Trust the process and the designer: yes and Amen!! (Goes for menopause too😵💫!) Thanks for spending time with us today, Ruth; it's always such a blessing💛.
Hi Ruth, loved your connection with knitting and God. It was beautiful and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Gorgeous knits and a wonderful warm nature makes your podcast such a pleasure. Thankyou x
I totally agree with you Ruth about the picture issue in knit patterns. Of course designers need to have pictures to "sell" their pattern, but I too wish there was a print pdf version added because some of the large cover photographs come out just soaked in colored inks when I forget to highlight only the pattern pages I want printed or when there are pictures on every page that we have no workaround to avoid using expensive inks. I see this issue resolved in recipes quite a bit where there is a print pdf option for the recipe so I know it can be done. Another lovely podcast so thank you very much! Your enthusiasm is wonderful and I always enjoy and appreciate your interpretation of God's word to finish the podcast.
Ruth, I am always amazed at how many beautiful projects you make and how you find the time to share them with your viewers. I always look forward to your words in Christ. You are truly a very special lady and God bless you.
❤ So good to see you again, Ruth. Great podcast. What! Someone said they did not enjoy seeing all the WIPs. Good heavens, if you don’t have WIPs, you don’t have finished objects. How else are you going to see a pattern you may not have come across and what better way is there to learn if your want to or do not want to knit it. Honestly I love seeing all of the WIPs - you have inspired me and showed me often what my next knit will be. All the best, Joyce
Thank you so much Ruth for sharing my fundraiser. It is indeed a cause close to my heart and just glad I am able to raise some funds and awareness from the crafts I enjoy so much. Your projects are beautiful as ever and inspire me for more projects. I defiantly need a Simon Shawl! Xx
It’s always so nice to spend time with you. I can’t believe that people would complain about your wips. If they have an issue they have the power to change the podcast they’re watching for goodness sake’s, no need to whine and complain about it. Honestly I guess it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. Personally I love seeing all the wips, it’s inspiring and your enthusiasm is so contagious. You keep it up!!💜
I totally agree. I get so much joy just witnessing the happiness on Ruth’s face as she shares her love of knitting and her love for her family, friends, and God. Thank you Ruth. Deb from Florida
Oh, Ruth. I so wish you were in our knitting group. You are an absolute hoot and a joy to watch. I come for the knitting and stay for the devotional. Thank you and don't ever change!
That was lovely Ruth. I enjoyed the knitting and think I see a Simon shawl in my future. The cowl you are wearing knitted from Kirsty’s handspun is so special. Beautiful words at the end. Thank you 🙏
Please continue to talk and talk about knitting, WIPs or whatever you want to talk about. I just love listening to you. Today was a pretty stressful day, so I purposefully turned on your podcast because I knew your kind, caring and fun nature would be a balm of sorts. People can silently push the stop button anytime they want. A wise friend once told me that it’s none of my business what someone thinks about me or what I do. 😂 it put things in perspective. ❤
Thank you Ruth, Your episodes always brighten my day. For bottom up sleeves I always knit them two at a time when possible I find it makes it feel less like a slog
Hi Ruth, I don’t post a lot of comments but I wanted you to know how much I love your podcasts and I never miss one. You are a beautiful person and so inspiring. I have added you to my bucket list of people I hope to meet someday. My list includes Garth Brooks, Simon Sinek, Laura Bush and Knitty McPurly. I also have a list of people to meet someday in heaven - Billy Graham, Barbara Bush and Abraham Lincoln. You are making a difference in the lives of so many.
I don't like having lots of wips, but love watching others parade theirs, isn't it part of why we watch knitted podcasts! Carry on showing what you want please. I'm trying to get over this beastly cold got the cough left , haven't knitted since last Thursday although i did manage to make it to and spend rather a lot at the East Anglican Yarn Festival on Sunday i had a wonderful time.
Thanks for another great podcast. You make such beautiful stuff. Feel free to start as many wips as you want, it’s your knitting and you should cast on if you want to. It gives you more variety and develops more skills, and I love watching your wip parade. Take care, be well, and have a lovely week ❤
Thank you for a fun chat and knit… never apologize for the number of WIPS!… I might be biased as I probably have 15 or so - LOL… but we are hear to see all you lovely knits and hear about the shenanigans that go along with our favourite hobby… can’t wait to see your bargain buys from EBay. Hope you are not really coming down with a cold.Take care and happy crafting🥰
My dear Ruth You are amazing loved the KNIT analog that you placed in with the word of the Lord. Im currently planning on moving to another state where i will not know anyone but I know that Jesue will be right by my side. Love love your podcasts i often listen on a satureday afternoon after a long week. Thank you for doing your podcast And God Bless you and your family! Thank , Carmela P.S Your going to do great with your speech!
Thanks for sharing with us Ruth! I love all the content but I especially stay because I also enjoy you! I think people that give unhelpful, unsolicited and negative opinions is akin to a stranger coming into your home and telling you how they don't like how you've decorated or you've done things wrong. Looking forward to catching up again on the next episode and I hope whatever bug you may have caught is gentle to you.
Thank you Ruth for another great podcast. I love seeing everything you have on and off your needles. Your smaller cowl goes so well with your Felix sweater. Will pray for you tomorrow and I know the Lord will be with you. I wish you were over here I'd get you to talk at our womens meeting. Hope you feel a bit better soon and look forward to the next podcast. ❤
100% agree on wanting a print version option on a paid patterns. I'll edit before printging but it's nice to already have it formatted. I very much prefer working from paper. A place to take notes, no power needed, light weight.
I just have to say, I want tonsee whatever you are working on. I hate it when podcasters feel like they have to do certain things. It usually leads to them burning out because it isn't bringing them joy. Keep working on what you enjoy and I will enjoy watching you being you!
Ruth, loved the Biblical knitting analogy. Psalm 139 "You knit me together in my mother's womb" is one of my favourite verses. My Mum taught me to knit as a child and I always think of her when I read this verse. Thank you ❤
Good luck with your talk in Thursday Ruth but its my belief that luck wont come into it - you are so engaging and your 'knit' analogy will capture all who will attend . Enjoy!
I hope your presentation was well received- I certainly got a lot out of it. Thanks for showing all your projects- FOs, WIPS …whatever! I enjoy them all. Blessings to you and your family!
Thank you, Ruth, for the beautiful devotional. You truly bless me as you share. Thank you, too, for telling us about the Lent Shawl last podcast. I joined along and am really enjoying it. I know your group will be so blessed as you speak to them.
Knitting podcasts are all about FOs, WIPs, patterns, and all knitting experiences. I truly enjoy your podcasts. Im always amazed at how fast you finish your projects. They're not WIPS for long. I kept saying out loud to myself. Make a yellow and gray "Simon" scarf. Was excited when you pulled it out of your project bag. Right on! Its YOU! 😊😊 I also enjoy your gospel you share. The world needs it. Keep up the good work. The podcasts I can't watch are those who share a years worth of completed sweaters with exaggerated detail. Oh lands alive! Bore me to tears.
Thank you for another lovely episode ! Your shawls look awesome, I love the yellow and grey combo ! And I totally enjoy the 'rambling', no need to apologize :)
I just want to say, I love seeing your FO’s and WIP’s. I get so many good ideas and have ordered yarn and bought patterns from your podcasts. I want to see them all. What are viewers looking for on a knitting podcast? I want to see all your crafting and your knitting is quite lovely. Please don’t stop showing us your projects. 🧶🧶
Thank you for being you Ruth. I always enjoy every moment of your podcast. I knit every day but am in awe of how many gorgeous items you manage to produce. Hope you all get back to good health quickly. Warm regards, Judy, Nelson Bay, Australia.
Even though you were feeling poorly, you still provided over 3,000 people with a happy, peaceful, joyous hour. Thank you, Ruth. I am continuing my knitting journey in N. Ireland. As you entertained me, I worked on my Richhill Shawl (Co. Armagh) Richhill is my mother's birthplace, my parents were married in Richhill Church in 1947, and my cousin is now the Church custodian there.

You will be great tomorrow! You're such a bright light! Don't forget to mention how therapeutic knitting is, I can say it's been a tremendous help for me and a painful back and all of the negative emotions that come with years of that.. It's brought this awesome community, that I am very thankful for!
thank you for being unabashedly open and honest about your faith. I am normally a monogamous knitter. (one project at a time) The amount of projects you complete oh my goodness. I don't know how you do it. Keep up your positive attitude
Another great podcast Ruth. I love seeing all your WIPs. Other people’s projects and yarn choices are endlessly fascinating to me. I hope you fight off the bugs and stay well.
Could never knit along with you, I am too slow. Remember it's your knitting and you can cast on if you want to. I love all the ideas. Possibly getting my mature hair cut short and may have issues with a cold neck. But not cold now. Several days 28C already. Listening to the thunderstorms blowing through tonight. No need to apologize for your many WIP's. It is one of the reasons I check in with your podcasts. Finding someone who has more than I have going is comforting - to me. But then I look at how many of them you finish and that puts me to shame. I also wish designers would have the pictures on pages we would not have to copy for the patterns. Such a waste of ink and paper. Love your style, personality and kindness in every one of your podcasts.

New to your channel Ruth, but really enjoyed your podcast right to the end. Look forward to your next one. Have a great time at your meeting tomorrow evening.
Another wonderful episode! I always copy and paste the text from patterns onto a word document so I can print it without the pictures. It takes a few minutes to get it arranged but it’s worth it! ❤
You are always such a joy to watch Ruth, always beautiful knitting and a beautiful outlook. I am sorry to hear you have had a migraine 😞 I used to suffer terribly from the age of 10 to around 50. They are debilitating. Once I hit menopause they magically stopped... until I started HRT.. they came back with a vengeance, and I was getting 2 or 3 a week sometimes. I have stopped the HRT, and I haven't had a migraine for almost 4 months. I would definitely rather suffer the symptoms of menopause rather than a migraine. At least I can go about my daily life whilst battling those 😂 something I can't do whilst suffering with a migraine. Anyways, probably a bit too much info there, but I hope you're feeling better now ❤
@ruthlovestoknitpodcast We are all unique, aren't we? I wish HRT hadn't made mine worse. I do recall being told that mine were caused by the excess oestrogen in my body which obviously declines with age, hence the menopause so having that bumped back up by HRT doesn't quite work well for me. The things we women have to endure! Have a lovely day, Ruth 😘
Dearest Ruth! I don't come for the knitting, I come for YOU! Your joy and faith are a blessing to me. 🤗
Wow, thank you
Trust the process and the designer: yes and Amen!! (Goes for menopause too😵💫!) Thanks for spending time with us today, Ruth; it's always such a blessing💛.

As you entertained me, I worked on my Richhill Shawl (Co. Armagh) Richhill is my mother's birthplace, my parents were married in Richhill Church in 1947, and my cousin is now the Church custodian there.
I trained as a nurse with a girl from Richhill x

Thoroughly enjoyed your podcast, thank you.

I love seeing all your knitting especially the WIPS. I hope you’re feeling better soon. 😊❤
Another great podcast! I love how you keep it real!
You will be great tomorrow! You're such a bright light! Don't forget to mention how therapeutic knitting is, I can say it's been a tremendous help for me and a painful back and all of the negative emotions that come with years of that.. It's brought this awesome community, that I am very thankful for!
Love the coastal path cowl with your felix jumper, the colours work to perfection. Enjoyed the podcast as always, thank you for sharing ❤x
thank you for being unabashedly open and honest about your faith. I am normally a monogamous knitter. (one project at a time) The amount of projects you complete oh my goodness. I don't know how you do it. Keep up your positive attitude
Thanx for your beautiful message❤
I agree with you, I would like a printable version, too.
Look so forward to listening to your podcast. Greetings from Canada
I like the end bit. Thanks for sharing.
Another great podcast Ruth. I love seeing all your WIPs. Other people’s projects and yarn choices are endlessly fascinating to me. I hope you fight off the bugs and stay well.
I just adore you and your podcast. I pray you feel better quickly. Thank you for sharing your love of Jesus!🩷
I can't read patterns on my screen either and get frustrated with all the photos sometimes too. I hope you have a blessed time casting on with abandon.
I love the WIP parade!! I also suffer from castonitis and it’s nice to know I’m not alone as I sit here looking at the 5 projects I currently have on the go sitting with me in the living room. Not to mention the innumerable WIP’s lurking in every room lol. ❤❤❤❤😊

Your thoughts at the end in relation to the word KNIT were perfect, Ruth!! That was so good. 💞 I'll pray your sharing goes well tomorrow. God will bless you... And the people who listen. I loved seeing all of your knitting projects. They're all so lovely. Take care and get well. ❤
I personally enjoy all your knitting, including all your wips. I just wish I could knit as much as you do. I’m slow I guess.
Ruth calicoradio has a UA-cam podcast. Her little dachshund is called Max, so adorable. She does tutorials for dog cowl as well
What a lovely surprise - you called out my name on your lovely podcast. How exciting I get to knit another lovely T&P design.Thankyou so much :} Lesley @DuckpoolLane
Just pop them a messsge on instagram x
Good word, Ruth. Thank you.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your light shines brightly. I may borrow your analogy to share with other. God bless!
You can probably think of a better one x
Another good podcast.
Always enjoy your podcasts
Love seeing ALL the things, WIPs , FOs and plans. All good! ❤
I don't know who is tuning in and not wanting to see WIPs. That is confusing to me.
I love the WIPs! The way you just enjoy your knitting helps remind me that stressing about FOs is silly. :)
It was the amount of them.
My brother just died last year from ALS 😣 Terrible disease. Also a friend died from this a couple years ago. A very worthy cause to provide respite for a caregiver. ❣️
So sorry for your loss x
No need to apologize for your many WIP's. It is one of the reasons I check in with your podcasts. Finding someone who has more than I have going is comforting - to me. But then I look at how many of them you finish and that puts me to shame. I also
wish designers would have the pictures on pages we would not have to copy for the patterns. Such a waste of ink and paper.
Love your style, personality and kindness in every one of your podcasts.
No no no feel no shame. There are no knitting police. Just enjoy your knitting x
your acronym for knit is awesome! What a great conversation starter for us.
I'm sure there could be better ones but my brain went that way x
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast actually the k and I were exactly what I was thinking. You did good and I'm so glad you're feeling cooler! 😄
I love all your wips and throughly love watching and listening to you
Love your podcast! I get migraines too, but have recently cut out tree nuts and all beans from my diet, seems to be working, fingers crossed 🤞
Lovely podcast Ruth ❤
RE: printable pattern directions. I copy and paste patterns to a Word document. I have to do some rearranging, but it's much easier. You could print that off.
New to your channel Ruth, but really enjoyed your podcast right to the end. Look forward to your next one. Have a great time at your meeting tomorrow evening.
You are very welcome here x
💛💛💛
Happy early birthday! The blue version of the Simon shawl is fab. I might have to try out the pattern (I am a newer knitter).
Do try it. It isnt difficult at all. Very repetitive so you will get the hang of all the increases etc.
Another wonderful episode! I always copy and paste the text from patterns onto a word document so I can print it without the pictures. It takes a few minutes to get it arranged but it’s worth it! ❤
Now that is smart.
Love all your knitting and all your WIPS 🙂
Is Fernanda okay? I loved her pods and her makes...I do hope she is ok. 💜 Love to you, Ruth, and hoping you hubby will recover well and fully.
She is fine just super busy x

I have stopped the HRT, and I haven't had a migraine for almost 4 months. I would definitely rather suffer the symptoms of menopause rather than a migraine. At least I can go about my daily life whilst battling those 😂 something I can't do whilst suffering with a migraine. Anyways, probably a bit too much info there, but I hope you're feeling better now ❤
Funny mine have vastly improved since I started HRT.
