I feel you! I have an app for every brand I review. It’s overwhelming. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I just bought the Helio and a T Rex 3. I'm a long time Garmin fan, and I currently have a Venu 3? I think. I don't know. Part of Garmin's problem is the twelve thousand devices they have. But I miss wearing my analog watches and Garmin refuses to really do anything innovative. I tried an Amazfit watch a couple of years ago, but it was pretty immature. I'll try this pair for a few weeks and see if I like it! Thanks for the video.
I have a RingConn Gen 1 that I got at launch and I love it. Feeling no need to upgrade to the Gen 2 as of now. Great battery life and seems pretty accurate.
Nice! I did review the Gen 2. But I agree. No need to upgrade at this point. Unless you lose it or something. I just lost one of my smart rings. 😬 Yikes!
Damn! that looks super neat but the fact it's yet another device to be charged and doubles most functions from e.g. Garmin watch makes it somewhat pointless in my opinion. I understand the appeal for some, though. Seems to me like a shot in the dark from the manufacturers to catch some new customers. Also,as per your comments - it looks the software is still kinda lacking consistency and direction manufacturer wants to go in. As always - I appreciate the time and effort put in making the video. Great job!
Yeah this is how I feel as well. I would be really interested in a ring from Garmin, to be able to get metrics without wearing the watch. But another platform with redundant metrics is not an option for me.
Yeah, I agree. I have chatted with a few people who say that they don't want to wear a watch to sleep and something like this is an alternative for sleep tracking but watches don't bother me. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand same here. I used to sleep with my g-shock watch for many years, so I’m kinda used to it. Also, the fact the device is from another manufacturer, meaning additional software/ecosystem makes it a bit too much of a fuss for me.
As far as I know. I’d probably suggest a modern Amazfit watch. But data sync should work as long as you’re using the smart phone Zepp app. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I'm not sure. I'd go have a look and see if you can still get that introductory price on the RingConn. I have a feeling that they've updated the price. This Helio ring is on sale right now but there are other things to think about as well. Battery life, features, etc.
@mlegrand You seemed really hesitant to recommend the ringconn 2. Even with Amazfits highly inaccurate history of watches you still lean on this over ringconn🤨. If I were to want to purchase a ring solely based on overall accuracy regardless of features or price what would be ur pick?🧐
@@tacticalpencil - I've tested about 5 rings and I can't see or can't find any way to truly distinguish between the accuracy of these devices. Based on features, I would actually probably lean towards the UltraHuman Air Ring.
@@Jillwillrun - Let me know if you have questions. I have reviewed a few other smart rings on this channel. It's an intersting product category that seems to be heating up. Samsung has their new ring and Apple is rumored to be working on as well. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand If Apple releases one, that will dominate the market. They’ll observe everyone’s triumphs and failures and once released their version will be super polished. But they’ve taken so long to integrate a lot of the really athlete-focused metrics into the Watch and their Health app. Hardware releases this fall are poised to be interesting, what with the OS info already announced.
Cant take more apps. Garmin should make a ring, so i dont need to wear my watch 24x7 for body battery hrv sleep etc.

Lol, I just had the exact same thought. I bet they will.
@@russelljefferies6780They would have. They are way behind. I doubt it😢. Nothing beats Oura ring
Amazing video Matt. The editing is solid. Not much scratches on the ring.
sizing kit is key I agree with you
Happy training
Appreciate it! Thank you!

I'll have a T-Rex 3 video coming out in a few weeks. At that point, it might not be that helpful for you. 🤷♂️

@@mlegrand That's the downside of a ring. They're small and easy to lose.
once i hear amazfit,my accuracy compass goes wazzooo!!!!
Yeah, I imagine that Amazfit will improve over the years. 🤷♂️ Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Their recent smart watches like Balance and the recent T-REX 3 have improved a lot in the GPS tracking. There's tons of videos about this!
@@AMINISHAK - The rings (and by that I mean all of these tech rings, not just this helio ring) aren't as accurate as the watches in my opinion. 🤷♂

T. rex 3 review soon 🤞🏻
Well . . . I don't have one yet and it takes me a few weeks of testing before I can post a review. So hopefully in about a month or so. 🤷♂️
I'm actually seeing the Amazfit Helio Ring on sale right now: amzn.to/3MzXVbD Seems like a much better deal at this price point!
if i buy this ring can i have any amazfit watch to work together in the app? thanks a lot and great video

Mine comes today. It’s on sale on Amazon for $199
I saw that price too. Such a good deal! Thanks Chris!!!!
Should we get the RingConn gen 2 instead with the significantly better battery and similar price?

I will buy the ring thanks.
With the sleeping, the apple Watch tracks as well the time in bed before sleep. The Ring probably not.
Hope you enjoy this ring Koraka!
There is size 8 available on Amazon right now. 🙂
Size 8, 10 and 12 is up and available now. It's also on sale right now! Thanks Jill!!!
@@mlegrand So tempted to order! LOL I had a Motiv ring back in the day… they folded though, so my ring stopped being “smart”.

Yep, still wearing my Amazfit Helio now, and thank you the alternative video.
How are you liking it? I'm not sure what I think about this one.
