 minutes , kill my energy Oppenent and be happy with the 1-0 ( i m joking of course 😂)
Are you really sure that hoof is better than finale? I know you kept getting comments about hoof and always emphasized that a fair hoof isn't terrible, but neither is finale. Drawing finale randomly is much better than drawing hoof in most situations and when you combo and could chord for hoof you could also chord for nissa and continue comboing until you hit finale. Are there really more games where chord for hoof is the only immediately winning chord line than games where you draw hoof and would rather have a GSZ with a small tax? Especially with the one off silver bullets like ouphe I don't even outright hate the shitty 9th GSZ impression.
You got successfully angleshot. Hard to rule in your favor, because there were no real game actions to say that the information has changed. You needed to stay in character until after you either confirm attacks or put your creature on the stack.
This man just sent three videos in a row of the same deck, is that Love?
it’ll be ban worthy in a few months.
@@CrOeDdENew Mission: Get Nantuko banned?

Yes, that is love.
Maybe the real issue is actually cards with a 1UG mana cost

I already have this deck fully built in paper! I'm so excited to take it to FNM and go to time taking game actions 😂
I love this deck so much. Idk why it feels so luch cooler and more original than nadu

this deck is so unbelievably sweet
It was never about Nadu, it was about the friends (we lost) along the way

Finally a deck intro
If he would play a manland like (b)inkmoth or mutavault he can get infinite manlands/landfall with cobra/nissa and a nantuko on the manland
Like dryad arbor?

Let’s gooooooooo another video.
Of this deck I mean.
I want a timeless version of this deck
What do you think about going -1 nissa to have a better chance of hitting reef with her trigger?
Have u think , that if u have Nissa or cobra , and bestowe one nantuko into a manland (like inkmoth) you can do It infinite number of times whenever you landfall
The issue with ponder in modern: why worry about card selection when every card is a banger?
I am so dumb, I was playing a version of this and forgot that the walls don't tap for mana and delayed a turn (and lost) because of it
Flare of cultivation is probably missing a value green creature as enabler to be playable, and i like more the Wall of Roots in the deck
Is boseju not good anymore? 😮
NO-DU!!! No Nadu!!! It should be called No-du!!!!
I prefer the version without 4 walls, seems much less explosive.
no flare of cultivation is so sad :( its correct though
People will bring in hate eventually, I think spike broke modern, but not enough for a ban. Basically he broke it the perfect amount.
i play this deck, i always get a second nissa off of Nissa ability lol
