- In this video, I test out my new Korean gouache set by @sui9471, which I purcha on the recommendation of my lovely subscriber @melanie990, and that I unboxed and swatched in previous videos linked below. This is definitely not a sponsored video and these are my independent opinions. The artist and brand are on Instagram @illistrator_sui. I got this set on the recommendation of one of you beautiful, wonderful, brilliant subscribers! The information I have on this set all comes from the Amazon description and the Instagram profile for the artist and her brand. I used some of my new brushes and my new palette from that haul as well to make this adorable fox test piece in my Stillman and Birn Alpha Series Sketchbook!

I really love the deep colors of the water, and the first thing that jumped out at me (besides the adorableness of that fox) was the dark dark shadow! It is so dramatic against the icy blue foreground.
I loved doing the shadows! I even thought about the color of the grass poking through the snow there as opposed to the strands in full light! 🤗 I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This lovely painting really showcases those beautifully curated colours. I honestly am in awe of how far you brought yourself along since you first began your daily sketching journey in 2020. @@CreatingCuteArt I'm a beginner, lol, my first video proves it 😅 and like you I found an artist community on YT. Was a starvin' artist before I made my online art friends. And if you ever do visit Korea, this place rocks with art galleries and art stores. Bring an empty suitcase so you can take home load of Asian papers and scrolls for painting! Juicy! 🤗

Absolutely love this. Also I may want to give these a try also. I started with markers and fell in love with acrylic. Then found watercolor struggled with it but now it’s my main choice. I miss Acrylic but for me they’re a bit more pricy to maintain. Also I met my husband online and 15 year and 2 babies later we’re still so connected and in love. Im an artist as well and I’m here to find art friends and connect. My husband is an artist as well but we’re total art opposites if that makes any type of sense. Love your channel.
Ok let's please be art friends, we have too much in common!! I do love this gouache set and I love the built in limited color palette. I love the Blick Matte Acrylic for affordable acrylics that still feel like acryla gouache!!

Can you please do more videos people really rather try him i gouache instead of this for years I just wanna know If I can get my moneys worth 😭 like $43 for GREAT QUALITY PAINT Is better then $25 paint that’s just “okay” ppl have me upset 🙄 your smart 👍🏼
Hey Angelis!! I agree, I actually did a whole video on HIMI Maya Gouache and I will link it for you. I would recommend you get either Holbein Artist's Gouache or Windsor and Newton gouache--they mix beautifully and have a huge range of colors!! This Sui set is fabulous and I use it all the time, but it's a curated color set so if it's your only gouache it won't get you a full range of colors because it's not really meant for primary mixing! Wonderful video, thank you. I was wondering if this gouache will re-wet after it is dry? Could it be squeezed into a palette and used at a later time like watercolor?
It does rewet when dried, just like W&N gouache! It's not as lovely if you do it that way (unlike watercolor), but the small stay wet palette I got on Amazon in my first huge art haul (it's in my popular uploads, my most viewed video rn and it has a link to it), they would stay nice and creamy.
